Very helpful, although I worry if you do this too much or too hard it would bend or otherwise damage the trucks o.o If you plan to replace them consistently get a tool, but if you just got new wheels and want to pop them in right this moment then this trick is for you 😁
@@LachlanBreheny True, I just switched mine out today and used this technique for most of them 👌 I actually figured another way where I stuck a metal tool I have that gets wider at the end thru the bearing and was able to pull it out that way. I guess you're right though, trucks are pretty tough I doubt you could really damage one that way 😅
If you've been skating the wheels awhile and you're having additional trouble then also use liquid wrench or WD-40, you're gonna need to spruce up them bearings anyway
Just curious- At 0:38 and 2:19 the wheel stops immediately when he turns them. Do some people tighten them that much for a reason? I always thought wheels should free spin for a long time.
they are built in bearings so they have a washer and spacer built in. which means you can tighten them as tight at you want. They still roll when you are on the board. The bearing that i had in were quite old aswell

I just took the bolt out and sprayed it with wd40 and it works like brand new
you def got it sorted, but you just have to wiggle it a lot sometimes. Mine are always super hard to remove too

i change bearings and wheels consistently and never broken a truck or anything

If you ride wheels I’m the wet and havnt dried them correctly. Then yes they will rust

This is the only way I knew to do it. This is how we did it before the special tools came out.

Didn’t you install the bearings backwards? I think the colorful side should face outwards, so as to better keep out dirt and grime.
