I want to buy a Power Drive from your website. I want to buy the upgrades all at the sametime. Ya'll only sell the Pwr Drv. Version 2 ..correct? I don't want to buy the wrong I pilot upgrade kit. Please advise and thank u.
Nice video, is there anything that we can do to fix the turning when it go.s out on the power drive. minn kota no longer sells the control board for that.
Hey man, I bought a conversion kit for my V2 about a year ago and everything worked great. I just got a bigger boat and when I first hooked it up it worked just fine until the motor went out and it wouldn’t turn. I replaced the motor but now the spot lock doesn’t work and the navigation doesn’t work. It’s like it’s not picking up GPS or something whenever I hit spot lock the motor just turned all the way up to 10 on its own and just kind of goes in circles or just turns off to one Direction. Whenever I use the navigation, it just doesn’t stay on point. I read a lot of stuff about battery power. Not sure if my battery load is not sufficient or what but the battery charges up all the way and everything else works with it. The remote seems to work just fine as well. Do you have any thoughts or have you seen this before? All the mechanical and electrical parts on the motor are pretty new so I’m at a loss. Thanks, Chris
Did you ever get that resolved? Mine was doing the same thing. My power seemed good and was reading fine all through the system but I never solved the issue before the end of the season
I’ve sent a couple emails w questions regarding this specific unit. I would like to talk to someone before I dropped a grand .. is this possible either by phone, chat or email.
I just bought a v2 and it already has a wire going thru the insert plug already so what does that mean cause looking at ur video it dont have that wire?
Great Video! I have a question that you may or may not have the answer to. I have a PowerDrive V2 that I installed the original iPilot system on maybe 5 years ago now. Everything works really well, except for the spotlock is not as tuned as I want it to be. I seem to move about 50-75 feet either direction from when I hit spotlock. Is this just because of the original version of the spotlock does not have that bluetooth GPS Puck, or is there something else I can do to have a more accurate spot lock. Thanks!
The Non Bluetooth I-Pilot Legacy models had issues with that. Unfortunately, Converting your motor to Bluetooth would be the only way to improve the drifting and overcorrecting. The I-Pilot Bluetooth models are quite a bit more accurate and also allow you to adjust the sensitivity.
A 2019 Powerdrive Model will already have Bluetooth, so you would just need the 2774155 Upgrade Kit to add I-Pilot. trollingmotorparts.com/minn-kota-powerdrive-i-pilot-upgrade-kit-bluetooth/
@@trollingmotorparts really huh? It’s not stated on the head unit. How odd. Well I bought this thing used so lord knows what the heck I have looking forward to chatting with you sometimes on this subject. Very eager to upgrade my system.
Hello! I sent you an email. I am looking to get spot lock, main and only reason. I was looking at just outright selling my power drive v2 but I saw this. Now will spot lock work decently with my unit with this conversion kit? Or am I better off selling and upgrading to a whole newer system? If I can save money I’d rather do that by buying this
Adding this kit to a Powerdrive V2 will make your motor the same as the new Powerdrive Bluetooth. The lower unit, steering motor, control board, etc. are the same on both models. You can add I-Pilot and save a lot of money with this kit.
@@trollingmotorparts thank you. I ordered the Bluetooth upgrade for my v2 from your website. Can't wait to get it installed and stop trying to drive the boat and start fishing
I was about to buy A new terrova. I currently have this V2. I will this be able to function the same as terrova? So no more foot pedal also? Thanks guys!
Adding this kit to your PowerDrive V2 will give you all of the same I-Pilot functions that a new Terrova would have. The difference is the Terrova has the ability to use both the foot pedal and the remote. The PowerDrive will only use the I-Pilot remote.
@@trollingmotorparts I have a few more questions I just was on the website I didn’t see your phone number is there anyway I can get in contact with you guys.. thanks again
I have a saltwater minn kota the I pilot ilink it's the non blue tooth will this work on it or do you have a kit for it I would like to upgrade because I have the one with the big remote 1866405 non blue tooth and they discontinued that too. so now I have no way of using this motor
Brand new Powerdrive 55 lb 12v installed on a new boat from the dealer. I would presume it's a 2022 model. This V2 stuff has me confused. This one above has a side/side foot pedal only. No remotes. Which upgrade model will work, if any?
Mine just arrived today. Extremely fast shipping. Looking forward to installing, and testing this weekend.
Thanks for this video. Super easy installation due to this instruction.
Great video directions well explained. Just installed mine today
does the spot lock work well?
Is this still available today, and do you ship to Canada, if so, how much is it approximately? Thanks
Is there a conversion kit for a standard Minn Kota Powerdrive 55lb, 54 "shaft model manufactured in 2018?
I have a Power Drive V2 model 1358704, Built 2016. Can you tell me what kit I need ? Thank you Rick
Will I lose the ability to use the foot pedal with this? Or is it as simple as unplugging the ipilot plug and plugging in the foot pedal?
yup thats the only thing suck but the remote work just as good
Would i be able to splice the wires together to be able to use the foot pedal incase the remote dies?
Hey guys question for ya do you ship those set ups to Canada
Can you add the gps heading sensor to this conversion kit or is it necessary? Thanks
Was looking to order this kit however was wondering if you ship to canada

I have a 2007 power drive v2, is the Bluetooth upgrade compatible with it? Thanks…
pretty sure its only 2017 and up
If someone bought a powerdrive 45 that has Bluetooth is it similar to i-pilot only with a phone?
I wonder the same thing. "Do I need ipilot if I have bluetooth" because if not that sure saves some money

If I already have copilot can I just change the head or do I need the whole control board as well?
If I was to order this today the 6th of April how soon would it get shipped to Wisconsin? Thanks for the vid and product. will be a great upgrade!
Would this kit work with a new Powerdrive without ipilot or Bluetooth? The model for the new one is 1358733
Does this same kit work with both 12volt and 24volt power drive V2?
Yes, it’s the same kit for both 12 and 24 volt models.

What year was your PowerDrive manufactured? Do you have a Serial Number?
Does this kit have the jog mode where you can bump up 5 feet while holding on spot lock?
You would also need to add a Heading Sensor to have the jog feature.

Cant you just jog it manually still?
Just ordered 1

One of the features enabled with this kit is Advanced AutoPilot. This will maintain your heading and automatically compensate for wind and current.
