Started watching your videos as I was researching MagSafe portable batteries on Amazon and I’ve been reading reviews about the heat problem. Thank you so much for making in-depth videos about Qi2! I learned so much already. Can’t wait till Anker makes a slimmer and lower profile Qi2 MagSafe charger so I could carry it around comfortably in my pocket! Also just wanted to say thank you so much for letting us all know that Anker makes the only Qi2 battery pack in the US right now. I’m debating if I should wait or just buy it now.
Belkin's 5k option is actually out in selected markets, but it only supports Qi2 15W when plugged in. When used without being plugged it, it charges at normal speeds using Qi1.
Yeah, I pretty much realized this when I got it months ago, started using it, and noticed it charges terribly slow compared to the last MagSafe battery pack I had. For transparency, I'm currently using a Galaxy S22+ with a MagSafe adapter, and I was hoping the faster charging speeds of Qi2 could work on my end as well, but this pack didn't have any of that. Whatever percentage I started with when I stuck the pack on my phone, it maintains it there but it rarely goes up. I do like how thin and light it is tho; I stuck a MagSafe adapter to the back of mine so I can sandwich all my other accessories like my PopSocket while making my battery last longer, but the slow charging speeds and the deceptive advertising is such a bummer.
I like the look of Logiix Piston Power 5000 Mag Slim as it’s only 8mm but I have the same doubts as described in this video. Would love to hear your thoughts on that one (they are due to release the Qi2 version any day now)
Thank you, Stephen! I was looking at this product and it’s unfortunate seeing straight up lies from companies especially when you see pictures of the MagSafe animation like the official Apple MagSafe battery pack.
Thanks! I’m glad to hear the result right here. Unfortunately, I had already bought the momax MagSafe charger. I wondered why it charged slowly. Right now, I knew it. Thanks again, bro!!
Thanks for the video! I was torn between this and the Anker qi2, one. This helped a lot in my decision making. It's sad tho because i really like the Momax magsafe charger because of its sleeker design compare to Anker. But I gotta go with which performs better.
Which wireless charging is suitable for 15 pro? But i like Q.MAG X Magnetic Wireless Battery Pack 5000mAh because it’s designe language.. is it worth it?
I can tell you are a charging aficionado. Just like me. Idk. There’s just something about well designed battery packs and wall bricks that just speaks to me.
4:51 I don’t think you’ll be getting it this yr, if Apple brings it with usbc, that means they will have run out of lightning cables and ports in their warehouses. Because the European Union law on usbc is for mobile devices, but does not include powerbanks. Giving Apple a small upsell as they can’t charge manufacturers a license on usbc
Wow, the algorithm is scary - I bought a battery pack from Amazon that looked great and advertised 15W 2 weeks ago. Tested it with Amperes and it didn't even get to 5W 😅 But I wish there were more "Swiss knife" packs that have more features at once like Apple watch charger, stand, or even built-in cables for more efficient charging. The cheap Amazon one had it so it can definitely be done in a small form-factor haha Great video btw, got me to subscribe!
Shit I just bought it for its light weight, charging speed I am not too concern as I bought it as a back up in case my battery runs out and I have an urgent use, but the heat really concerns me, my previous one is ESR HaloLock 10000mAh , it’s even worse, it’s burning hot ( I used for few days, my battery health dropped from 100 to 99, I bought the iPhone 15 for several months it always stays 100 before the MagSafe wireless charging ), even this momax is just luke warm for me, Thanks for the Anker Qi2 suggestion ! I would definitely keep an eye on this product line to see what time thinner and lighter version comes out
Did you check if it's on low power charge? It has a feature where it allows for low power charge for other devices such as earphones or watches where it's not 15W.
It's possible with Qi 1.2 spec, but Momax doesn't specify and one Android user here in the comments tried with their S22+ and it did not seem to provide faster charging.
Funny, you do battery charging tests as part of what you do for a living, and your 15 Pro Max is at 94% capacity.. my 15 Pro is at 91% from launch day 😂 But then again, probably because the 15 Pro Max has a higher battery capacity?
@@beardfm yeah generally, I use my phone a lot so can't blame anything else, even at work I use it quite a bit lol.. and that's even with optimized battery charging on (but not the 80% limit option)
qi2 is just bunch of bs....becasue it still takes like 3hrs for a full charge...and I paid double the price and I save 1hrs charging time? not really worth the money.
I really hate when companies lie about their offer of products and/or services. Thanks for this video.
Glad to shed some light on it!

Appreciate the kind words! And wait a few more weeks if possible. I think thinner versions and other models from Belkin are right on the horizon!
@@beardfm yes I can't wait! Looking forward to your next video on them!

Ooph that stinks

Interesting, was this any faster than other wireless battery packs with your Samsung S22+?

Welcome! And the Anker Qi2 is still the only legit option right now, unfortunately
you can get a realtime charging wattage details in iMazing
Can do a test on torras 5k slim profile powerbank ?
Thanks! I’m glad to hear the result right here. Unfortunately, I had already bought the momax MagSafe charger. I wondered why it charged slowly. Right now, I knew it. Thanks again, bro!!
Glad I could at least answer the mystery!
Raycon Magic Power Bank Slim advertises 15W charging as well, doubt it gets it

How about the newer 10K mAh?
Hi bro. Thanks for granting my request. I sold my momax and will wait for the anker qi2 here in our country.
how much will it charge your phone like from 30 to how much ?
Which wireless charging is suitable for 15 pro? But i like Q.MAG X Magnetic Wireless Battery Pack 5000mAh because it’s designe language.. is it worth it?
If you like the design, it still works! Just doesn't charge as fast as other Qi2 batteries like from Anker.
How Ugreen mini magesafe 5000 mah?
I can tell you are a charging aficionado. Just like me. Idk. There’s just something about well designed battery packs and wall bricks that just speaks to me.
Absolutely! And I love the convenience of wireless battery backs, but want to make sure it’s not hurting battery and charges at a decent speed.

any testing with it on iPhone 12 mini?? wondering about the size😬😬
Edit: The size even bigger than iPhone 16 Pro with official case🙂
Wish I had a mini to test!
Can we used this power bank on samsung S21fe?
You can charge wired with this, but it won't stick like MagSafe

I’m really curious about the Alumu MagSafe charging pack. Their design language reminds me of Nothing.
Will check it out!
Please review Native Union and Aulumu
Hi any chance will you review the Energea AluPac Air Ultra Light Magnetic Power Bank?
Hadn't heard of that one! Is it available on Amazon in the US?
How about the Sharge icemag MagSafe charger?
Hadn't heard of that one yet! Looks like normal 7.5W charging, no Qi2, but will see if I can get one to test the heat.
So helpful thank you! Any thoughts on the new Momax Ultra-Compac Magsafe Wireless Power Bank 35W 20000mAh due out soon?
I’ll have to check that out! Hadn’t heard
which wireless charger is suitable for iphone 15
I'd get the Anker Qi2 th-cam.com/video/4b1VJ6OZkWU/w-d-xo.htmlsi=vgPi1OhmP321lOZE
How about samsung @@beardfm
cant stand companies that blatantly lie
The Qi2 part is especially heinous
It probably means that Qi EPP's 15W profile (for android devices) can be output. Maybe Momax isn't lying. It's very confusing and annoying though.
The Qi2 part is particularly misleading I think, though. Still a nice looking battery 👀
Suggest a wireless battery pack for S24
Just need Samsung to send me one…
Suggest the brand for Samsung S series phone
Interesting that this charger is no longer available on Amazon…
I saw that 👀

it supports qi2 deivce. but their battery bank is only qi1
Thanks for sharing: helpful information. Blessings on your day.
Appreciate it!

Where would you check that?
Does it 15w wireless on android devices?
It's possible with Qi 1.2 spec, but Momax doesn't specify and one Android user here in the comments tried with their S22+ and it did not seem to provide faster charging.
Yes I think is due to apple mfi only can charge slow, android charge 15w without issue. This does not have mfi
Thanks, almost buying it lol
I have the anker with QI 2, best buy ever
Love mine!
I was half expecting you to pull out an IR temperature gun for a second there
Oh I may need to get one of those...
OK but that Lying 15w charging
But is this definitely 5000 Mah
Can u confirm that also
Thanks for the Video
I would buy a Momax battery pack if it wasn’t wireless. The design is nice
Love the design for sure!
Podcast is great
Appreciate it!
i wonder if the 15W wireless charging is for Android and they just aren't clear on their marketing.
It's possible, although one Android user here in the comments tried this pack and didn't get the faster charging. Qi2 is false either way.
thanks for this video! :)
Welcome!
finally, please shout out these companies who lies to your face
I cant believe that I just waste my money to buy it, that was really bad experience!!!
I’m abt to buy cuz i saw that everyday on fb
You should turn off screen to get faster charge. Your test was not accurate
Well... I was about to order one hmm 🤔
this one is not qi2. its slow and hot
Agreed
Loved this video

Woah that's pretty far down! Do you charge twice a day?
@@beardfm yeah generally, I use my phone a lot so can't blame anything else, even at work I use it quite a bit lol.. and that's even with optimized battery charging on (but not the 80% limit option)
How’s belkin?
They don't have Qi2 battery packs out for sale yet, but they should be coming soon and I'll be reviewing!
Hank Valley
