I like XFCE but nowdays it is becoming a tad bigger than it used to, especially on openbsd. I would love to show us a lighter desktop like lumina or enlightenment or even katana desktop. Could you ?
Excellent video. Thanks. Really get a lot from your content. I've been trying to figure out how to install WinFF or QWinFF on OpenBSD from source code. Do you think you could do a video on how to install it or build a port? And maybe a series on porting software to OpenBSD. I find the documentation on porting software a bit confusing. Thank you.
Wow I didn't know anyone uses Pascal programming language anymore. I add it in my bucket to-do list but I can't promise anything. For porting guide, I recommend watching this video: th-cam.com/video/6Y3S4CCkbL8/w-d-xo.html Should give you a good start
@@TheOpenBSDguy Thanks for the reply. Yes, WinFF looks like it has been around a while. I have watched that video, and I am using it to try and create a port of QWinFF. Unfortunately, I don't have the experience to solve all of the errors I get when trying to build it. Porting your favourite software seems like a really cool idea and could make OpenBSD a viable alternative to Linux, if I can figure it out. I hope you decide to do a series on porting software and, just as important, how to solve the inevitable errors that occur when trying to build a new port. Cheers
I do this on all my laptops. It's a fantastic, full featured desktop. Mate works well too.
Such useful and quality content, as always. Thanks!
using xfce4 on openbsd 7.5-current its very nice, plasma was pretty slow but i think they're still working on it
