Thanks for watching. If you would like extra information on Glendalough, I wrote a blog post on it: www.thewonderingenglishman.com/post/loved-by-saints-and-pilgrims-glendalough-is-now-frequented-by-tourists
I went to Glendalough about 30 years ago and was fascinated with the place and its history. I would recommend it to anyone visiting Ireland in the Dublin area.
Absolutely loved it Alex! Very relaxing to watch and insightful. Really enjoying your Ireland series with wonderful scenery, history and architecture. Keep up the great work. Hibb
Thank you Alex. I’m preparing for a trip to Ireland, and I really appreciate how much history you offer in the video! I also like the maps you insert here and there, they give me helpful geographic perspectives. Much of shaky footage makes me dizzy though, but the drone shots are very beautiful.
Been to Ireland twice now, and my first stop each time was at Glendalough. You really should not miss it if you're visiting Ireland. It's incredibly beautiful and serene.
I’m forever based in London. I try to escape as much as possible hence my videos rarely being from London :) I’ll try to do a video of the upcoming coronation if you would like it- although I think I’ll be in Denmark when Charles becomes King.
“Sadly education will cost you money” Come on man, it’s €4 for a really good exhibition and a 15 minute audio visual presentation, this is the revenue that supports the maintenance of sites like these for future generations over the centuries, least you could do is support while you’re here

A lovely place to visit - I now try to go back every time I pass it either leaving Dublin or coming back to Dublin from the South :)
Lovely soothing walkabout. Are you back in London now ? Lots going on with politics and the upcoming coronation.

I’ve been in the visitors centre multiple times and paid. And i do recommend it. I simply stated it costs money.
