guys, its a sequel of a game that came out in 2015. understand the difference between a sequel and a remaster.. of course its not going to have a mind blowing difference in graphics aside from upping the resolution, what would be the point. The point of a sequel is to continue what was left off on the previous title and add new content to the game, not increase the graphical capabilities..
Well, a sequel should also improve graphics my friend - not only graphics of course. If only remasters would improve graphics FF XV would still look like FF I. But serious, who plays Splatoon because of the visual presentation, it just makes fun

I won't lie, the minor differences in Splatoon 2 actually make the game look a lot better imo. I don't play games for graphics but they do make the experience more enjoyable for me

There were no connection drops, and no lag. I suffered BOTH on Splatoon for the WiiU, and the glossier paint looks more pleasing to my eyes. The resolution is higher, gameplay is the same, but the new weapons and attacks are unique, and I think they are very welcome additions worthy of a title sequel.

That's not what i'm talking about buddy. I know it runs at 60fps. Tickrate is the server's refresh rate, ie: if the server has a tickrate of 12.5, the server refreshes 12.5 times per second. In something like Splatoon it shouldn't be a big deal, it definitely wasn't in the testfire.

MK8 deluxe is just Mario kart 8. No new stages, no new karts, just a couple new characters and a battle mode. Splatoon 2 adds new weapons, new specials, and new sub weapons, a glossier coat of ink, better frame rate, more connection stability, and a new campaign. So it's not really correct to compare Splatoon 2 to Mario kart 8 deluxe. :P

I love how in splat2n (i stand by this name) the ink is so much more textured. like in 1:10-1:17 and if you pause at 1:14 there are some good examples of this texturing.

On top of the graphical improvements, it's an entirely new game. It has a single player experience and multiplayer. Any COD, Halo, etc game out there justified a $60 price tag for those 3 things after each iteration.
The Inktanks look more professional with the metallic and slim look while the guns look more like toys compared to the original. And I can see more sporty looking clothing in 2 compared to 1 even that 1 has a lot of variety in gear.

The first Splatoon game came out in 2015, obviously with around 2 years of development for a AAA game, they used the same engine and a good bunch of assets, I don't see why it would be otherwise. There is basically no difference at all. Splatoon 2 has slightly better lighting while the original Splatoon has better color. That is the only difference I see that you would be able to notice in actual gameplay.

You do realize that unless 4k is on a large screen TV and you are literally right in front of it there is no visual difference as even the healthiest human eyes can not visually detect a difference. Why do you think most movie projectors, which take up an entire wall, display in 2k. That is where the noticeable difference drops off and in a normal living room setting with a large screen tv or with a small handheld device that you hold close to your face 720p is the highest you can notice without it becoming unnecessary. Unless it is for high end gaming PC's with a large display monitor that is literally right up against your face, 4k is a total joke.
As a splatoon for wii u player, i got my switch on may, and except some few details i didn't feel like splatoon and splatoon 2 were that different in terms of graphics, but now that I've played enough splatoon 2 and looking back at splatoon 1s graphics, i can tell the difference is huge, splatoon 2 looks more lively

The major ink difference is that in 1, the ink only reflected light sources. In 2, the ink will almost completely reflect whatever surrounds it.

Quizás los que no jugaron el de wiiu no notaran la diferencia pero yo que si tengo y he jugado el Splatoon 1 les puedo decir que si hay diferencia en gráficos y resolución y esto se puede notar en el modo portatil (lo digo porque al estar en el dock en mi opinión se ve peor pero eso eso se entiende ya que era una beta y no esta optimizada al 100%) esos 60 fps se notan demasiado y la calidad de detalles me fascino, un gran logro el mejorar así un juego como lo es splatoon y eso que no hemos visto ni un 10% de lo que sera este nuevo titulo, que emoción!

The gameplay, weapons are completly different, all new maps and there is an all new story campaign as well....but yeah without enhanced graphics it can't be a new game. I don't understand why Warner Bros. has developed more than one Batman Arkham game and is now going in for Shadow of War...looks so similar compared to Shadow of Mordor. But graphics doesn't matter if you want to make a new game.

There is basically no difference at all. Splatoon 2 has slightly better lighting while the original Splatoon has better color. That is the only difference I see that you would be able to notice in actual gameplay.
Well and the original Splatoon was 1080p and Splatoon 2 seemed like it was running at 720p for the global testfire but I am not going to give them crap for that. First, Splatoon 2 is not a finished game and 2nd, you really don't need anything higher then 720p.

You do realize that unless 4k is on a large screen TV and you are literally right in front of it there is no visual difference as even the healthiest human eyes can not visually detect a difference. Why do you think most movie projectors, which take up an entire wall, display in 2k.
That is where the noticeable difference drops off and in a normal living room setting with a large screen tv or with a small handheld device that you hold close to your face 720p is the highest you can notice without it becoming unnecessary.
Unless it is for high end gaming PC's with a large display monitor that is literally right up against your face, 4k is a total joke.
Your other three team mates are out there fighting while you just stand there and pan your camera around.

As a splatoon for wii u player, i got my switch on may, and except some few details i didn't feel like splatoon and splatoon 2 were that different in terms of graphics, but now that I've played enough splatoon 2 and looking back at splatoon 1s graphics, i can tell the difference is huge, splatoon 2 looks more lively

Cambia mas de lo q pensaba el 1 se ve muy plano, los shaders e iluminación del 2 son muy superiores fíjense en el relieve de las texturas y reflejos de la tinta, se daran cuenta q el splatoon 1 se ve muy plano

The only difference is the ink textured things (hair,ink,squid, etc) and the sky looks more lively with the new lighting. And that's good because the ink and lighting is literally the only thing in the game that you see 😂
