honestly, I think that in this part 25:47 a 26:58 Naoki was able to show how he really felt to Kotoko and, above all, for the first time, he made her feel better. I finally understood that deep down he is learning to be a husband and what it all entails through trial and error. that's why I think this version is so amazing, because it's realistic.

Up until so far i have seen people critically analyzing Naoki's character but turn a blind eye to kotoko's. She's clumsy and a klutz which is an irony and a red flag given her profession. I'm a med school student who is soon going to be an intern in physical therapy and I can assure you that no hospital will hire a nurse like kotoko. In fact no university will let her pass. She's an airhead who keeps day dreaming most of the time. If you think about it she's put Naoki is a tight spot multiple times and while he got used to it, he doesn't mind which is actually sweet of him because if someone trips while running on stairs and I break my leg in the process to save them, but I would be pissed. Everyone only talks about kotoko's love for Naoki and Naoki being a horrible recipient but nobody notices how kotoko's way of loving Naoki is so overwhelming almost suffocating. It's been so long into their marriage yet she acts immature and doesn't seem to learn from, her actions. This is just an analysis ans I really like kotoko regardless. Both of their characters have imperfections and it's not right to only blame Naoki for his.

I don't know why people are always finding faults within him... i think It's the most realistic husband wife interaction... Women who have introverted husband can definitely relate to this...He's always dealing with jer clumsiness while She's dealing with his cold personality.... It's a equal situation... He's much more mature then her...and trust me I habe seen some relationship where the men and women are too similar and later they end up with thousands problems... But with the different personality type everything just balanced... It's one of my comfort drama ❤️

naoki is a green flag and here's my opinion ;
it's his first time being in a relationship and falling in love I mean we all are red flags somewhere there in our first experience in love and he tries his best for kotoko he has changed certain things for her, in season two we can see that he is more expressive about his love and give kotoko a lot of words of affirmations although he is not that expressive he always shows it with his actions and the amount of trust he has towards his wife's ability and his patience towards his clumsiness and so on and even in the boat scene too there was this superstition about couples breaking up but he trust their relationship so much that he didn't believe in that and moreover everyone in his family including himself knows he has attitude problem its's something that he is flawed about
but kotoko can put up with it and he tries to change as well and THE MAN LOVES HIS WIFE COZ HE BECAME A DOCTOR COZ OF HER, NAMED A VID GAME AFTER HER ,TEACHES HER EVEN THOUGH HE'S TIRED, DRINKS COFFEE MADE MY HER ONLY , GAVE UP A GOOD UNI COZ OF HER ETC ETC ETC .....
I love this Hospital room scene. Kotoko didn't fail as a wife or a nurse. She is clumsy. Yes but that's what makes Kotoko Kotoko :) Naoki is having some character development which i love. He loves her. Period. They both deserve each other.
