Great video - thank you! Skip the torch and hold the bolt washers in a pair of pliers and use a drill driver w/ a 10mm socket to spin them off. New ones press on by hand.
To remove the grommet off the valve cover screws you can take some channel locks and hold it by the grommet then take your number 10 mm with a drill And it comes right off.
I got quoted by a local “brand name” tire shop $210 for the valve gasket kit, and $400 for labor. Wanting to do this job myself, but I’m not very mechanically inclined. How hard was it?
idk about srapying brake cleaning inside my enchine that shits gunna eat your bearings right up in no time smh you went overboard just soak the oil up spray some on a rag and wipe it down
As someone who's done tube seals, I thought the exact same thing, but maybe do a Google search before stating something like that. First diy forum had the tube seals in this orientation.

Excellent instructions. I was perplexed on the tube seals. Thank you.

Thank you
Love watching your videos! 👍👍👍
Great video! I watched one with WAY too much information. Almost was not going to do it myself. You changed my mind. 2 thumbs up!
Totally agree! Looks easy enough.

Why do you have to remove those little rubber grommets? Can't you reuse them to bolt down the valve cover?
no - gasket kits come with new ones

All that brake cleaner evaporated before he got the gasket service clean.
nice video👍👍👍
I don’t know what 4.7 you are working on but mine was totally different.
What kind of vehicle are you working on?
Do you put the sealant on the valve cover too?
Is the hose connector on top of the passenger valve cover a press fit or threaded, does it need to be replaced like the pcv?
Thank you!
The spark plug tube seals were installed backwards. The side with the gap in the seal goes on inside of the the valve cover. Good job otherwise!
Incorrect
Wrong, they are installed correctly per his instructions
Hey buddy I already addressed this.
No the side that’s raised goes towards the hood of the vehicle . He installed incorrectly
