Hey guys, thanks for watching. Here are some common questions I'm getting in the comments as well as an update! 1) Yes, it is stereo. You'll need a splitter cable to get 2 inputs from your mixer in order to use it truly in stereo, but the system IS stereo. 2) You can use multiple systems at once. Turn on the first one, let it pair, wait a few seconds, then turn on the next one and it will find the next frequency. I don't recommend using a LOT of cheap wireless though. Watch this video to find out why: th-cam.com/video/Xgw96rY4TAc/w-d-xo.html 3) The winner of the drawing has been notified. Thanks for entering! More coming soon :) UPDATE: So it appears that half the comments say they like the system, and half the comments are saying they are having problems with the system being distorted or too much hiss. I reached out to NUX and this was the response I got: The NUX B-7PSM is a stereo and wireless system, which means that the raw data size is double that of a mono wireless in-ear monitoring system. To ensure a stable connection, we have to compress the raw data to some extent, which results in a loss of sound quality and causes high frequency distortion. This distortion is more noticeable when playing guitar alone and using the system for quiet practice. However, it is still great for live performances and band rehearsals where multiple instruments are mixed together, and the distortion situation is dramatically reduced. So please keep that in mind. I used these at loud concerts, so that makes sense. I still stand by my review, and I always have these with me as a backup. Recently, we did a one-off gig in Dominican Republic with a fill-in guitar player, and he didn't know we needed ears. So I let him borrow these. I asked how they worked for him and he said they were great and he wanted to buy a pair for himself. Just wanted to let you know I'm getting mixed reviews on these, but they are working well for me. This IS part of the risk of buying cheaper wireless stuff. It will work for some, but not for others.
Hi Scott! Thank you so much for all your content and reviews! I'm hoping you can maybe help me, I just bought this system and I tried plugging it into the headphone out of both my Katana Air and HX Stomp and I'm getting this horrible fizzy noise like it's distortion from the source being too loud. No matter where I put the volume knob on either of those it sounds off. I tested it by plugging into my Macbook's headphone out and listening to some music and it worked, although if I listened to rock/metal sometimes it distorted again during the louder guitar parts. Do you have any tips for this? I'd hate to have wasted money on it just for it to be unusable. :(
If it’s working on one system (your Mac) but then not on your other system (your guitar stuff), then I would problem solve there. You are likely sending too hot of a signal to the IEM system from those devices and it’s causing it to distort. Hope that helps!
@@ScottUhlMusic Thanks for your response! Do you have any tips for making the signal less hot? As I said turning down the volume knob doesn't work. Maybe some kind of converter / cable or routing it through to a mixer / interface?
Try using the send block on the hx stomp, and plug the IEM into the send port on the hx stomp. With the send block you can chose the gain and how much signal is being sent to your ears. 👍
@@ScottUhlMusic Tried it, no dice...fizziness/distortion is still there when I plug it into anything other than a computer headphone out port. Even tried passing through mixers with RCA etc. and nothing worked. I might give an attenuator cable a try or a DI box but I'm not even sure those can solve it. I'm hoping if I invest in something like the Sennheiser XSW it won't have these issues. :( Thank you very much for your time and advice!
I’ve been using these as well as their 5.8 ghz wireless guitar system for about 8 months now. They’ve been awesome, no drops, great range and battery life.
Thanks for sharing! I know that some people have had problems with this, but they have worked so well for me. My singer needed to borrow them as well this last weekend when his were acting up, and he loved them as well.
So you can use both this and the wireless guitar system both in 5.8 ghz and they don't interfere with each other? I have the nux wireless guitar system and love it so far, and was thinking of getting these next
Thanks to NUX for raising the technology bar. And to YOU for continuing to raise the knowledge bar for us. Thanks for helping me get started with MIDI, too.
As a drummer and audio engineer, I'm always interested in these kind of wireless IEM options. Have been looking into the XVive system but wasn't convinced since it's still mono. Unbelievable this is a stereo one but still has the compact design. Really appreciate your reviews Scott, very helpful!
Nux are coming up with some surprisingly good products of late. A serious competitor in guitar accessories. I could do with this system in my small home studio, giving me freedom of movement, where the clutter of cables is an ongoing battle.
I use Senheizer with my band and Xvive for small acoustic gigs or home practice. I'm constantly impressed with how good the less expensive options are getting.
Thanks for the review-I’ve been comparing different models, watching reviews for everything on the cheaper end of these setups and this looks like a really good option. It’s between this and the XVive…the case is a real seller, and USB-C helps too. I especially like how you pointed out it’d be good option to just hear yourself directly, even if you can’t get the entire mix. As a brass player that little bit really helps. Chops go out the window quick if you’re playing too loud in effort to hear yourself.
There are two really cool things going on here: one, NuX breaking the mold with the 5.8G at an affordable price. Two, you are reviewing these systems and sharing all your knowledge with the world. As someone who has never gigged, but is interested in transitioning my gear toward a more professional capacity, I find your videos invaluable. I never know where to begin, or even know what to try and, more valuably, what to avoid. Thanks for the help, man 👍🏼
Never tried a nux product thanks for sharing tech is just renovating every year now .. I still use floor monitors hop I got the budget too get one of this and have more portability…
These are even stereo?! Holy crap, we live in an age of absolute technical insanely awesome stuff!! And time wise, we are still only at the beginning. Love these videos Scott, thank you for your thorough reviews and honest opinions. It really helps!
@@devoncomposition Yes!! Mind bogling, isn't it? You do need a splitter cable thought, to get from 2 outputs from your mixer to go to the single (stereo) input on the NUX, but yeah, still stereo!
These are so epic! As a drummer I often don’t need to go wireless but something like this is great for this shows where I stand on other instruments without breaking the bank!
I’ve been using both NUX wireless systems for guitar and dynamic microphone for few years now, and if anyone asks me, no one can beat the versatility and quality of those sets. Can’t wait to try this new set! Thanks for review!
It always amazes me how more and more accessible tech is becoming. Not too long ago, an in ear setup was for the big names when they toured - same with cutting the cord from guitar to amp. Of course, now amps aren't needed on the stage, nor are the wedge monitors! I have some sennheiser iem's that fit snugly, so all I need now to complete the picture is the transmitter and receiver. I get a lot out of your content, in particular the HX stomp and HX fx videos. I had no idea just how much of a deep dive I can go with them! So thank you for all the advice. Cheers dude!
I've been following you and looking at all your in ear monitors. This is the one for me. I'm over the loud stage sound. Thanks for the great content. Pete.
I have bought this system and here is my opinion : When I tried it at home it absolutely SUCKED. As many people say in the comment section, the sound is very distorted. I connected it to my Scarlett 2i2 and the output jack of my Macbook and I got the same results. A few days later I used it to rehearse with my band. It was connected to a mixer (a Soundcraft EFX8) and still sounded the same, but my ears got used to the bad sound quality really quickly. It didn't bother me at all during the rehearsal. Finally I used it at a small show and guess what: It sounded GREAT. I can't explain why, but maybe it's because of the "poor" quality of the gear I used this system with at home and during the rehearsal. The venue had a high end mixing console, so for me that's the reason. I hope this can help someone take a decision :) (English is not my native tongue, sorry if I made some mistakes)
Thanks for sharing! I really appreciate the insight. I’ve only used this live, so that might explain the mixed comments I’ve seen. I just let 2 more musicians borrow it as my spare, and yet again they both said “thanks, how much is that thing?” That’s what I get every single time I lend it to someone. So I appreciate the insight! It might be because of that. Who knows. But even soundcheck sounds fine. It’s just bizarre
At last an affordable solution for our little band (Springers) in Spain. I’m going down (from UK) on Sunday and will show your review to the rest of the guys. Many thanks Scott! 👍
With many other music related tasks to work on, which keep me from taking time to research gear such as this, it's so nice to have your videos for reference on what's new, cool, or better, etc. Thanks! This will be a great alternative to lugging my full sized IEM rig to gigs.
Great video I am currently using a wired solution, Behringer Powerplay P1 Personal In-ear Monitor Amplifier but this wireless option is a lot better! Thanks for sharing this info
I'm here because I have a NUX guitar wireless (the 2.4GHz since the 5.8GHz hadn't come out yet), and I love it. I agree about the sturdy case also being a recharge/battery. I'm glad this system gets a thumbs up, too.
I went out and bought these after watching your video and so far they work great! I have used these on 3 shows in 3 different cities and have had no issues with noise or dropouts. I also like the case that charges the units too. Keep the reviews coming!
That's actually a really dope system! Wouldn't have learned about it without this video. I've been looking into getting gear for my band to start doing shows independently, but this is something I could probably use immediately!
Thank you for this! I play at my church so I'll check their system tomorrow and see if it's got both 2.4 and 5.8 Ghz. I can also use this at home with my Pod Go!!! So much excitement right now! Much appreciated.

Thanks for the detailed video! These would work great for me on small jobs (and maybe keep me from walking off stage without unplugging wired in-ears!).
Hi there Scott! Your Channel is the BEST for learning about how to be prepared for a gig. I have learned so much about It on your Channel. Thanks for every episode!!! I apreciate It a lot. Take care
I have the nu-x wireless system for guitar. Got it after watching it in your channel. Same kind of hardware case to recharge. I absolutely love it. Completely cut the cords out of my rig. Also use a stomp and a midi footswitchs all connected to a powerbank. I recently got the wireless aiaiai overhead headphones. Probably wouldn't if I'd seen this before... Thanks for the reviews!
Amazon dropped mine off yesterday before I left for my gig. I took it to check out. Used it for two sets. It worked great. Showed my drummer, who then used it for one set, fed off his PM-16 or whatever it's called. He said it was great as well.
Definitely going to look into these. My girlfriend is a professional working musician, has been for over a decade, I’m an amateur who just played his first dive bar cover band gig this weekend lol. Everyone I know uses XVive, Shure and SennHeiser, and tells me that IEMs are the best thing since sliced bread. I’m hoping to learn how to use them soon and maybe pick up a pair for myself.
Review all Scott's videos on IEM and settled in on the NUX B7PSM. Some of the more inexpensive IEM ways were appealing, but the new The Doors Tribute Band in which I am the vocals, it is more important the get the vocals right. Good and easy to understand videos. Thanks.
Thank you so much for introducing this in ear system. I purchased the NUX C5RC based on your review & it works with my active bass. Looking forward to get this one
This would have come in handy this last weekend. I rarely travel with my IEM's because it's that much more gear to haul on the plane, and we really needed them this time around.
It has been really useful finding your channel. You have approached so many budget options for IEM and wireless options. Truly appreciate your perspective.
Thanks for sharing this. Honestly since I'm mainly a keyboard player , in live situations this is priceless. 'cause most bands usually have a cabled solution to the keys, which are cheaper ok but limit a lot of moment for everything even when we need to rapidly go see a setting on a rack a meter or 2 meter away. I'm glad this kind of solutions exist.
we have two 2.4 ghz systems in the band and there is often interference. Analog IEM's just sound bad in the same price range. I'm glad that finally something happens on the market.
This is like the perfect IEM system for a 2-piece band. Probably never going to get interference unless in a very wifi-heavy venue assuming only your frontman needs it and not the drummer, and even if the 2nd person does need it it's probably not bad.
Thanks, Scott - appreciate the detailed review! Have relied on some of your past reviews while sorting out my own IEM setup. Nice to have a solid 5.8 option.
Really cool product...I have been looking at transitioning to iems for awhile and this will be an option that will work for me and fit my budget as well...

Really cool IEMs. Looks like a great alternative to lugging my wedge to jams!
Thanks for this video. Our band is approaching the phase where something like this might be perfect.
This is a reasonable option. As a back up or main rig. That really would be an easy choice.
This is like the perfect IEM system for a 2-piece band. Probably never going to get interference unless in a very wifi-heavy venue assuming only your frontman needs it and not the drummer, and even if the 2nd person does need it it's probably not bad.
I would never say “never get interference” but as a duo these would definitely be great!
So awesome. I was about to buy something else on the 2.4ghz band, but will now get these instead, thanks so much for your review
I've been waiting for this, I already got the guitar unit based upon your review and it works like a charm. Would love one of these!
I have a couple Nux products, IR and Wireless Guitar System both great great quality , I'll have to give this one a shot
These look great! The footprint is so small! And the quality is there. Thanks for the review!
Great video! Very informative. Thanks for all the hard work you put into these videos! I’ve learned a lot from watching these.
This was a very informative video. Thanks for the detailed information about the NUX 5.8ghz.
Thanks, Scott - appreciate the detailed review! Have relied on some of your past reviews while sorting out my own IEM setup. Nice to have a solid 5.8 option.
I’ve been wanting to get into IEMs for a while now and these are dope!
These Seem like a cool set of in-ear kit. I may need to get these for church. Thanks for an awesome review!
Wish I would have known about these a month ago. Thanks for the great videos!
I have been researching in ear systems. This looks to be a great solution at a decent price point. Thank you for the review!
As always appreciate all your advice and reviews. cheers and thanks from Ireland 😎🍻
Really cool product...I have been looking at transitioning to iems for awhile and this will be an option that will work for me and fit my budget as well...
Never tried IEM but have been looking into this set thank you for the video
Thank you! I’ve been impressed with the NUX wireless rig and been using it for about a year. Seems like a no brainer to grab this also.
Glad you enjoyed it. Check my pinned comment to see the risks of this wireless IEM system though to make sure
I love my 5.8ghz guitar system. I've been wanting to see this video from you, thanks for it.
