I tried all the solutions except windows reset (last solution) it is definitely better but t,y and both shift buttons are not working. I will never ever purchase an HP product again

Maybe go to the On-Screen Keyboard then press Alt Crtl and delete it helped me!

Thanks tried all of your suggestions. About to recover system to a previous version when I noticed a slight corrosion on the keyboard battery terminals stopping the signal getting to the dongle. After scraping the corrosion off it works fine now. Thanks very much learned a lot from your video. Cheers

thank you! this helped, but does resetting your pc fix it? only most of my bottom row keys don’t work and it’s really annoying, it’s not damaged or anything it just stopped working while i was doing a edit ... its resetting now , if it works ill update 😁 wish me luck!!!

Really appreciate this video. The solution by changing the "filter" selection worked for me. I had exhausted all of the HP fixes on my HP 17 Envy Laptop s-000 with backlight keyboard. Even a connection of a wired keyboard would not solve my problem. This video is excellent.

I was having a breakdown coz my cat jumped on my keyboard and it suddenly stopped working I just bought it last month and i was currently working I tried everything I saw on TH-cam I already uninstalled and updated but nothing until I saw your video to try disabling the filter keys. Thank youuuuuuuuuu
This video looks great. Unfortunately for me even the on screen keyboard wouldn't work. I'm not sure what to do from here as I can't get into the computer. I tried a couple of other suggestions (tapping escape when powering up and selecting f10 and f5 and another was to hold the power button down for one minute) but neither were successful.
Does anyone have any other suggestions? They would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

In my case the touch pad wasnt working either. I tried to update the keyboard drivers and it said the best drivers were already installed so i tried updating the touch pad drivers. It searched and found a new driver but it said windows had a problem and couldnt install the driver. However, the keyboard and touchpad started working agian.
What method did you use 'cause we have the same problem

If you are using Windows 10 try to run windows update, sometimes it will install the latest drivers👍

2:52 it said "Installing this driver isn't recommended because Windows can't recognize if your device is compatible with you hardware" Pls confirm if I can do it or not. It also says "If it isn't compatible your device may become unstable or stop working completely" please help me😭😭😭 its very important

Here's what worked for me:
1) select "I forgot pin"
2) follow instructions, but select "cancel" when asked if you want to change pin
3) go to settings, choose "accounts" then select "sign-in options"
4) choose "windows hello pin" then select "change"
5) check the box that says "include letters & symbols" then create new password
6) after creating new password, turn laptop off or lock it
7) power on the laptop & type in new password that you just created
This only took 5 - 6 minutes

Help need suggestion the HP Envy is only two years old and today I have these three failures happen - laptop keyboard not work mouse touchpad not working, the flip screen to tablet mode and the touch screen all not working simultaneously out of the blue. My HP laptop keyboard stopped working fews keys, so i replaced new key board. After few days again few keys stopped working. Again brought new keyboard just within two days complete keyboard failed. Non of the keys working. Is software issue or hardware?

My keyboard was working and then next minute wasnt. Obv, batteries are first thing I replaces. Still nothing. The mouse has an on/off button, does the keyboard?! Or a simple reset? When I put in new batteries, the 'Caps Lock' light, lights up to show power, after that, NOTHING, even when repressing the capslock on and off, nothing no light

Nothing worked for me :( When i got to the last solution, there was a long list of apps that will be deleted. I'm afraid that I will no longer have Adobe, Microsoft Office and such after I reset my laptop. Should I still go for the reset process? Please help :(

I constantly tried to update and uninstall my keyboard driver and even trying to clean my keyboard and my HP laptop's keyboard just doesn't work, it's been like that for a few days now and I'm going insane.
Here are the issues I'm having right now:
>E, C and D barely work, they don't immediately respond well and when I type any of these keys, they get typed twice
>Shift + the aforementioned keys as well as 3 don't respond
>Ctrl + C doesn't work
I tried fixing it over and over, is there something I can do about it? Also, I don't even want to try system restore, I'm scared.
UPDATE: For some reason now left shift + C doesn't even work. E, C, D, shift + 3 do work fine now but right shift + E still doesn't work. I swore this was already a hardware issue but now it's becoming a software issue again. Nevermind, they're bugged again.
