    Thanks for your information Peter.
I've been doing 18/6 hour intermittent fasting, and some "one meal per day" eating for a little over a year and a half now. After trying all types of supplements, diets, cutting out all sugars, I have, for the first time in the last 40 years managed to get my triglycerides down from extremely high levels into the normal acceptable range.
That is what has worked for me to reduce Trigs, a bit late in life admittedly, but never the less, feeling a lot more confident for a little longer life at 73. Plus with the help of that "S" word and a couple of other drugs, the "magic" hands of a surgeon doing 3x coronary bypass surgery 22 years ago.

Thanks Peter for your videos, they're quite interesting. With respect to fibers, I'd like to mention that I did some pretty extensive testing and found that 1 big soup soup of 85% pure psyllium husk dilluted in water daily reduces my LDL by 15%. I know that because I did a blood test before starting, did it for 1 month, then did another blood test, and there was the result. Since then, I have not stopped taking psyllium, added bonus it reduces the risk of colon cancer. What's also interesting is that I had further tested for another month but this time with 2 big soup spoons of psyllium, but found out that there was no additional benefit vs a single big soup spoon. So in short the benefits seem do not seem to be indefinitely linear.
(unfortunately I have familial hypercholesterolemia and - to simplify my story - I eventually got a sent to one of my coronary arteries so I am now under S obviously, but my point is, fibers are indeed like an LDL sponge !).

Not if you have a genetic you'd have to take Statin. Also, I'd think that if a person has a heart disease i.e. stable angina, ischemic etc. it would be likely that they need to avoid fat in general including oil if you are a WFPB person.

there are different fats and some are actually beneficial. The issue is however that fats are more calorie dense and higher calorie. Having small amounts can de tricky and hence why they can also contribute to things like weight gain

PLANT STEROLS LOWER CHOLESTEROL, BUT INCREASE RISK FOR CORONARY HEART DISEASE
There is disagreement about whether phytosterols have an overall positive effect. Can you point to systematic reviews that show all cause mortality is reduced by taking phytosterols?
Fibre - can you provide evidence (not
Epidemiological studies) that reduction in LDL reduces allcause mortality?
Do stents long term reduce allcause mortality? Evidence 😅r are you just repeating guidelines?

Truly disappointing that you think low cholesterol is necessary. Low carbs and triglycerides are what are needed for heart health. Next, you'll probably be recommending reducing the consumption of saturated fat. I mistakenly thought you were knowledgeable about healthy nutrition. Talk to your fellow Aussie, Paul Mason.
