Great demo, and very well narrated, even for folks like me who are still relatively new to "gear." It would have never occurred to me to use a looper to dial in my guitar/amp sound. Brilliant.
Just got this pedal a couple of weeks ago and just love it ! Always love watching other reviews on it and really enjoyed your video, very well explained and presented. Looking forward to checking out your other vids👍 Great job. Thanks.
i dont mean to be so off topic but does someone know a way to log back into an Instagram account? I was dumb forgot my login password. I appreciate any tips you can offer me!
I haven't bought this pedal (yet) but I believe that those two little arrow buttons on the screen are to switch between the 9 available channels. If you hold them both down at the same time, it turns into a guitar tuner. I noticed that the volume knob didn't seem to lower the volume. It sounded about the same on 1 as on 5, and then it was completely off.
Mine is the Boss RC-2, absolutely love it since there is no one to play with around here. That pedal is definitely very cool! I've never thought of using the looper to change the amp settings, that is a wicked helpful hack!!
Dude your Alabama homie here. Been stuck in the hospital for a week. Jammin on your 2 CDs , so glad I found out about them and bought them. Never have to worry about buffering ( free interweb lol ) to get to the creamy night center!!! LoL I've heard " signed " bands that aren't as good as you cats!! Thanks!
So you could take the output of a mixer and plug into the looper input and record a guitar, bass, mandolin, drum machine (all plugged into the mixer)? Also how do you activate the 9 loops that you can store. Can you change the length of the loop?
Had to return mine as I had issues importing and exporting wav files on Windows. Sometimes transferred completed file but didn't play correctly with hissing and buzzing. Sometimes wouldn't transfer file at all and then just became unresponsive. As a looper pedal it was simple to use but no use to me if I cannot import and export using the USB.
The loop pedal is stuck. It connects to the laptops, but does not allow me to delete any of my loops. It's really weird, because the pedal does not show the normal blue or red light. It's stuck on the purple lights. Is it broken or is there anything I can do to fix this?
I also like the loop LEDs. But: not usable in live situation, as the long press starts playing the loop, before deleting it. I guess most one-button devices have that issue...
you could just turn it down but that requires a free hand. Other than its so cheap you can mod it without fear of losing a lot of money if you break it. But out of the box I'd only use it for practice.
9V adapters are not universal, but the kind used for most guitar pedals is what you want here. If you haven't got one already, I recommend getting one of these and then you can power tons of pedals as you add them. www.amazon.com/Truetone-1-Spot-Combo-Pack/dp/B000RNB720/ref=sr_1_2?keywords=one+spot&qid=1578755110&s=musical-instruments&sr=1-2
I just received this looper today. I plugged the 9 volt plug in and nothing appears. A "U" appears when i plug the micro usb in but that's it. Any idea what my problem is anyone?
Question: So when you want to erase the loop (to do a new one by holding the button down) do you need to hear a split second of the loop you are erasing before it is deleted?
Good Question. I need to know whether I have to Delete every Loop that I have added to, or Can I just delete one solitary Loop at a time? Ones that I don't like or that I may have got badly wrong? Deleting all the Loops would be like a PlayStation death- the continuous 'Start Over' . May never get some inspirational Loops the same again....
i dont know what im doing wrong. I cant get the loop to close and start perfrctly. i am stepping on it at the end of my 4 chord progression and theres a split second pause of silence after, no matter what i do. i thought it was the pedal so i bought a different one and its still doing the same thing. can someone help me>? It's not a timing or rhythm issue for me, i've been playing for 20 years and im good, i just have never been a pedals guy and i seem to be following these instructions and the instructions in the pamphlet . im just so confused
What you want to do is start the loop on the "1" of the beat, then when you finish, you want to stop the loop in *exactly* the same place, on the "1". Often for me this feels like starting to play the progression again. You need to hit the button in rhythm with the song, basically. If you bought another loop pedal and it's doing the same thing, we can safely assume it's a technique thing, which is good, because it will be easy to fix :P
You can definitely use it to record ideas and then plug the pedal into the computer to download them. I *think* the loops will stay there since it works like a flash drive, but I'm not sure.
OOh, that doesn't sound good, if you'll pardon the pun 😉. I have this Lekato in my basket right now but I am concerned about the Delete function. All my Loops or can I just Delete 1 that I may not like whereas the rest is my dream sound coming through + an audible Click then, ....
@@kerryreedus333 you can undo the last overdub you’ve added to a loop but that’s as far as you can undo. Whatever you’ve got layered before that undo is staying there unless you delete the entire loop. You have 9 banks of separate loops you can work on. but once you switch from one bank to another you can’t go back and undo the latest overdub.
So it seems like I couldn’t record a clean rhythm loop then record an OD lead line since my OD is on my amp... I would need a pedal before the looper wouldn’t I.
Oh yeah! My Fender modeling amp foot switch comes with a built in looper!! Lol... I decided a few months ago to step into the world of pedals and I bought a new Cry Baby - and yes, cry like a baby I did, you can't use any pedals with the Modeling amp unless it's the effects pedal specifically made for this amp. Why didn't you tell me this before I bought the new Cry Baby Lucas? Lol, Actually I can use it but the amp will only play on the studio Pre-amp setting which means it's just nothing but all clean tones. Oh well, maybe I will that AMS give away from yesterday and win that Marshall 50 watt head with the 4x12 cabinet!! Hey, did your dad get a looper pedal for Christmas? He said he didn't have one on your video the other day lol. The issue I have with the looper is the timing of when to stop it, lol I never seem to hit it just right, luckily my recording software also has a looper!
Juan - Lol, that's odd. I don't even think I've ever seen a Boss pedal break. My list of owned pedals is not vast. But I have a broken OCD, broken Crybaby, broken Morley, broken tubescreamer, broken Seymour Duncan boost, and probably a few I forgot. Of the 4 boss pedal I currently have, never a problem, and they are heavily used basic pedals....tuner, chorus, delay, compression. And a couple I traded just because I didn't use them. What Boss has broken on you?
Also, let's say that I want to switch instruments in the middle of a loop, bc lbs we're on a budget here. Can I unplug, say, a quarterinch to xlr then plug in a quarter inch to a different instrument?
I don't think this pedal would do what you're looking for. It's a pretty standard guitar looper and that's about all it will do. I wouldn't try to run a mic into it, at minimum you would have to have an XLR to 1/4" cable to make that work.
@@LucasFowler So I actually ended up buying this looper. Just got it in a few hours, actually. It worked pretty well with the mic. I busk regularly, so I had a 1/4 in to XLR handy. It actually was able to do all the things that I was hoping for! I'm pretty stoked about it, actually. Though I'm still not sure how channels 2-9 work, like what their function is. I guess just storage?

You can delete the 'latest' overdub, but not one under it. So basically, you have to delete the layers from the last to the first in order if you want. In other words, if you have 3 layers 1, 2, 3, you delete 3 to get to 2 etc, but can't go straight to 2 and delete it.
@@missioncreekfarm7715 Mate, your brilliant advise answers my Question too, can you Delete 1 Loop at a time or does it just Delete them all ? I believe pressing those two small buttons at the same time activates a built in tuner.

isnt the Cuvave looper pro the same as this?

Still trying to get a continuous loop😮 Do I have to play a certain number of bars for a proper loop? Heyulp!
excellent review I am new to the looper thing and this is not only a great review of the pedal but a good demonstration of how to use one, thanks!

Thanks for the sub!
Great review. But I didn't see you cover the Guitar Tuner function?
Can record an acoustic loop then plug in an electric to it to play over it?
Thanks. The other guy's video didn't explain how to stop or how to delete the original loop. Yours did both.

Interesting, but the big question with these is always the same: is it durable at all?
Really like the led's that let you know when the loop is coming around. That's like common sense

I just ordered one in canada for $84 Cdn. Watched another video on it and liked what I saw. These look awesum. Can't wait to get it.

Check the polarity of the extension. If it is a two-pronged jack, try it the other way.
Hi. Does it work as good with bass? Does the tuner respond to the bass signal well?
Thanks for posting. I was wondering how long the loops were. Thanks for explaining.
Glad it was helpful!
does it have the auto record feature?
Do I need an extra SD Card? If Yes which one? (eBay Link would be great!)
I just bought 1 on Amazon for 49 bucks.. awesome
Is this better than the RC-1?
Can the second layer be longer than the first?
