- There are a few decent options for lowering springs for the Infiniti Q50. Here are those that I think are the best for this car and I'll share which I actually don't think are that good.

Even tho you don’t have the q60 anymore I like how your still doing videos about it to help us out …..cool
There is still a lot of information and insight to share. Still enjoy the platform and the community even without in in the driveway. But I’ll have another one soon
I really need to look into anyone running the tein springs on an awd because i love the way it looks with a good wheel setup but need to ensure they fit lmao
The wheels that your Q50 has at minute 7:10, what measurements are they? or mark, they look beautiful brother
Sup bro, I know this isnt the topic of the video but I have a question for you, im looking for a good upgraded y pipe for my q50 3.7 awd but I cant seem to find any 1320 performance ones in stock anywhere, do you know if megan racing y pipes are just as good? If not are there any other brands you could recommend?
Hi SCS, what is the drop on your coilovers currently? 2in on the mark or a little lower than 2, like 2.1in? Im trying to compare how low ur car is compared to mine. Ive been on superdowns for 1 1/2 yrs and i havent seen any liquid or bounciness from them. They’ve been great but I’m contemplating whether or not i should get coils to go lower, ive seen on your past video that 2.5in lower than stock is impractical but im wondering how close are you to 2.5in currently.
With Coilovers it was right at about 2” drop. I went lower in a video testing how low I could go but rubbed. It really all depends on wheels and tires and the fitment and feel and performance you want. Really can’t judged based on other people’s setups. Coilovers are nice in that regard because you can play with them and adjust how you’d like
I'm curious what you have against Megan racing? They have been around for over 20 years. Personally one of my favorite coilovers. Have had them on various platforms all the way back to my DSM days.
I know right….. I have the Megan strut bar and it awesome
The strut bar has no impact on performance. It’s not going to brake and cause a problem.
Megan racing is just not known for its quality. Some of their stuff is fine and some is not good. I’m glad you’ve had a good experience with them!
Quick random question do you think fuel cleaner will be safe to use on the 3.0 turbos ? And if so is there one you recommend for a 56k Q?
I did a few months back and I’ve been just fine
I've personally had experience with both Eibach and H&R on both of my Infiniti FX35's (2003 and 2007).
Had issues with Eibachs snapping twice and ended up going with the H&R's. Had good experiences with Eibachs in the past with my Honda Civic and Accord though.
I currently have RSR Downs on my Q60 RS400 and not experiencing any sag in the rear... everything is level. Maybe this is different from the Q50. My Q50 RS400 isn't lowered, so I don't have any say about it.
Crazy that your eibachs snapped! Although when I had them it was 15 years ago
Mine were about 20 years ago and was one of the first to lower the FX and add 15mm / 20mm spacers @@SpeedCultureStudios
brother i need help. i’ve finished my chrome delete myself and kept it under $1k, added a spoiler and splitter) and my red taillights are so obnoxious (black 2016 premium) what kind do you have? or is it tint? seems no cheap option and my black license plates are coming next week. couldn’t find a video about just your sick taillights thanks!
Tails are sprayed with VHT nightshades. 3 coats wet sanded with 6 coats of clear wet sanded and polished then sealed
How about coil-over options for Q’s with DDS suspension?
Bc, rsr
Would you recommend purchasing any of the springs you mentioned from Amazon? Seem to have the best price and fastest shipping?
As long as it’s a reputable seller
I just got my 14, AWD Q50. Runs strong and good. Let’s see how long it’ll last before I run into problems
Great car!
Hey scs!! Were your tein lowering springs RWD? I don’t see an option for AWD so I’m wondering if they are compatible for the AWD. Thanks!!
I’ve had Rsr super downs springs for about 3 years now on my 2014 150k miles and they getting bouncey so in wondering what you think if I should get some new tein springs or just get coilovers because will my stock shock still be good with the tein or do you think I should just replace the whole suspension and get coilovers? Appreciate your knowledge bro I always in your comments bugging you 😂
I would look at Coilovers now if I were you because the reason for your bounciness is the shocks being worn out. And shocks are more expensive than Coilovers
@@SpeedCultureStudios I have springs and my Q is bouncy. Are springs suppose to be bouncy or does that mean my shocks are out?
@@SpeedCultureStudioswhat coilovers do you recommend .. i Believe you had the bc Coilovers ima go rewatch that vid to see that you said
@@lilbot3807it means ur shocks are worn out
Just ordered H&R springs yesterday for my g37 sedan. I’m just over 100,000 miles hoping I don’t blow the shocks.
You’ll be fine 🤞
Shock no but your axle is another story as in the friend's G37
@@TheIronChainMaster really shouldn’t have to worry about axels either. Sometime the awd can have front axel issues when too low
I forgot you were using the Tein S Tech springs. I ran the RSR Super Down's on my AWD Q50 for 3 yrs with no problems until I went to D2 coilovers. Once I went to the coilovers I noticed my boots were stretched on my axles 🤦🏾♂️. I wouldn't recommend the Super Downs on AWD VQ Q50's for no longer a year.
I’m on rsr downs awd q50 and I’m going through tires bad
@TheDfenner84 VQ or VR30?? I had the inner tires wear quickly in the fronts only. My rears were fine. Of course I only ran squared setups.
@@TheDfenner84you shouldn’t have camber issues with downs. Or do you mean super downs
@@SnoopyRu1980 vq and my issue in the front as well and I’m running a squared setup
@@huhSHUA downs
Would lowering springs mess with the DDS on a 2018 Q50 RS?
No
How’s the reliability on the rsq50? Thinking of getting one
If you take care of them they are great
I have the RSR Downs and I never have had a problem with them, and mine doesn’t sag
Mines do on the passenger side how long have to you had yours installed?
Great!

Lowering springs or coilovers for a daily driver ?
Really depends on what you’re going for. If you’re just wanting to lower it for looks and get some increased handling, springs area good option. If you want adjustability too, go for coils. Check out my coils vs springs video for more input
@@SpeedCultureStudios much appreciated as always. Huge fan of the channel. Can't wait to see where you take it
Go coilovers bro, in the long run it’ll be cheaper, I had Rsr superdowns and blew out my shocks, which then ended in my whole front suspension having to be replaced 💀 I did BC coilovers and it was definitely the best purchase i have made
@@MannyQ50 appreciate you, yeah I still have stock and I'm high mileage as it is, so running lowering springs is definitely a no no. Thanks for the advice
Is 0.6 front and 1.0 inch drop on bc coilovers worth it?
I prefer a bit more of a drop. But if you’re in cool overs you should be able to adjust down more than that
@@SpeedCultureStudios thank you bro love ur input for the q community in Miami we have a insane community over here
@@Blasian_guy next time I’m in Miami I’ll let everyone know. Maybe we can get some people together
@@SpeedCultureStudios definitely what’s ur Instagram
how does the q50 sit on s techs with the f14's?
Never had them with the f14s but they would look similar to some of the early videos right after putting the f14s on the car
I have rsr superdowns and honestly I think it’s a perfect height, but you just gotta know your roads 😭
Lol that’s true!
are you awd or rwd? if you’re awd do you have any vibration issues
@@ryder4481 super downs are pretty low for awd. Definitely risking axel issues
I like the S tech but I’m not sure if I’ll have the same problems as the super down with rubbing and the front splitter scrapping. How’s the camber on s tech? Currently choosing between downs and S tech but I don’t want sag
Natural camber when lowering is relative to ride height so it’ll be more “aggressive” with super downs than the s tech. I didn’t really scrape anything with the s tech
@@SpeedCultureStudiosyeah I would like to avoid camber much as I can. And keep close to factory. Can’t be buying tires every couple months lol. I wish I had a bigger tire aspect so I can get more of a flush look
@@huhSHUA you need a lot of negative camber to eat through tires every couple months lol. I out 12,000 miles on my Tein springs and the tires looked brand new. It’s the toe that killed tires
@@SpeedCultureStudios oh I see. No I mean teins should last a while. i was referring to new tires bc the super downs lol. I had to get new tires in the front after 6 months & the rear aren’t far behind. Main reason why I need higher springs. That & I don’t think it’s functional for daily driving in the city. Plus the flooding in Miami is crazy. Just always looking for bumps is t comfortable lol
30K miles on my rsr super downs and no sag my fitment is on point lol this is the 1st ive heard about sag
I showed one car on the video with the rear sitting lower than the front. Just check out all the Qs with downs. So many have a rear sitting lower than the front. Glad you haven’t experienced that!
Well Damn i guess it's time to go low..
Didn't you sell the car
Yes
So the downs sag...
I’ve seen so many pictures with sagging rear on cars with downs.
