Thanks for showing the disassembly details. I followed a similar approach for my 2015 Kia Soul when routing the rear camera cable to a dashtop mounted Carplay DVR. For others doing the same, one thing to note is you have to pull the rear (back) panel straight up to remove it. As shown in the video this panel is held in only by the screw fastener in the inside center and the snap-in fasteners in the top lip. There are large tabs at the bottom of the panel and if you pull the bottom of the panel forward before they clear their mating catches the tabs can break off.

At the 10:57 mark I show it the black and gray wire is positive and the black wire is ground. I tapped into the wires on the female side of the harness that plugs to the taillights that I showed at the 10:40 mark

@megaman010391 no if you want the camera to always be on you will have to tap into the acc power either in the fuse box or the bcak of the cigarette lighter plug
@@JSmooth570 I forgot you have a digital rear mirror, I was taking about a regular back up camera connected to a 7" or 10" stereo. Once you activate "reverse" you would have activated the camera for your screen to appear.
@megaman010391 aftermarket radios should have a back up camera wire for a trigger and depending on the back up camera it may or my not have a trigger wire but if you want it on when you turn the car on wire it to the blue remote line or Radio Acc line
I have questions....... Where did (yellow) video cable hook to rear camera? I seen your 12v power cables you drilled hole for But up front you shown the yellow video cables connected but didn't see it connected to camera end ???

Yeah. Not the mirror.. The camera (rear). Also has a yellow vid cable..on most. I seen you pull power wires through with coat hanger. But where's the video cable (yellow). That's what I was referring too. Red / black. Was power feed correct?
@barber man yes it might of had a back cable that then attaches to another cable with the yellow. Not all cameras are exactly the same you might be over thinking it

I got mine from Ebay I checked Amazon they are way more expensive. They have cheaper ones that just clamp on the mirror and some that are wireless but I dont like those because of delayed transmission and they dont look factory. Because then your back up camera will only work when you turn the lights on
@@JSmooth570the backup white light always comes on whether you turn on your headlights or not. It would be fine to tap into the blue and black.

How did you take out the screw to the back panel in the trunk?
I used a Philips head screw driver and the panel pry tool with the hook tip

The wire was connected in the foot rest area then the yellow male to yellow female then up the the side pillar to the camera

The Black wire is negative ground and the black and Grey is positive power
i found 2 black wires wich one is the correct pair of the positive black/gray wire?

You mean auto dim? I didnt wire that but yes it had that feature that will need to be wired up to the acc line so that it turns on when the car is on
