My favorite hot foil video!! And I loved every single card so much, I couldn’t even pick a favorite!!!! Very cool stuff! Btw, you just throw shakers together so fast! They still intimidate me so much! I bought the full panel waffleflower shaker acetate and the circles to try sometime.
Thanks so much, Denise! Well I do speed up these videos lol. I am not THAT fast! I think you will really enjoy the Waffle Flower Shaker Covers! They make it so easy!
Thank you Doris! You have no idea how many times I 've gotten those thin foil sheets stuck to the adhesive and then totally crumpled and pretty much ruined from sticking to that adhesive strip!
Lol. I was so excited there for a minute. Whenever I have a lot of empty space at the top, I add a big purple collegiate-style banner up there. I’ve decided that’s my signature image. Lol. I tease CZ all the time that she had room for a purple banner on this or that card. I caught my breath when I saw your banner thinking maybe you would make it purple. Lol
LOL, I love your thing for purple! Do you make a fun purple drink too?! I know everyone things aqua is so "last year" lol, but that is my color I could use all the time everywhere.
Such great options Rebecca! So many foiling videos but once looking into the expense, unless you are creating as a business and can either write it off or make up the cost from sales....the expense eventually is enormous. Machines, plates, foils...etc. I love that you were thoughtful in bringing options. I just couldn’t justify the expense myself. Really appreciate this! I’m in the middle of moving and my craft space is the last room to get organized. Once it’s done... I’m going to try these ideas! Thank you again Rebecca! You’re always so helpful and rational! 🙋♀️💕🌴

Thanks, Kathy! I do still love my Glimmer, but for FAST and super easy, I really like the Therm O web Transfers! Definitely feeling a lot better! Got my stress test results and no abnormalities there. So far so good!
This is very interesting video. I am not acquainted with foiling except to have seen a couple videos. They used a foiling machine & I do not want to invest in alot more equipment for this technique. But if I find some foil on sale I would like to try using my die cutting machine for this. Very nice directions.
Yes! It is so nice to be able to use what you already have. To be clear though, you will need the Therm o Web Adhesive Transfers to apply the foil with a die cut machine. Therm O Web tends to do lots of sales though. Maybe check them out around July 4th?!
I was so happy with how that acetate turned out! Especially with the rainbow foil?!! I don't think that sounds dumb at all. It MAY be fine, but I wouldn't want to try non heat resistant acetate in a laminator since sometimes they get hot enough to melt the laminating pouches I wouldn't want anything melting in your laminator gumming it up.
I enjoyed your basic foiling techniques. They are lovely end designs. If I buy the deco foil what do I need for the design to put on before the foil for it to adhere? I get confused when I am shopping for these materials. Some times the foil rolls are on clearance but the packages do not have this info on it. The carrier sheets come with a laminator in 1 size only?
Rebecca, I am having trouble with the ready toner cards and I have tried everything I can think of to fix it. Also, trouble with my glimmer. Foiling worked the first time, but every subsequent one, no go. Would love your input. I am using glimmer foil plates AND deco foil.
They are one time use. It is basically an adhesive design that you transfer to your paper and then use to transfer foil to it. Another viewer pointed out that you could use the acetate with the black design printed on it, but you can't foil that part.
@rebeccakeppel Question for you please! I have never done any foiling before (nor have I used a Die Cut machine or laminator), but I would like to foil only part of an image. For example, if I create a bouquet, I may want to only foil the stems. How would I do this? Thank you!
Each adhesive transfer can only be used once. It is basically an adhesive design which you transfer to the paper and then use the foil to transfer to it. Another viewer did suggest you could use the black image on the acetate on another card. Not to transfer foil just to use as is.
