      Hi! My daughter hasn't started school yet. From my understanding, nurseries and schools in the UAE can be expensive, with nurseries costing around $800-$2,000 per month and schools ranging from $10,000 to $40,000 per year. But the quality reputed to be very excellent.
      Some employers may offer benefits packages that cover schooling either fully or partially.

      As for the schools, I heard popular ones are Cranliegh, Repton, Raha International School, Nord Anglia.. and many more. There are lots of school reviews on moms fb groups: Abu Dhabi Mums, Bumps and Babes Abu Dhabi. Check them out.

    The main question is:
    How much monthly salary is needed for an individual?
    Does it still depends on nationality?
    Of course if one has experience, relevant qualification & if the employer needs You, one should be able to negotiate as per their requirements & points mentioned earlier.
    I think a person should be getting at least 8K-10K AED per month in a stable job (with company or self rented accommodation). That ways they have enough buffer to save for 1st year. And it goes without saying, that one has to bring some amount of savings from their country in the beginning.

    • @Marcabed
      @Marcabed  หลายเดือนก่อน

      Each person's required salary hinges on factors such as background, qualifications, experience, and financial needs. Recognizing these differences is vital for fair compensation. Additionally, the necessity of bringing money with you varies greatly depending on the individual, job, and opportunities available.

    What are the standard practices in terms of rent ? (Security deposit, insurance, and so on)

    • @Marcabed
      @Marcabed  9 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Hi @sLouadah to the best of my knowledge, when you consider renting an apartment, your expenses typically include the apartment rental itself, agency fees ranging from 4-5%, a security deposit of 4-5%, as well as deposits for utilities such as electricity, and internet. Property Finder and Bayut are among the most commonly used websites for apartment searches in the Emirates.

      Yas island is an ideal choice, especially when your workplace is nearby. It’s a newly developed area with all the necessities for daily life.
      You can also consider Saadiyat island, Al Bandar, or Al Raha areas, depending on your housing budget and the nursery or school you choose for your 3-year old. The shorter the commute from work and school to your house, the better.

    • @Marcabed
      @Marcabed  หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Over time, I've adapted to the situation. Just remember to stay within the law and get the necessary permissions for filming in certain locations. Being honest and respectful usually keeps things running smoothly. Vlogging in Abu Dhabi comes with its challenges, but with careful planning and awareness of regulations, it's manageable. And of course, never film individuals without permission-it's against UAE law. Always be mindful of cultural sensitivities and seek permission when needed for a positive experience for everyone involved.

      I'm speaking in dirhams for a family of 3, covering groceries, diapers, cleaning supplies, cat food, litter, and other essentials. This translates to about 1000 to 1300 USD, but it can vary based on where the family lives in the UAE, their lifestyle choices, how they shop, and other factors.
