Champions Wrapped 2024 Encounter: Apocalypse - I enjoyed all 5 scenarios, but this one just slightly wins for having a more original structure. Expert Unus is my new favourite deck tester, though Mod Set: Blue Moon - Beats out the other environment mod sets for having my favourite theme and the Gladiator minion Archetype: Minion Summoning - Big wins for both Leadership and Protection this year Ally: Triage - Flexible and cheap ally offering sustain for squishier X-Men. Honorary mention to M who very nearly topped the ranking for me Leadership Card: Noble Sacrifice - a card offering flexibility and options for how you utilise your allies, especially for scenarios that discourage chump blocking Aggression Card: Suppressing Fire - Works in many different Aggression archetypes and offers a bit of sustain for doing what Aggression does best Justice Card: Gunboat Diplomacy - And it isn't even close Protection Card: Come get me, Bub - Not perfect in all situations, but a card that makes Green more viable for many heroes (including Thor) Hero Card: Energy Conversion/ Magnetic Bubble/ Ice Wall/ Tally Ho/ Magic Barrier - This was the year of the amazing defensive cards. Any one of these could take it, because they are all so great and I play them whenever I can Hero: Iceman - I have loved every hero this year (except Jubilee, who i still like), but Iceman is the most unique and consistently fun to me. He excited me the most on being revealed too, so I was hyped when he finally arrived after the UK delay
The promise of Nightcrawler was what got me into the game, so he's my highlight of the year. Not everyone agrees but like Nightcrawler, I can lean to forgive.
Solid choice with Iceman, once you figure him out he is super fun to play and can be very strong. He’s my favorite marvel hero and main reason why I got interested in marvel champions this year. Keep up the great content and iceman support haha
I struggle between Nightcrawler and Iceman being my favorite hero if this year. Nightcrawler is my favorite x-men but iceman was super fun to build around.
Gunboat Diplomacy is sooo good! I use it so much that I feel bad. It needs some setup, but it's well worth it. My favorite hero is Magik from this wave. She's very reliable, consistent and strong. I do really really like all 6 new heroes though. Such an amazing wave imo.
Gunboat Diplomacy is indeed awesome. I want to try Gamora + Children of the Atom + X-allies since this will allow Gamora to do additional damage/thwarting with Gunboat. With that said, if we hadn't received Gunboat, I'd have picked Three Steps Ahead. It's like Crisis Averted, and even though it has a condition, the fact that you can choose different schemes pays off (especially in multiplayer where you are more likely to have more side schemes in play). Great video. Here's to closing out MC in 2024!
Iceman is a lot of fun! I had a great time with my friends playing through Mojomania with Iceman, Jubilee and Cyclops. It's been a good year for Marvel champions!
I really enjoyed all the encounters, but I think El Saba Nur takes it for me. He is not nearly as fun solo, but in our 3 player games he is super dynamic in a unique way. He just doesn't do the same thing in solo unfortunately, and it would probably be too unforgiving if he did. My favorite hero was definitely Bishop, who I like a lot. I agree with all your aspect picks, except for maybe Sidekick. Squared off, Suit Up and Noble Sacrifice are in the running for me, but I'd have to really think about it. Gun Boat is better with more decka. We ran Mutant Mayhem, Serve and Protect and Gun Boat in our 3 player group, and it works really well.
I said to my son yesterday that I am looking forward for Christmas to play some marvel champions again, last champion we played was angel actually, bunch of stuff we sill need to test out, it is going to be great. That video increased my motivation drastically.
My aspect card picks are very similar. Tho for Justice, I really like Three Steps Ahead because it enables a multi instance thwart deck with Multitasking, passion for Justice, and operative skill. But definitely more of a MP deck.
Oh man, Nelson’s annual review is a highlight for sure. Favorite hero? Probably Nightcrawler. Bishop is a close second. Favorite archetype? Definitely the minion-summoning stuff got a big boost with come get me bub and squared off. Favorite mod set? I love hellfire and crazy gang!
Hope you all had a wonderful year!

I could not believe your favorite hero for 2024!!! He is my favorite hero too!!! 👍

I really want to put together a sidekick deck with X-23 and Honeybadger!

The Magneto deck made blue Thor pretty awesome. Squared off + Face the Past, heck yeah.

Haha, I really don't like Iceman :p
I really like Jubilee's design/archetype even though most people seem to not like her ^^
Sidekick, RIP Groot.
