Thanks. I'm doing this swap for a friend later today. You were right to the point and didn't use profanity or corny loud music like many find necessary in videos today. Enjoyed it, and thanks again.
Great video. I have a 04 Silverado and the door handle is real loose. I’m dreading to tackle that. I believe I can pull up one of your videos and do it, maybe lol. Thanks for sharing.
Great Videos! Any chance you ever got a full part number for the drovers side doir handle/armrest. I have been unable to find one on eBay. (Beige) Any help would be greatly apologies! Thx! Winslow
I did this exact procedure. I have a parasitic drain. I took it to shop, and they claim that this is causing the drain because I didn't "program" it and that is the causing the door light to stay on and causing the drain. Did you have to do any programming to the door switch? Because I call BS and I'm not paying that.
@@DustinTDo you have any idea what the white part is called? When I go to put my switch back in- where it clips in, the white bracket is broke off. I just don’t know what the part is called to find a new one. Any help appreciated thanks! I have an 07 GMC Sierra 2500 HD Classic
I’m having the same issue as you. I replaced this on my ‘07 classic and now the battery keeps dying and the alarm keeps going off. I suspect the ODB port is also shut off because of this issue..::
Just installed a new switch cluster, very easy after watching your video. Thank You! Tom, 1-1-25

Me too. It's a comfort to know other folks have the same ol' truck with the same problem as mine.
How are the amp steps on the high country holding up?
Still working flawlessly! I seriously haven’t had a single problem with them.
good to hear! @@DustinT

is this switch LED or the original color?

No programming needed as far as I know, mine worked flawless
@DustinT that's what I thought. Mine works too. But I unplugged the lights in the door. So I'll see if that's actually the phantom battery drain.

To clarify the I’m talking about as soon as you took the panel back and showed us the wiring harness, the white piece on the backside of the switches

Why are you taking the whole door panel off to replace a window switch I'm sorry a masters switch
I'm glad he did. I'm sure the new switch isn't the only problem with all the controls. I seem to be prone for excessive wiring issues.
At least I know now how to remove the panel correctly....
