    Very enjoyable - we are travelling to Ireland and NI in September, Glendalough is on the itinerary.

    Do you know, Ireland has the highest rate of CF in Europe and Cork has the highest rate in Ireland. Great admiration for you guys.

      I think next time we will need to connect with some local CF clinics to chat about the history of CF in Ireland. A new theory proposed was that being a CF carrier during the potato famine actually gave you an advantage against gastric issues, and that may be why it's been so prominently connected to those with Irish lineage.

    That forest is a plantation its not really natural as such,though they are a good few natural broadleaf forests in wicklow

      We found out later that it was Djouce Wood, we stumbled into it from the side. One of the sheepherders we met with later told us they might be a non-indigenous tree that grows faster. Like you said, more meant for fast logging. That sound correct to you? And which forests would you recommend visiting? We are planning to go again this year and would love to see a natural broadleaf forest?
