    Great video. We now live in a small town next to Leipzig. I have a GT and have been looking into getting the GTR carbon. The old GT will go to our son. I wish my German sounded like your English!

    Since my city is Chicago I might as well be offroad all the time. I've tried having my street wheels on my GTR and I always end up bottoming out somewhere and adding scratches. The roads here look like they've been through a bombing raid.

      Haha kinda sounds familiar 😁. Riding AT makes the riding experience so much smoother. Did you switch back to AT? Safe riding Kevin!

    In 3 to 5 years skateboards will be easy ... Quiet, hub, power, distance, AT wheels, etc. It's a matter of which company delivers the Wanted products. I like to see companies like Mellow make it big.😀

      Mellow is one of a few companies developing eboards. they are certainly not the driving power in this industry.

    • @AttiBear
      @AttiBear  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      I partly agree with you on that. It's been a while since they released anything new aside new decks. But in my opinion they still have the best tech when it comes to hub motors. They also do a lot for the legalization in germany. Unfortunately they are too small to really do some heavy lobby lifting.

    I was getting that jolt on my gtx when stopping on hills when I first started. You have to slowly realease the trigger and lean back a bit should which should help 👍😎

      It's true it takes some time getting used to but after a while you get the hang of it 😁. Thanks for the advice Josh ✌️

    Just bought a boosted minix And I m thinking about return it and get a evolve grt instead (by the way which one should I choose bamboo or carbon)😅😅

    • @AttiBear
      @AttiBear  5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Haha well that's quite a step up 😁. In the end it always comes down to personal preference. Bamboo gives you more flex and a smoother ride. Carbon gives you more stability while riding and it's resistant to water, which can be helpful if you ride off road . Choose wisely 🤪

    • @sussoft
      @sussoft 5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@AttiBear the bamboo is also water-resistant!

    Atti, I'm moving to Stuttgart soon from the US. Reading what little info I can find about PEV laws in Germany, it doesn't sound good. What's the ground truth? Any issues with the polizei?

    • @AttiBear
      @AttiBear  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Around Stuttgart you'll certainly need the GTRs torque 😁. Been living there for a while myself. Regarding your question it's kinda like with all other things life... Don't get caught 🤷‍♂️

      @@AttiBear Bamboo vs. Carbon comes to mind, but honestly, I'd be happy with some extended riding footage, much like slydogstroh's Onewheel vids. They're very relaxing.

    Have you tried the GTR Bamboo before choosing the carbon?

    • @AttiBear
      @AttiBear  5 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      I'd love to take the Bamboo for a spin but unfortunately no. I went straight for the carbon cause I wanted something more weather resistant.

    • @AttiBear

      Never had any disconnect issues so far. If properly maintain it you won't experience any issues 😉

    • @contorta960
      @contorta960 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@AttiBear lol that's not very objective. 6 weeks into owning and loving the GTR Bamboo and brakes slam on / board disconnects. Evolve replaced the motor controller and fortunately I was just going forwards at the time so ran it off, like a cat. Evolve have quality control issues it seems, a real shame given the board is amazing when it works. Way too many people are getting seriously hurt because of this issue, they really should address it and not still be sending boards out with this. I got mine new 3 months ago.

    this board can go up the steepist streeet in the world.

    • @AttiBear

      Partially accurate. Baldwin Street (35%) in NWZ lost its title as steepest street in the world to Ffordd Pen Llech (37,45%) in Wales. But still conquering 35% incline is impressive 💪

    The Mellow-drive has only 100 wh. For 1000 € it's way to expensive. The Evolve is fine but after I know the Lacroix, even the old one, any Evolve seems like a toy for me. To bad I can't get one for a reasonable price to europe.

    • @AttiBear
      @AttiBear  5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      True the Mellow has “only” 100Wh but that’s also the limit for a battery you can take on a plane with you 😉. Although evolve now offers the option to switch batteries, you still need tools to switch them. The Mellow battery is plug and play.
      I can’t speak for the Lacroix since I didn’t have the pleasure yet 😉

    • @AttiBear
      @AttiBear  5 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      I didn’t want to compare them 1:1. I rather tried to point out the differences between the two vendors. Especially for a beginner it’s hard to decide which board is the right one for you and your needs. Unfortunately not everybody can try both before their purchase.
