A longtime Christian and yet you are easily influenced. What a shame. Rabbi TS said the suffering servant in Isaiah is Israel and I supposed you think it is the truth. Isa 49:6 "And he said, It is a light thing that thou shouldest be *my servant* to raise up the tribes of Jacob, and *to restore the preserved of Israel:* I will also give thee for a light to the Gentiles, that thou mayest be my salvation unto the end of the earth." Rabbi TS said the suffering servant is Israel. Can a suffering servant, Israel restore itself, Israel? He said when the Messiah comes, he will restore Israel after Elijah has come. Hence, he contradicted himself as to who will restore Israel. *Who will restore Israel, the suffering servant, Israel or the Messiah?*
@ You just don’t get it do you. Isaiah 49:6 is referring to the many Jewish people who are not faithful to God. Therefore all of the tribes of Jacob, of which many are unaware that they are Jewish, even many more whom have hidden their identities throughout the centuries due to avoiding of certain death from their captives. To restore the preserved ones is to clear up any misunderstandings that have occurred since the days of old where truth can be slightly altered and restore what has been known if anything was not in line with Torah. It clearly goes on to mention that they, the Jewish faithful will be the light to the nations, aka, the gentile nations. The gentile nations will need to be reeducated and disassociated from their foreign religions and reshaped and molded into what is pleasing to the God of Israel. As for Isaiah 53’s suffering servant? Read it and weep. Isaiah 53, which is the fourth of four renowned Servant Songs, is umbilically connected to its preceding chapters. The “servant” in each of the three previous Servant Songs is plainly and repeatedly identified as the nation of Israel. Isaiah 41:8-9 But you, Israel, my servant, Jacob, whom I have chosen, the offspring of Abraham, my friend; you whom I took from the ends of the earth, and called from its farthest corners, saying to you, “You are my servant, I have chosen you and not cast you off.” Isaiah 44:1 But now hear, O Jacob my servant, Israel whom I have chosen! Isaiah 44:21 Remember these things, O Jacob, and Israel, for you are my servant; I formed you; you are my servant; O Israel, you will not be forgotten by me. Isaiah 45:4 For the sake of my servant Jacob, and Israel my chosen, I called you by your name, I name you, though you do not know me. Isaiah 48:20 Go out from Babylon, flee from Chaldea, declare this with a shout of joy, proclaim it, send it out to the end of the earth; say, “The Lord has redeemed his servant Jacob!” Isaiah 49:3 And he said to me, “You are my servant, Israel, in whom I will be glorified.” According to this widespread rabbinic opinion, Isaiah 53 contains a deeply moving narrative which world leaders will cry aloud in the messianic age. The humbled kings of nations (52: 15) will confess that Jewish suffering occurred as a direct result of “our own iniquity,” (53:5) e.g., depraved Jew-hatred, rather than, as they previously thought, the stubborn blindness of the Jews. The stunned reaction of the world’s nations to the unexpected vindication and redemption of the Jewish nation in the messianic age is a recurring theme throughout the Hebrew Scriptures. ((Isaiah 41:11; Micah 7:15-16; Jeremiah 16:19-20;)) Israel’s neighbors will be amazed when their age-old assessment of the Jew is finally proven wrong. Throughout Israel’s long and bitter exile, the nations mistakenly attributed the miserable predicament of the Jew to his stubborn rejection of the world’s religions. In the End of Days, however, the gentiles will discover what was until then unimaginable - the unwavering Jew was, in fact, all this time faithful to the one true God. On the other hand, “We despised and held him of no account” (53:3). In essence, the final and complete redemption of the Jews, to which the stunned nations will bear witness, contradicts everything Israel’s gentile neighbors had ever previously anticipated, heard, or considered (52:15). “Who would have believed our report?” the kings will ask with their mouths wide open in amazement (53:1). The curtain of blindness is finally lifted when the “holy Arm of the Lord before the eyes of all the nations, all the ends of the earth will witness the salvation of His people” (52:10). The unanticipated vindication of the Jews in the End of Days, however, will raise nagging, introspective questions for Israel’s neighbors: How then can we explain the Jews’ long-enduring suffering at our own hands? After all, the age-old reasons we contrived to explain away Israel’s agony are clearly no longer valid. Who is to blame for Israel’s miserable existence in exile? In short, why did the servant of God seem to suffer without measure or cause? Therefore, Isaiah 53:8 concludes with their stunning confession, “for the transgressions of my people [the gentile nations] they [the Jews]were stricken.” The fact that the servant is spoken of in the third person, plural לָמוֹ (lamo)illustrates beyond doubt that the servant is a nation rather than a single individual. The rabbinic interpretation of Isaiah 53 fits in seamlessly with its surrounding chapters which all clearly depict the nation of Israel as “despised, afflicted” (54:6-11), and oppressed “without cause” (52:4) at the hands of the gentile nations. This isn’t just the rabbi’s interpretation, this is Isaiah, this is TaNaKh. Go back and read it for yourself.
Rabbi, I was at your house for shaboss Friday night back in 2007 when I was in yerushalayim for my year of post high school yeshiva A few years earlier you spoke at my camp (NCSY teen kollel) located on moshav Beit Meir You’re SO funny! I love how you teach Torah with lightness and simcha Rabbi Singer may Hashem bless you ten fold for what you do! My mom was a convert to Judaism from being raised in the Christian Science cult Her sister is a even a Christian Science faith healer or something like that I learned a lot of the arguments against Christianity from her (my mother of blessed memory)
Thank you Rabbi Orlofsky. Growing up in Kew Gardens Queens and being in Yeshivish my whole life. There is a lot I just learned from this episode. This past shabbis I was walking to the kotel. I bumped into Rabbi Singer by Jaffa gate. He had a small crowd around him. I wished him a good shabbis. As we each went on our way. The few that were walking my direction were glad that Hashem has brought Rabbi Singer to this world. We all understood that Rabbi Singer is a walking encyclopedia to explain what is the REAL truth. Thank you Rabbi Singer. May Hashem keep on giving you koach to keep on doing what you do.
Hi. I was raised as a Catholic. Tovia Singer was the first Jewish rabbi I watched on TH-cam and I immediately got annoyed with him because he was always saying how evil Christianity was while praising the evils of Islam. So I had to abandon his channel and started watching other Orthodox rabbis. After listening to the other rabbis' shiurs on Edom, Esav, Ishmael, and the end times I began to get interested in Judaism because I liked their fascinating lectures on the zohar and gemara and how they predict everything that is happening today. So I decided in the end to attach myself to the nation of Israel and the Jewish people while remaining a gentile.
When you attach yourself to the Jews and Israel, yet remain a gentile, you are a Noahide then? They usually accept the faith of the Jews, without converting to Judaism.
Being challenged by a missionary in CT made me read Tanach thoroughly, many times. Now I enjoy talking bible with Christians, I don't feel threatened at all. R' Tuvia so nice to see you on the podcast and it was great to see you randomly in Nachlaot! Also recommend reading Samuel Levine.
Thank you Rabbis. Well, as a Catholic, I never had much time for Luther and I am interested to learn more about his anti semitism, so would appreciate more talks on his writings about his hate for Jews. Sounds like he had a mental hate issue. Looking to find out why Christianity split off from Judaism, so like to watch Rabbi Singers talks. Am a great supporter for Israel and always will be. Yes, they are the chosen people and anyone who curses Israel will be cursed. Best to Israel. 🇦🇺
It’s an INTERview, friend! If you’d like Tovia Singer alone, just as they mentioned in this video, he has an enormous body of videos on his channel which are primarily monologues.
I am born Jewish and observant. I had a neighbor down the street who called herself a messianic Jew. In the 1980's several of them came to my Shul on a Friday night. We discussed it with our Rabbi to learn that basically they are Christians trying to convert Jews. We also had a cable TV station showing what looked like a Jewish service with a messianic Jewish Rabbi. I felt like it was a sneaky way to try to convert Jews to Christianity. Rabbi Singer is a treasure!
Ask Tovia why he deliberately MISTRANSLATES Zechariah 12:10 when his own Talmud agrees with the KJV translation. Yeshua is God who was pierced. Your rabbis don't want to admit it so they MISTRANSLATE scripture and replace it with Onkelos Targum and Rashi. FTR, Onkelos was a gentile necromancer - the nephew of Titus. Read Deuteronomy 18:10 yet your Tovia idol replace the word of God with the words of a necromancer to avoid admitting that Yeshua is the Messiah. Babylonian Talmud says: “One holds that it was for the Messiah the son of Joseph who was killed, as written in Zechariah 12: *When they look on ME, WHOM THEY HAVE PIERCED* , they shall mourn for him, as one mourns for an only child.” [Tractate Sukkah, Chapter 5]
@@ChristianGirlwhoLovesJesus Yes he deliberately mistranslated Zec 12:10 , saying the person who was pierced was a military leader in this war and everyone mourned for him but he doesn't know who that leader is. The Talmud is Sukkah 52a:3
@lovegrace5466 He MISTRANSLATES many scriptures. He quotes Onkelos and Rashi and tells all his non-hebrew followers that he is quoting the Hebrew bible - his own Talmud proves he's a liar.

@@ChristianGirlwhoLovesJesus You're actually the one who is deliberately mistranslating. Jews always take the most basic meaning of a verse and work to understand it before they start giving deeper meanings. And not one of the basic meanings of any of these verses, or any other verses Christians claim are proof that J was the messiah, in any way mean that. They literally take one word in Yeshaya and decide it's referring to J, completely ignoring the dozens of verses in Scripture that clearly state that false prophets will arise, they will perform miracles, people will fall for them, and they will NOT be the messiah. That's in addition to the dozens of verses against serving idols or multiple Gds. I'm sure Rabbi Singer can explain this more eloquently, but just have to put this out there for anyone reading this.
Relatable. My issue is I have multiple religious backgrounds and I don't seek to dishonour any of them. I honor tradition of ancestors and if your ancestors are of many traditions then you must honor many traditions. I am versed in Jewish and Catholic and Protestant theologies and even in concepts of Hindu syncretism with Christianity and in Indigenous Spirituality and with all of their fundamental conflicts with one another. I couldn't rightly tell you what I am, I am a Biracial American Indian spiritualist and I believe in the Creator. In your world, he is Hashem.
Very hard to follow traditions that pull in different directions. What we call Hashem and his Torah is light years what others worship and believe are holy books.
Rabbi Singer is very different. He welcomes conversations, debates and invites people to know Jews, Jewish faith and most of all what Torah actually means. I am a Taiwanese Jew ( biologically from my father and mother Judean Jewish lines ), and an American citizen. Baruch HaShem for Rabbi Singer. I am grateful to watch his online programs. Perhaps I would run into him in Jerusalem in January 2025 when I make my first and many Aliyah visits. Thank you.
@@anchoragealaska3104 Tovia Singer has 100% obliterated Christian doctrine and has shown it to be unbiblical. He has shown beyond a doubt the Christians have twisted and mistranslated scripture. Paul was insane and he created Christianity.
Baruk Hashem for this podcast. Rav, its very clear that Hakodesh Baruk hu put you in this world to bring Jews back home and also goyim back to the Noahide path. May Hashem continually grant you strength and blessings in this task. Baruk Hashem.
Tovia said Jewish students need to study the Neviim (Prophets). They currently focus on the Jewish commentaries. Christians also need to study the Prophets and they currently focus on the New Testament.
I was surprised to see how many missionary videos, including those specifically targeted at Jews here in Israel, are put out weekly! I frequently comment and encourage Jewish brothers and sisters to watch Rabbi Singer's videos and also those of Jews for Judaism. Often the comments are deleted though.
In my efforts to trace my genealogy, I connected with two cousins...who turned out to be part of the messianic movement . They said they came to it independently..
Sedevacatist. Not Traditionalist. Sedevacantists are traditionalist, but traditionalist Catholicism is a big tent that has a very small number of Sedevacantists within it.
ISAIAH Chapter 53 1Who hath believed our report? and to whom is the arm of the LORD revealed? 2For he shall grow up before him as a tender plant, and as a root out of a dry ground: he hath no form nor comeliness; and when we shall see him, there is no beauty that we should desire him. 3He is despised and rejected of men; a man of sorrows, and acquainted with grief: and we hid as it were our faces from him; he was despised, and we esteemed him not. 4Surely he hath borne our griefs, and carried our sorrows: yet we did esteem him stricken, smitten of God, and afflicted. 5But he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon him; and with his stripes we are healed.

Why don't we have at least a thousand Rabbi Singers. There are thousands of men studying Torah and Talmud as their only job yet where are they when it comes to bringing light to the nations. To prove to you, Rabbi Tovia, that Roman Catholics are not Christians, ask yourself this; Why would a Jewish man who claimed to be a prophet of the Jewish god name his church, his religion after the Romans who crucified him?? The Roman Catholic Church is the blending of Christianity with the Roman Pantheon in order to unite Constantine's warring kingdom. This is a common practice throughout history when conquering another nation. It's easier to maintain the Peace by adopting the gods of the previous nation and simply changing their names. Military leaders have no God except for war.
Tovia says it is ridiculous that an innocent man could die for the sins of the wicked. But Israel suffered for the sins of the wicked until messiah come?
so pathetic to live in such fear and suspicion, specifically thinking that Christian support for Israel in the US, which is much more significant than Jewish support, is mostly due to some conspiracy. I guess when one only thinks and acts towards other groups in an uncharitable and hateful way thinks others are the same (14:30).
Rabbi Singer is indeed quite educated about the Christian faith but not 100% accurate and keep in mind, he’s biased, so he’s talking from the Jewish perspective
“And I will pour upon the house of David, and upon the inhabitant of Jerusalem, the spirit of grace and supplication; and they shall look to me whom they have pierced; and they shall mourn for him, as one mourns for his only son, and shall be in bitterness for him, as one that is on bitterness for his firstborn." Zechariah 12:10 (Dead Sea Scrolls Bible)
Some Jews do teach that Sabbath is only for the Jews and even forbid Christians to observe it! I have actually been shamed by a Jew for keeping Sabbath. Can you imagine the confusion that this causes among the gentiles? What does Jew was saying to me was that Jews are the only ones who are expected to rest on the 7th Day and congregate with God while the gentiles are supposed to keep on working and serving the Jews. Not once did God say the gentiles were to serve the Jews, but God said the Jews were to serve as Kings and priests between God and the nations. Sabbath is a day of rest for the whole world, the entire planet should become quiescent on the sabbath.
Sometimes I watch Rabbi Singer and other rabbis who discuss the New Testament in extreme detail to argue against it. I think it is sad and unnecessary to teach Jewish people about the New Testament so much like they do. You don't need to know the New Testament to argue against Christianity. I am Jewish, but not exactly Orthodox, and I think that the Jewish arguments against Christianity from the Hebrew Bible are mostly weak and bad. There are a few good arguments, but not enough. I don't believe in Christianity or Messianic Judaism, but I am not surprised that they are able to use the Hebrew Bible to convert Jews. I expect Messianic Judaism to grow tremendously in the future, especially in Israel, because the traditional Jewish arguments against it are so weak. I have thought of my own alternative translations and arguments that I hope will someday be used by Jewish people, but my ideas depend a lot on textual criticism of the Hebrew Bible. I think that some of the letters in the Hebrew Bible were divided into words wrong and some quotes have been misread because of a lack of vowels and punctuation. I also think a lot of quotes are witty and involve word plays that people are overlooking. I think that when things get really bad and people see that the traditional Jewish arguments are not really working, maybe they will try my ideas that I have self-published. Rabbi Singer has two books of arguments against Christianity, but they don't work that great.
You best get ready for big big problems ! As I can tell you that presumes to know of Christianity , that you are in revelation in the KJV bible, So read up on revelation chapter 13 ! Shalom

I want Tovia Singer to give me the name of one righteous gentile who converted to Judaism or became a tzaddik from the nation of Ishmael. He probably can't name a single one. But I can name many righteous converts from the nation of Esav beginning with the Prophet Obadiah and also Rabbi Akiva, Onkelos, and many Torah scholars who were from the nation of Esav. All the Noahides and converts I know today are all from the nation of Esav. So why are the Christians always the villains and never the jihadi Muslims? 🤔
Christians are have been by far the greatest source of persecution for jews and Christians specifically targe us for conversion which Muslims don't and Muslims do have laws of tawhid and shirk they get tight making them not idolaters and making us by Jewish law able to enter and even pray in their mosques while we can't step foot in a church. By the way Rabbi Akivah was born Jewish, he wasnt a convert
the vilain is christian principles. as it is Esav disguised with the skin of Abraham. Even jews don t understand this paradox. it s not that it s not kosher, which it aint, it s that the surface level is not where the wisdom is. . in fact, your comment establishes this truth, that when the scriptures reveals the depth of it s message to the reader, a believer makes a commitment to live by the torah. the NT leads you there, when one studies the NT scripture with basic common sense through the eyes of the torah. not the sauce the church serves xtians. . we do get lost in the sauce by pointing rab sources saying how Esav acquired Rome. how rome is xtianity, how the messiah sits like a pauper at the gates of Rome. .. of course, good and bad is not the point. Truth is the only pursuit. for a jew, of course. since jews wrote the NT, i wouldnt worry bout it too much. jews engage the whole world in a god frenzy. as long as you are busy with gd on your mind, you can t be that bad. but you can be wrong. lol

This isn’t just the rabbi’s interpretation, this is Isaiah, this is TaNaKh.

Rabbi, I was at your house for shaboss Friday night back in 2007 when I was in yerushalayim for my year of post high school yeshiva
A few years earlier you spoke at my camp (NCSY teen kollel) located on moshav Beit Meir
You’re SO funny!
I love how you teach Torah with lightness and simcha
Rabbi Singer may Hashem bless you ten fold for what you do!

I learned a lot of the arguments against Christianity from her (my mother of blessed memory)
I've listened to many lectures from the both of you for quite a few years. It's nice to see you together.
This is the famous speaker crossover we've all been waiting for.
I'm so thankful Rabbi Tovia Singer is here!
We're all so blessed to have him.

May Hashem keep on giving you koach to keep on doing what you do.
very informative session thank u
And what do you think of rabbi Singer now? 😅😇
@@ElleMonzon @flyingcat7975 ADORES Him !!!!
Attach yourself how? Like being a Noahide?
@ElleMonzon I am ok with him, now.

There were many verses I disagreed with him. Isa 7:14, Isa 53, Gen 18, Psa 110 , Glory of God at the wailing wall, Satan etc
You were not previously a Christian if you believe Tovia Singer
Rabbi Singer is great
Thank you Rabbis. 🇦🇺
Oh and you wanna know why Christianity and Judaism split? How about read your damn bible or ask your priest, Jennifer?
Glad I found this! 🎉
Rabbi Orlofsky needs to work on NOT interrupting Rabbi Tovia Singer’s RESPONSE to his own questions! His nervous giggling is quite a distraction.
Babylonian Talmud says:
“One holds that it was for the Messiah the son of Joseph who was killed, as written in Zechariah 12: *When they look on ME, WHOM THEY HAVE PIERCED* , they shall mourn for him, as one mourns for an only child.” [Tractate Sukkah, Chapter 5]
Tovia's a liar and deliberate scripture altering liar at that. I can prove it with his own Talmud lol
@@ChristianGirlwhoLovesJesus Do you speak Hebrew and Aramaic. If you don't, you have no business commenting about translation.

You have to have Mr singer on again please
Oh my goodness! To be continued! I legitimately gasped from disappointment! I am very much looking forward to the next part. 😊 Thank you!

ISAIAH Chapter 53
1Who hath believed our report? and to whom is the arm of the LORD revealed?

What’s funny is I’m not arguing
"Eloheim" is plural for "Gods."
Over time, the Jews created the idea that it should be referred to as a singular God and adopted monotheism.
Just because he reads the Torah, Bible and whatever else doesn’t make his interpretations of the New Testament as being correct.

To prove to you, Rabbi Tovia, that Roman Catholics are not Christians, ask yourself this;
Why would a Jewish man who claimed to be a prophet of the Jewish god name his church, his religion after the Romans who crucified him??

Lol!! 🤣
Are Jews like their father?
Cliffhanger!
