The guy ahead of the screed with the rake is totally important to allowing a proper screed. Not enough credit given these guys. He ensures the screed enough mud without holes or mounds. Good job!

Thats the most skilled and hardest thing to learn . But mostly ive seen people assume the guy finishing behind as the main man

Disregard the negative comments buddy. This video demonstrates just how different concrete guys in Australia are compared to everyone else around the world. I’m very jealous that you have the time to pace yourselves because here in America, two guys on a magnesium 2x4 race each other to the end. Each pull is a step back and a typical day in Detroit Michigan includes striking anywhere from 5000 to 20,000 square feet off by hand. Anything more is typically done with a laser screed. Stay safe brother.

Bro this is awesome video it is long but when paying attention and looking carefully at how you move a screed especially when pulling a sludge and levelling it off, it is a repetitive basic movement. It is easy to follow. I have no experience at all in this trade but I am DIY guy and I like this video. Bro please are you able to make a short video explaining the part of a screed rail and which edge and direction that makes the concrete smooth. Just please explain more in detail. Thanks Bro

Half the work of concrete screeding is in what I call "quantity". It starts with the guy on the chute/pump, then the guy on the vibrator, then the guy on the rake, then the guy on the screed. If the guy on the chute/pump puts the correct quantity in, the whole screed bay is easy. The vibrator man can control it a bit with the vibrator and tells the pumpy more or less. Then the guy on the rake has to move the crete if there's too much or not enough, then the screeder after the rake. It's a team game concreting, that's why is a lot harder if you are a DIYer or doing it on your own. Either no one knows what they're meant to be doing, or you have to do everything yourself.

lol.... only pulling your leg mate, been watching your videos for hours, quality work, like your style, had a contractor argue with me saying you can only lay concrete in bays 2 metres by 1 metre because its impossible to reach with your trowel, what a muppet obviously he's never seen you and your team in action. hi 5 from London uk.
