Hi, what amp do you recommend with the Nux when making street music?
Love your videos. You are just too smart, haha. I am older and just in the last few years started using a pedalboard. I run my Woodwind condenser mic into a Voco Loco and have been using a PlethoraX5. It has no distortion. I have added a JIMS800. Someone suggested to run the Voco Loco through the send to the PlethoraX5 to the JIMS800 to my JBL PA speakers. This completely eliminates the Voco Loco Wet/Dry effects loop. This is a useful thing. Every video I have watched shows the effects loop running through the Voco Loco. Do you have any recommendations for this setup of the Voco Loco>Plethora> JIMS800>JBL PA? I play Native American Flutes/ Harmonicas and an EWI and just completely in over my head with all this technology. Oh, all are powered by a DC-7 power supply. Thanks, I hope you can help!
Thank
Very helpful thanks so much!
Still smashed!lol
My first use: I charged it and took it straight to stage with bari sax. It worked very well. It's easy to use and clip holds firmly. Sounds were ok with three piece horn section.
Does anyone sell a whole Complete sax Pedalboard ready to go turnkey out of the box.
Hell ya Taj Mahal!
I've got one, and it's great, but I still prefer a mic..as does many top guys like Michael Brecker...
100% right information ❤
Hello! I just came across this video and I was wondering what would i need to buy to make it portable because I am thinking of busking but im not to sure on if I would need all the things you showed in the video or if i would just need like a small speaker. Thank you!
It would be nice if it had some synth horn sounds like Harmon muted trumpet, or tuba etc...
That sounded amazing. Thanks!
The take away here is Jodie Foster’s sister plays saxophone
Wish I could hear ir with no toys and no "sort of" vibrato at the end of notes. Just about any mic will do to make the horn an effects triigger. How does it sound on a full throated traditional jazz tone? Im getting tired of the power pac and wire when I'm forced to go wireless.
Good info! If I'm ending up recording into a Zoom h6 instead of going into a mixer like you described...would I still need the DI box at the end of the chain? I just figured a mixer or a recorder would be able to take whatever impedance was coming from the end of the pedal chain?
So you're using the 1/4" out on the art tube pre? Does this impedance match well into the guitar pedals. I have a similar setup but I use my art tube pre for my vocal mic, then into guitar pedals. I always wondered if It would sound better if I was sure about the impedance matching? Thanks!
I hope will releass fhe 5.8Ghz din battery operated both ang fhe receiver was having a XLR and PL pit
Finally The Sax Players Are Taking Acid.
ı think reverb and delay is enough for me
Wonderful !! Thanks <3 ... do you prefer the Helix than a Zoom AX1 Four Multieffects or ona Boss VE-20?
Hi is it a condenser mic or dynamic ?thanks
A friend let me try this out and it’s a solid mic for the price. I’ve been thinking about getting this as a backup to my AMT-Q7
Love mine. Could use a mute, but otherwise flawless design! It’s been perfect on a couple of years of rock gigs.
Thank you so much- this is so helpful as I look to dive in to the world of effects pedals with my trombone!
Great tune, great tone - love the descending line at 2:17 - rockin
For all this a digitech rp500 can bee used...
I’ve used one for several years and I love it. It has never failed me and no signal loss.
If you don't need the guitar amps I highly recommend the Eventide H90
Play double horns through it!
Bless your heart! That was alot of bending down to change the functions. Hope your back is okay.
Is there a pedal that contains all of that in one? Or at least reverb and looper?
Thanks for showing your set up. How do you power your pedals? Do you have a pedal power supply?
Yes, I have a few different power supplies. I would recommend Voodoo Lab isolated power supplies.
@@cecilyterhune do you think a 6 band eq pedal would be sufficient for sax? Or are there certain frequencies that we have to keep an eye on?
man the sax with the rainbow machine is just sublime.
Thank you for all the demo! Very instructive and useful! Keep the good work!
You talk like young Jodie foster any reletion ?
I like her presentation, good sound on Alto (a very classic sound) there seems to be an obsession with toys!? 😱
Love them on my TM2, though I play a 3.75 and it feels a bit soft imo. About to buy a 4 to see where it gets me.
Could be fun, but if you play well you probably don't need most of then, plus too many effects can be tiresome. Good luck, thanks for the vid 😎👏👏👏
Hello Cecily, a awesome video!, very smart. Do you have any opinion on Zoom AX1 Four? (Will be a fun video)
These were INSANE man!!!!!
Hello, Cecily! Congratulations on the excellent content! I'm literally starting in the last few minutes to explore the use of pedals with the saxophone and I just found your videos. I got 2 questions (sorry if they are kinda fool, but I'm still a newbie 🙈) - I've noticed that you use headphones while playing. Where exactly is it plugged in? In the Evolve 30M? - How do you record the sound coming from the pedals? Do you connect the Evolve 30M to an interface that sends it to the computer? Or do you plug the pedalboard directly to an interface? Or any other way? Thank you VERY much! Cheers from Brazil 🇧🇷
thank you you are amazing and wor it with a guitar looppedal ...thank so much💯💐
my question is how to sound like a horn section by my self... any pedals you can reccomend.
You are beautiful 😅
Can You Record With A Mic into The input of a pedal with the output straight into a UA Volt 176 Interface Since it has A Built in PreAmp???
Now you tell me…damn gateway pedals
You're doing well.but make a video with any tape microphone!
Awesome as long as you don't use boost, OD or any gain effects... as soon as you do, with an open-air microphone, you're in big trouble. Specially if you rehearse on headphones: your first gig with actual speakers and stage monitor will be a BIG surprise you'll never forget ;-) (because of the feedback loops)> After that you'd run into piezzo mics, if you're like me you'd might spend years trying to design your own... then one day you discover the "intramic" and your live changes forever one again ;-)
How can I hire you for a remote session? Great!!!
