This is a lovely looper pedal. It is easy to use, reasonably priced and allows you to improve your timing and listen to yourself back in the cold light of day. The only downside is that it cannot handle any gain and the sound cuts out when you try to overlay distortion. That being said it is a useful tool for clean sounding play.
I'm looking for a looper just for use away from my board for practicing... I had this in a tab on Amazon and jumped to bigger money loopers (and 2 button loopers), your Ditto+ video brought me back to this one. Still shopping, but you put this back on top. If I purchase it, I'll use your link.
no doubt it is the better device... I'm a bassist just looking to pop down phrases/progressions to practice harmony and rhythm over. I'm liking the feature to load drum loops and tuner too. Currently my time practicing bass is through a Neve 1073 clone into my DAW and a set of Sony MDR-7506... no rig, no pedal board. If I decide on stepping into looping as an art form, I've been in the same social circles as Steve Lawson for 20+ years and will be looking to the Looperlative LP2 genD @@aaronshortmusic
Thanks for the interesting review! I was debating between this and ditto+. I wanted a looper with loop tracking indication, they both give this, but Lekato is much cheaper. And has a tuner. And the loop indication is cooler. So I bought Lekato, it's on the way :-)
Hey brother, cool demo. Just got my Lekato Pro Looper today for bass practice & I'm starting to really love it. Although I'm just perplexed when you mentioned at 04:18 that you can see where you are in the loop? Kinda lost me on that one. Very nice vid though, thanks kindly 👍
HELP! I just got this looper, I'm trying to use it with my DAW. When i plug the looper into my interface i dont get any signal or any sound. Any suggestions if it is possible to use this looper with my daw?
The last time I bought a mini looper it had a reverse and half speed switch but there was a big delay between each loop so it was useless. This one is $46 on ebay, guess I'll buy it. I need the usb out because my ehx nano is a hassle to connect to my interface to save it to my PC
Thanx so much, I have had a hard time with this thing, maybe it's because reading manuals my mind shuts off! I guess it's a guy thing for me. But nice job teaching and I like your playing! Subed your channel for other things too.
Is it possible I go to a Utube and add part of a song and save it as as a loop. Example Say the start of the song "Wagon Wheel" first 4 bars of the intro only. Then I would sing and play the song. How did you add the clapping to the looper?. Perhaps do a video of this process ??
Hi Joe. I found a recording of the applause and just dropped the file in while the pedal was connected to my computer via USB. As for Wagon wheel I recommend the website ‘Karaoke Version’. You can buy backing tracks there and then download the files and import them into the pedal.
Please help? I recorded a rhythm track then overdubbed a lead track. When I try to delete the lead track only, both are deleted. How do I delete only the lead track?
Thanks Aaron, just bought one of these on the strength of your review. Can you suggest where I can buy loops- you appeared to suggest there was a link but I can't find it.
I have this looper and a distortion pedal (metal zone)and a rowin noise gate running through a boss katana 50 mk2. What order should I have them in? Any help would be appreciated.
Hi Aaron short music, I shall be grateful if you could suggest me a party speaker which is BT enabled, microphone included with good bass. I am from India and a regular viewer of your channel. Thanks n regards
When I try to open the app Cubesuite on a Mac, the app says it cannot open because the firmware of the Lekato Looper is too old. How can I update the firmware? Thanx
@@thomasmccoy5250 Thanks. My thoughts too. Btw, I got an even cheaper Kokko-branded one for $40 and it's a great pedal I think. I've also seen it branded as an Iset. My only complaint is there is no real "off" switch that I can find. You have to either manually disconnect the plug or turn off say a power strip that feeds the power to it.
you can tell, after all the loops and you want to delete the recorded loops you just press the button and the negativity it play the little part of your loop in your speaker, before it delete , it is not good for live performance,.
Man, I came here after watching your Ditto+ video and you've convinced me to get the Lekato instead. What an awesome looper for the price!
Thanks! I do use the TC more but the Lekato is excellent value!
I was just looking at this exact pedal a couple of days ago. Great review and demo! Thank you
Thanks Rafael, this is probably the most fun that I had making a review so far!
Just got one, loving it. Oddly enough your video is better than the many I watched before buying it 😆
Why is that odd? ;-)
Maybe ironic would have been a better word...😀@@aaronshortmusic
@@thecreativeguitarlounge LOL I know what you meant thank you!

I didn’t notice that with the high gain. I do prefer the Ditto+ these days however.

I would go for the Ditto+ but I prefer a two button looper for performance. It depends on how you are going to use it.

@@JamesHartBassist I think it will work well for you.
You can also power this using the USB cable and an external power brick or standard 5V USB power supply.
Thanks for the interesting review!

Congrats!
Great review! Thx for that.
You only need a 9V DC with 100mA, not 500mA 😉
Thank you!
I love this little thing!
Me too!
Awesome review!
Thanks!
Good review. Still, adding the installation function to the looper SD card would be generally cool.
Great review. And this i will buy!
Thanks!

Because the graphic is moving and represents the loop.

Hi. Are you plugging the output of the looper into the input of the interface?
The last time I bought a mini looper it had a reverse and half speed switch but there was a big delay between each loop so it was useless. This one is $46 on ebay, guess I'll buy it. I need the usb out because my ehx nano is a hassle to connect to my interface to save it to my PC
Thanks - useful comprehensive video.
Thank you Jack!
so what does the U mean when you connect to a pc?
I think the U means USB and it allows you to import and export the loops.
Thanx so much, I have had a hard time with this thing, maybe it's because reading manuals my mind shuts off! I guess it's a guy thing for me. But nice job teaching and I like your playing! Subed your channel for other things too.

how you can record microphone guitar and other instruments with that looper I'm able to use with mini keyboard or guitar separate only
You would need a looper with multiple inputs.

Hi. I use Karaoke Version and make loops from the files.

Noise gate. Distortion. Looper.

What’s series of your guitar that recording?
Sheeran by Lowden. I have a video about it on the channel.

Hi thank you for watching! Please give me more information. What size room will it be used in, what instruments will you play with it etc,
Thanks. Its not entirely for indoors , sometimes, i may use it for picnic or alike.

What is the difference between this and the slightly cheaper Hot Box Loop Tune?
Just the colour by the looks of it lol
