I had CH1 Type R,then stock E46 330d and now 330i sport and although the CH1 was very precise,it's still mountains and lakes behind the surgical point and attack feeling of the E46 steering. And mine is not even the purple label. . Another thing...you roll automatic E46 Vs manual Honda...that's laughable! Not going through the full power band of that BMW...facing it against the rev happy Honda...even stock 3.0d will wipe the asphalt away with that Accord,since it has double the torque.

Good review! I had an E46 M3 manual back in 2008 and it was a fun car! The lower tierE46 models are still great cars and in the right hands pretty quick point to point. I also enjoyed quite a few variations of E36 model BMW's and they were a lot of fun also. Must admit though I have a hankering for a Euro R Honda after seeing so many of your videos!

Would ever do a JDM Type S vs BB4 Honda prelude video ? Because that is what this Accord is on a par with - 1994 H22

having owned multiple e46s and accord euros, I'm willing to bet the 330ci in the video needs some bushing and ball joints changed upfront. The steering feel is one of the most renowned qualities of the e46 BMW and in my opinions it's not even comparable to the accord.

@@KiwiCarLife Still the automatic has way worse trans power loss. The Auto and the manual are about 0.5 secs apart 0-100, which should take it from a bit slower to a bit faster. I have been waiting for this exact episode for a long time. Love that you are comparing cars that are still relevant in my country.
well im so confident there is 94 nm difference in torque, plus if u know how to search you will find a manual e46 330ci acceleration from 0-100 in 6.5 seconds (auto is slower) while your honda needs 7.3 seconds from 0-100 so with this acceleration of your honda you compare it to a manual e46 325ci which accelerates from 0-100 in 7.2 seconds @@KiwiCarLife
@@northernmaten7676 don’t need to search because I already know. I timed my euro r from 0-100 in 6.6s (confirmed with racelogic gps timer). Toby’s 330ci we timed with the same box in 6.8s. Torque is less important with roll race and the euro r picks up 30Nm in the midrange with a tune. While I imagine it would be very close, I would not have 100% faith that a manual 330ci would beat a reflashed euro r in any race. Driver skill would have more of an effect than the cars themselves. Besides, the fact the Honda can even put up a fight with an engine 2/3 the size is a feat in itself!
@@KiwiCarLife actually a stock 330 and a stock honda a 330 is faster,now talking with tuning a 330 have a very restrictive exhaust manifold so putting headers on it gains at least 15 20 hp, add on it a tune and a 3.46 diffrential and we will see u on the other side🤣, now if you wanna talk about engine size you are comparing different ranges and if you want to see you 4 cylinder competition you should try a p54b20 *2.0 4 cyl engine *with 285 hp same generation as m54b30. Lets not forget that a 330i is not top of the line of it generation with the presence of 330 zhp and e46 M3, while your car was the top line of it model.

328i E90 is detuned, you would never beat an E90 330i with a stock K24, maybe with a modded one like my old silver car. They're 200kW
