Well played!" Then discovering that I can jump just right to narrowly slip between the kunai and shuriken, and land outside of the caltrops area. All in ONE FRAME. That type of strategy doesn't translate into 60 fps.
It does, but ive only experienced it high level samurai shodown 5 special matches, in that game youre thinking a few moves ahead and its all gotta be frame perfect. But, sadly nobody plays it anymore
That feels like the freeze frame moments in the middle of JoJo fights when the characters stop time to think about their options. If this game replicates that, then it might be more fun than I thought. Thanks for sharing!

4:00 NO FUCKING WAY. I was under the impression everyone who played was just cracked off their asses at a stickfighting game, wtf even. Insane but cool bait-n-switch.
One thing this reminds me of is my favorite custom stage in smash, called One Way Out. It was a large stage, with a simple flat bottom of solid blocks and walls going all the way up to the top with spikes at the top to prevent players spawning there. The matches were nearly always based on stocks, and your goal is simple: there is one way out. Get them there. It lead to super long matches with truly insane damage numbers, and looked nearly identical to this game's map. It was one of the best maps for an all out brawl with no frills.
I like how as you said that there is a mechanic that always gives you something you can do while stuck in a combo... you were showing footage of people getting pretty much bodied around the map. I'm sure there is something to what you said, it was just a funny visual since I can't tell whats happening in it. I love turn based strategy games so this seems pretty interesting. Kind of like Phantom Brigade but pvp
WOOO HES ALIVE In all seriousness nice vid as always I like that the content has been more diverse lately. Maybe we can see a video on Fighterz when Roll back comes out ;)
Already knew this game existed, hell it was early enough there was no "full" release on Steam But hey, glad to know there's a new character and exposure is growing, well deserved. Also, when you mentioned both sides of a combo being more interactive _you know_ I thought about Killer Instinct. YOMI Hustle gets my highest praise "A video game-ass video game" And YOMI didn't use to mean anything AFAIK
6:37 Nothing asserts dominance over an opponent like staring them straight in the eyes and ripping off both of your arms simultaneously. The strongest of men would cower in fear.
Robot sounds fun, as a Revenant main in Black Magic 2, who has two grabs, a lot of armored moves, and an ability that makes your next move have armor-- it seems like my kind of character!
I don't think there's a better feeling in the world than seeing your oponent get knocked above you, popping KILL PROCESS and that sweet *frame advantage: +36* on the screen
5:14 I actually have talked to ivy and he has said one of his biggest inspirations was when he used to played brawl with his friends they played it frame by frame like you do in yomi hustle
I feel it's also important to talk about free cancels and parries. If you block an attack the very moment it connects, you take zero damage and gain either meter or advantage, can't remember which. It's a core part of shutting down enemy combos without taking damage. As for pressing the attack, you may have noticed the free cancel ability. In short, if you see that the attack you queued is about to fail, you can use a free cancel to stop the animation and pick a different action, usually parrying, dodging, or something that comes out quicker. Proper use of parries and free cancels can take you from getting your ass handed to you to being the one handing out asses.
Come back to this video every once in a while, mainly to remind myself of the absolute and complete ridiculousness that was pre-nerfs robot. Ah, the good old days
In reference to you watching a lot of TAS Smash, I myself have watched quite a bit of TAS Dragonball games, most notably the Budokai Tenkiachi ones. It makes the whole thing actually look like a real-time Dragonball fight all done in a single, uninterrupted shot.
Have a friend who likes Yu-Gi-Oh and I remember watching him stream over a discord VC, and a good chunk of their games started with the opposing player taking 2 and a half minutes to do *something* I couldnt understand before my friend just lost before he could take a turn I will never understand that card game
Best part of the game is when you find someone with an equal skill level as you, and they actually are just chill, and not a silent try hard. you can actually just have fun and vibe while you beat each other up.
The way it replays after the battle in real time also reminds me of SUPERHOT. It’s a really cool mechanic that makes pulling off skillful plays so worth it.

Simply a skill issue.
Bursts can be parried. :)
dude yomi hustle goes so hard
I like how as you said that there is a mechanic that always gives you something you can do while stuck in a combo... you were showing footage of people getting pretty much bodied around the map. I'm sure there is something to what you said, it was just a funny visual since I can't tell whats happening in it. I love turn based strategy games so this seems pretty interesting. Kind of like Phantom Brigade but pvp
I didn't expect to see this game I like from a creator I watch for warframe but I am happily surprised
My brain is too smooth for this game

"Do, you, wanna be: *Vergin may Cry* himself? " Perfect writing, earned a like 👍
WOOO HES ALIVE
In all seriousness nice vid as always I like that the content has been more diverse lately. Maybe we can see a video on Fighterz when Roll back comes out ;)
New Trib upload and it's on YOMI Hustle?!?!?
this is gonna be a banger
Triburos variety content BANGER
triburos i cant put into words how much i smiled when i saw you made a video about yomi.
Already knew this game existed, hell it was early enough there was no "full" release on Steam
But hey, glad to know there's a new character and exposure is growing, well deserved. Also, when you
mentioned both sides of a combo being more interactive _you know_ I thought about Killer Instinct.
YOMI Hustle gets my highest praise "A video game-ass video game" And YOMI didn't use to mean anything AFAIK
I've always had the idea of a game like this in my head so it's INSANE to find out it actually exists
6:37 Nothing asserts dominance over an opponent like staring them straight in the eyes and ripping off both of your arms simultaneously. The strongest of men would cower in fear.
did not expect you to cover yomi hustle, one of my favorite games of all time
Mutant is fun. Juke charges allow for janky movements. Envenom damage over time. Feels like cowja
1:38 **twitch... twitch... AAHHHG WHYYY**
Ayooo, Yomi is getting some attention now!!!
Toribash in 2d and more crazy
this game feels like the developer took "Fighting game is a turn based game" joke and crank it to max setting
LETS FUCKING GO HE FOUND THE GEM
Robot sounds fun, as a Revenant main in Black Magic 2, who has two grabs, a lot of armored moves, and an ability that makes your next move have armor-- it seems like my kind of character!
My favorite summary of this game is "Violence Chess"
0:25 that the *Funniest* opening bit to a video Ive seen ALL year 👏👏
6:40 can we just appreciate this little breakdance
Very cool seeing different content outta this channel
I don't think there's a better feeling in the world than seeing your oponent get knocked above you, popping KILL PROCESS and that sweet *frame advantage: +36* on the screen
Best video covering yomih so far
one of the longest ones as well
I bring a sort of 'please let me out' vibe to the corners that Nappa players really don't like.
Why would you want out
One Finger Death Punch does a great job of providing that cinematic god-of-kung-fu feeling in a different way.
"some of his most unique features Include:
A GUN!"
made me spit out my Birria Taco, caught me off guard with that delivery
Finally a game that's literally a TAS fight
I would absolutely never play, try or even download this game, but man it brought back memories of those stickmen animations
Once I get a windows pc I WILL get this
In reference to you watching a lot of TAS Smash, I myself have watched quite a bit of TAS Dragonball games, most notably the Budokai Tenkiachi ones. It makes the whole thing actually look like a real-time Dragonball fight all done in a single, uninterrupted shot.
Never thought I would see toribash again lmao
The Slop Man is imminent
one of the best value for money games out there. i love the game but my skill issue just allows me to play with frens
0:51 the one true best qte game that makes you FEEL powerful is Asura's Wrath
Someone needs to figure out to make a game like this into an action RPG one day
Says "Naruto's, Bleach's or Vegeta's" proceeds to show Luffy Todoroki, and an anime girl
No way I haven't heard of this 1 year ago. This is really well done
23:57 these words scare every yugioh player
Have a friend who likes Yu-Gi-Oh and I remember watching him stream over a discord VC, and a good chunk of their games started with the opposing player taking 2 and a half minutes to do *something* I couldnt understand before my friend just lost before he could take a turn
I will never understand that card game
I remember playing this game before it was available on steam. Fun times, maybe I'll give it a try again sometime later.
