    Thank you for the info in this video on PBT Double Shot. I'm not looking into getting a corsair keyboard and don't own one, but I'm doing some research right now for a suitable replacement keyboard to my Cooler Master ck550 (which has ABS keycaps that are starting to wear around WASD) - particularly on material types - and the information that you provided was helpful. PBT Double Shot sounds exactly what I want: Two plastics molded together rather than a translucent one that is painted black.

  • @dancuartas
    @dancuartas 6 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

    it is not actually two pieces assembled together, but a special manufacturing process, where first you inject one type of plastic, and then the other plastic is injected around it.

  • @diegobrava
    @diegobrava 5 ปีที่แล้ว +3

    I liked the PBT for typing. For games, I still get the originals, which are less rugged for repetitive touch (WASD). By combining the two types of keycaps, I believe it's the best of all worlds.

    Charging customers $170 for a mediocre keyboard with cheap ABS plastic caps is one thing.
    Asking another $50 to upgrade to PBT is rubbing salt into wounds. Not even Ducky keycaps are this expensive. At the end of the day, they are just moulded plastic

      This is why I stick to HyperX they have the same product for considerably less and in my opinion better quality in areas that matter more. You can get a full set of pudding double shots from HyperX for $20.

    You buy a premium high quality keyboard for nearly 200$. But to get it to use you have to pay another 60 Dollar for Keycaps which should actually be installed on the keyboard when you buy it, because the keycaps installed are cheap ugly scrap with a way to thin pin holder which crack after 1-2 years of use. But nobody tells you, when you are researching for a mechanical keyboard.

    I bought PBT DOUBLE-SHOT PRO Keycap Mod Kit - Onyx Black (NA) and is really cheap, wrong plastic, too hard plastic, the 2 kits i received with R MA, is all broken in white cross under caps after fews minutes and next days after used keycaps or not 60% thru 90% of all caps broken in same place around the cross horizontally near Cherry MX pin cross. The change design, less white plastic and more hard plastic, not flexible plastic like my original Keyboard i still haved my keycap after 12 years, LOL, and now just good for 1 or fews days! Cheap hard plastic now! and payed 60$ plus TX and shipping!
