I would definitely eat that whole potato skin and all. Great smoke Scotty. I’m definitely gonna give that a try. When I make a video I’ll give you a shout out👍
when you use a meat probe you really want to insert the probe all the way in the meat to keep the heat from traveling thru the metal and throwing off your reading
@@ScottysBackYardBBQ I think the difference in our opinions on this matter is that my opinion is coming from a theoretical understanding of how metal conducts heat and your’s is coming from years of experience of how these probes actually work in reality. So I’ll concede to your expertise because you probably know a lot more about the actual effect the heat has on these probes than I do. BTW I actually made these potatoes for the first time last night and they were delicious!
That was interesting Scotty, gonna have to try them one day. Thanks!
Very good. Very different
Great method on those potatoes, Scotty👍😊

Nicely done. I'm going tobtry it on my pellet smoker🍺🍻🍺
The smell was amazing. The skin tasted awesome.
I use olive oil on mine but usually wrap them in foil...I will try this!
I used to use thar lol
Cool video. Gonna try this today. I might try injecting a weaker salt solution into them. Maybe throw some Danos in with salt.
sounds interesting
@@ScottysBackYardBBQ lol. It didn’t work. Potatoes were too dense to be injected into with a traditional meat injector.
Nice job scotty! Ive got something similar on my list.
Nice
Thanks. I appreciate it
Nice smoked potatoes, Scotty! You gotta have sides!😋👍

@mikewiththebluecar no. The point is where the reading comes from.
