I do like the deck kinda. But I think the m5 from unknown boards take on it is better cause the double drop

Dude went the extra mile to bottle neck himself lol. New battery upgrade new esc upgrade carbon fiber deck spacer for the tenka but still rocking the stock motors, and even cut and replaced hall sensors to fit to do so. Why not just upgrade some motors for like 260$
Upgrade the motors from there* so you don't gotta replace the sensors

The biggest one that fits to Evolve trucks are 6374 motors 🤙🏻

How did you work out which motor controller wires went in to the new pt connectors? When there’s 6 pins on the tenka and only 5 wires wash side from the evolve motors? Was it just leave the extra one or spare one empty? Cheers love the vid

What did you do about the Evolve remote no longer working since you switched ESCs? Did you just get yourself a VESC compatible remote? Seems like you forgot to mention that bit of info.

I've had a similar modification done to mine and can't find the technician anymore. The board's range has dropped to about half. I believe he also used the VESC tool to program the board as well. Is there an easy way to troubleshoot the battery to verify the cells are the problem?

hey have you done it on the gtr models? I can't get the esc out of the board. it has a plastic enclosure that even taking the screws out of the bottom enclosure still won't come out. any help ?

I will probably do this with my old GT. It has a brand new battery but for some reason doesn’t run well. I think this will do the trick. What remote are you using with this?
Great decision 🤙🏻 I’m using flipsky VX2 but better will be remote which is connected via PPM so probably I will change it for flipsky VX1 - unfortunately without display 😥

Question: I have bought a Tenka in preparation for a new battery and motors, Is it possible to put the Tenka in with a stock GTR BMS and battery/ motors? From what I've seen it looks ok but I've also heard that evolves BMS is pretty unique and hard to work with. Thanks!
Just check the stock battery voltage to make sure it's within the range for the tenka. I also don't know what the stock batteries continuous discharge rate is, and you'll wanna know that so that you don't have the vesc drawing more current than the battery can provide

Range about 35-40km for 90kg riders and power depend on new battery and motors :P

Only stock motors for GT, for GTR stock battery will be ok. From my point of view it’s worth - you can use FOC, you can modify power, you will have more range

Generalnie najlepszym rozwiązaniem byłaby zmiana sterownika, na którym mógłbyś sobie regulować "moc", natomiast oryginalna bateria Evolva będzie tutaj kluczowym problemem, bo nie wyciśniesz z niej więcej (bezpiecznie dla ogniw), niż masz teraz. Także wymiana baterii i esc na początek pozwoli CI zwiększyć moc oraz zasięg, jak będzie nadal mało to wtedy silniczki :P

Is there a 12s battery for the Carbon GTR available anywhere?
You can have them made by a local battery builder, I have a 12s3p 21700 battery in my carbon gtr that cost $600 to have made, not the same range and power the hadean battery provides but not far off for an overall cheaper upgrade than buying a whole new board.
@@ajplant96 did you have to upgrade any other components? That might increase power and range
@@seven.day.weeknd It’s a full system upgrade like the video is showing so you need to replace the esc, remote, motors, etc as well. Basically you get the same range but more power. Not as much as the hadean but enough to be satisfied with a gtr again for $800 or so less.

It is possible but with 10s4p battery 😁 you you want bigger battery like 12s6p you have to print some additional spacer 😉

Yes, 48 cells Vs 50 here. They're 21700 higher capacity so despite there being 2 cells more in this configuration it has a lower wattage. He seems to be going for range over speed but I think just for the purposes of the video it's what was available. You can fit 12S4P, not the 21700's as they'd be too big I think but 18650's would be sound.
Yeap, totally right ! I chose range over power but you can put also 12s4p Sony vtc5a or vtc6 18650 cells to have more power 🤙🏻

The idea is basically it’s just a nice upgrade to an older board without having to spend up to 3x the price for the new board. Evolve’s track record for long lasting parts isn’t great either so having options for things like different ESCs and motors is a good trade off in value if you’re happy without the 21700 cells (12s3p 21700 cells will fit in a CGTR deck easily with a small range extender battery in a top box if more range + power is desired though.)

that looks like a Carbon GT, not GTR. Is that a legit focbox, looks like of the clones isn't it?
The GT was garbage with pouch cells, mine died 2 days after buying it and Evolve wouldn't accept a refund.
No where near a hadean with 130KVA motors, replace it with something better, at least a 6368 with 170KVA
