B”H Rabbi Singer doesn’t know me, but his videos inspired me to do teshuvah. My parents were both not very observant. After stumbling across his videos on TH-cam and binge watching them during the lockdown, I was inspired to come back into the fold! I am now happily and proudly Orthodox! I found a shul that I love, moved near it, and I study Torah and Hebrew everyday. Rabbi Tovia Singer is a blessing.

@littleredpixie3116 Christianity was invented by Jews. Rabbinnic Judaism was invented by Onkelos and akiva who were both gentiles. Rashi commentaries are based on Onkelos Targum - Onkelos was also a necromancer and nephew of titus. You may want to refresh Deuteronomy 18:10.

As a former longtime Christian I am so grateful that rabbi Singer has dedicated his life to exposing the truth about the Church and its ideology and bringing us back to God through TaNaKh in its proper context.
All glory and praise belongs to HA’SHEM!!

    • @lovegrace5466

A longtime Christian and yet you are easily influenced. What a shame. Rabbi TS said the suffering servant in Isaiah is Israel and I supposed you think it is the truth.
Isa 49:6 "And he said, It is a light thing that thou shouldest be *my servant* to raise up the tribes of Jacob, and *to restore the preserved of Israel:* I will also give thee for a light to the Gentiles, that thou mayest be my salvation unto the end of the earth."
Rabbi TS said the suffering servant is Israel. Can a suffering servant, Israel restore itself, Israel?
He said when the Messiah comes, he will restore Israel after Elijah has come. Hence, he contradicted himself as to who will restore Israel.
*Who will restore Israel, the suffering servant, Israel or the Messiah?*

    • @timothya.olmeda7299
      @timothya.olmeda7299 3 วันที่ผ่านมา

      @
You just don’t get it do you.
Isaiah 49:6 is referring to the many Jewish people who are not faithful to God.
Therefore all of the tribes of Jacob, of which many are unaware that they are Jewish, even many more whom have hidden their identities throughout the centuries due to avoiding of certain death from their captives.
To restore the preserved ones is to clear up any misunderstandings that have occurred since the days of old where truth can be slightly altered and restore what has been known if anything was not in line with Torah.
It clearly goes on to mention that they, the Jewish faithful will be the light to the nations, aka, the gentile nations. The gentile nations will need to be reeducated and disassociated from their foreign religions and reshaped and molded into what is pleasing to the God of Israel.
As for Isaiah 53’s suffering servant?
      Read it and weep.
Isaiah 53, which is the fourth of four renowned Servant Songs, is umbilically connected to its preceding chapters. The “servant” in each of the three previous Servant Songs is plainly and repeatedly identified as the nation of Israel.
      Isaiah 41:8-9
But you, Israel, my servant, Jacob, whom I have chosen, the offspring of Abraham, my friend; you whom I took from the ends of the earth, and called from its farthest corners, saying to you, “You are my servant, I have chosen you and not cast you off.”
      Isaiah 44:1
But now hear, O Jacob my servant, Israel whom I have chosen!
      Isaiah 44:21
Remember these things, O Jacob, and Israel, for you are my servant; I formed you; you are my servant; O Israel, you will not be forgotten by me.
      Isaiah 45:4
For the sake of my servant Jacob, and Israel my chosen, I called you by your name, I name you, though you do not know me.
      Isaiah 48:20
Go out from Babylon, flee from Chaldea, declare this with a shout of joy, proclaim it, send it out to the end of the earth; say, “The Lord has redeemed his servant Jacob!”
      Isaiah 49:3
And he said to me, “You are my servant, Israel, in whom I will be glorified.”
According to this widespread rabbinic opinion, Isaiah 53 contains a deeply moving narrative which world leaders will cry aloud in the messianic age. The humbled kings of nations (52: 15) will confess that Jewish suffering occurred as a direct result of “our own iniquity,” (53:5) e.g., depraved Jew-hatred, rather than, as they previously thought, the stubborn blindness of the Jews.
The stunned reaction of the world’s nations to the unexpected vindication and redemption of the Jewish nation in the messianic age is a recurring theme throughout the Hebrew Scriptures. ((Isaiah 41:11; Micah 7:15-16; Jeremiah 16:19-20;)) Israel’s neighbors will be amazed when their age-old assessment of the Jew is finally proven wrong. Throughout Israel’s long and bitter exile, the nations mistakenly attributed the miserable predicament of the Jew to his stubborn rejection of the world’s religions. In the End of Days, however, the gentiles will discover what was until then unimaginable - the unwavering Jew was, in fact, all this time faithful to the one true God. On the other hand, “We despised and held him of no account” (53:3).
In essence, the final and complete redemption of the Jews, to which the stunned nations will bear witness, contradicts everything Israel’s gentile neighbors had ever previously anticipated, heard, or considered (52:15). “Who would have believed our report?” the kings will ask with their mouths wide open in amazement (53:1). The curtain of blindness is finally lifted when the “holy Arm of the Lord before the eyes of all the nations, all the ends of the earth will witness the salvation of His people” (52:10).
The unanticipated vindication of the Jews in the End of Days, however, will raise nagging, introspective questions for Israel’s neighbors: How then can we explain the Jews’ long-enduring suffering at our own hands? After all, the age-old reasons we contrived to explain away Israel’s agony are clearly no longer valid. Who is to blame for Israel’s miserable existence in exile? In short, why did the servant of God seem to suffer without measure or cause?
Therefore, Isaiah 53:8 concludes with their stunning confession, “for the transgressions of my people [the gentile nations] they [the Jews]were stricken.” The fact that the servant is spoken of in the third person, plural לָמוֹ (lamo)illustrates beyond doubt that the servant is a nation rather than a single individual.
The rabbinic interpretation of Isaiah 53 fits in seamlessly with its surrounding chapters which all clearly depict the nation of Israel as “despised, afflicted” (54:6-11), and oppressed “without cause” (52:4) at the hands of the gentile nations.
This isn’t just the rabbi’s interpretation, this is Isaiah, this is TaNaKh.
Go back and read it for yourself.

Hi. I was raised as a Catholic. Tovia Singer was the first Jewish rabbi I watched on TH-cam and I immediately got annoyed with him because he was always saying how evil Christianity was while praising the evils of Islam. So I had to abandon his channel and started watching other Orthodox rabbis.
After listening to the other rabbis' shiurs on Edom, Esav, Ishmael, and the end times I began to get interested in Judaism because I liked their fascinating lectures on the zohar and gemara and how they predict everything that is happening today.
So I decided in the end to attach myself to the nation of Israel and the Jewish people while remaining a gentile.

When you attach yourself to the Jews and Israel, yet remain a gentile, you are a Noahide then? They usually accept the faith of the Jews, without converting to Judaism.

I am born Jewish and observant. I had a neighbor down the street who called herself a messianic Jew. In the 1980's several of them came to my Shul on a Friday night. We discussed it with our Rabbi to learn that basically they are Christians trying to convert Jews. We also had a cable TV station showing what looked like a Jewish service with a messianic Jewish Rabbi. I felt like it was a sneaky way to try to convert Jews to Christianity. Rabbi Singer is a treasure!

Ask Tovia why he deliberately MISTRANSLATES Zechariah 12:10 when his own Talmud agrees with the KJV translation. Yeshua is God who was pierced. Your rabbis don't want to admit it so they MISTRANSLATE scripture and replace it with Onkelos Targum and Rashi. FTR, Onkelos was a gentile necromancer - the nephew of Titus. Read Deuteronomy 18:10 yet your Tovia idol replace the word of God with the words of a necromancer to avoid admitting that Yeshua is the Messiah.

@@ChristianGirlwhoLovesJesus You're actually the one who is deliberately mistranslating. Jews always take the most basic meaning of a verse and work to understand it before they start giving deeper meanings. And not one of the basic meanings of any of these verses, or any other verses Christians claim are proof that J was the messiah, in any way mean that. They literally take one word in Yeshaya and decide it's referring to J, completely ignoring the dozens of verses in Scripture that clearly state that false prophets will arise, they will perform miracles, people will fall for them, and they will NOT be the messiah. That's in addition to the dozens of verses against serving idols or multiple Gds. I'm sure Rabbi Singer can explain this more eloquently, but just have to put this out there for anyone reading this.

    ISAIAH Chapter 53
1Who hath believed our report? and to whom is the arm of the LORD revealed?
2For he shall grow up before him as a tender plant, and as a root out of a dry ground: he hath no form nor comeliness; and when we shall see him, there is no beauty that we should desire him.
3He is despised and rejected of men; a man of sorrows, and acquainted with grief: and we hid as it were our faces from him; he was despised, and we esteemed him not.
4Surely he hath borne our griefs, and carried our sorrows: yet we did esteem him stricken, smitten of God, and afflicted.
5But he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon him; and with his stripes we are healed.

    To prove to you, Rabbi Tovia, that Roman Catholics are not Christians, ask yourself this;
Why would a Jewish man who claimed to be a prophet of the Jewish god name his church, his religion after the Romans who crucified him??
The Roman Catholic Church is the blending of Christianity with the Roman Pantheon in order to unite Constantine's warring kingdom. This is a common practice throughout history when conquering another nation. It's easier to maintain the Peace by adopting the gods of the previous nation and simply changing their names. Military leaders have no God except for war.

Some Jews do teach that Sabbath is only for the Jews and even forbid Christians to observe it!
I have actually been shamed by a Jew for keeping Sabbath. Can you imagine the confusion that this causes among the gentiles?
What does Jew was saying to me was that Jews are the only ones who are expected to rest on the 7th Day and congregate with God while the gentiles are supposed to keep on working and serving the Jews. Not once did God say the gentiles were to serve the Jews, but God said the Jews were to serve as Kings and priests between God and the nations.

Sometimes I watch Rabbi Singer and other rabbis who discuss the New Testament in extreme detail to argue against it. I think it is sad and unnecessary to teach Jewish people about the New Testament so much like they do. You don't need to know the New Testament to argue against Christianity.
I am Jewish, but not exactly Orthodox, and I think that the Jewish arguments against Christianity from the Hebrew Bible are mostly weak and bad. There are a few good arguments, but not enough. I don't believe in Christianity or Messianic Judaism, but I am not surprised that they are able to use the Hebrew Bible to convert Jews. I expect Messianic Judaism to grow tremendously in the future, especially in Israel, because the traditional Jewish arguments against it are so weak.
I have thought of my own alternative translations and arguments that I hope will someday be used by Jewish people, but my ideas depend a lot on textual criticism of the Hebrew Bible. I think that some of the letters in the Hebrew Bible were divided into words wrong and some quotes have been misread because of a lack of vowels and punctuation. I also think a lot of quotes are witty and involve word plays that people are overlooking. I think that when things get really bad and people see that the traditional Jewish arguments are not really working, maybe they will try my ideas that I have self-published. Rabbi Singer has two books of arguments against Christianity, but they don't work that great.
