I got one of these a month ago with some AAA batteries for my electric toothbrush. Since I got an 8 pack with my order, I hadn't tested out the charger itself until recently, and I haven't been able to get it to work correctly. The batteries themselves don't click into place when I put them into the correct slots, so they shuffle around and I think that is why they're not charging at all. (I know the device itself does work because the lights come on when I plug it into an outlet, but not when I put the batteries into the slots.)
I contacted EBL support for help and they sent me another charger. Same issue. The only thing I have noticed that could be an issue is that the batteries I have are AAA at 800 mAh whereas the ones shown here are 1100 mAh. (That's the only thing I can think of, but that would be silly since I bought the 800 mAh AAA batteries WITH the EBL charger together.)

My EBL charger has a "discharge" button. I don't understand what this is for ? I also charge batteries overnight, and they say fully charged, but if I take them out, and put them back in, they only show one bar charged ? Very confused.

As I understand it, charging and discharging the batteries helps keep their capacity high.
I have also noticed that batteries that are fully charged also start to charge for a little while if you stop charging.

I have the same charger but my lights are red when charging and turn orange later. Never goes to green.

Do you know if the charger will charge solar rechargeable batteries?

My solar batteries are nicam and it charged them O. K. You need to check the charger is compatible with the type of batteries you have.
