I understand what the rabbi said abt the old prayers having no meaning, and I’m surprised that you don’t. Just go to any shul and 95% of the people are saying words they’ve memorized but don’t understand as fast as humanly possible. When we stand silent for a minute in honor of the dead, by your own admission standing silent is different than anything else we do, and doing something different can truly help people reflect and contemplate, and it can be more meaningful and have more kevana than reading some prayer at 100 miles an hour. Also, don’t you recognize that one day the prayers we all say today were also new? That Hannukah observance was also once new. Purim was new… until they weren’t new anymore. Judaism isn’t for dinosaurs. Don’t be afraid of good change.
Great Sages & Prophets enacted our prayers. Great Sages & Prophets enacted Chanukah and Purim. There is absolutely no one in the later generations who have the right or the ability to enact anything new.
sorry, but your message is so dualistic and inconsistent as to be almost meaningless. you start off saying a proper attitude during the shoah was to just survive, then you finish by saying survival mode would never have gotten us chanuka. very unclear and confusingly apologetic.
Matthew 11:28-30 New International Version 28 “Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. 29 Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. 30 For my yoke is easy and my burden is light.”
Let's make the draddel great again ❤.
Baruch HaShem! Seeing a video by Rabbi is always a highlight in my day! 😊

The nt is fictional, except for the parts stolen from Tanach.
Repent of your sins directly to G’d and obey the seven Laws. 😊
