For some reason, I’ve had such a brain block trying to learn this game. I’ve read the manual and watched many videos and this is the one that finally clicked for me; mainly because you go out of your way to point out why things are and why other things can’t be. THANK YOU 🙏
So happy to see this new video! I haven't played MC in over a year and I have been thinking about pulling it out but I knew I would have to relearn--now it's no problem! Thanks for the video, I found your link in the facebook MC group.
Thanks for the great video. I appreciate your hard work in showing not only the turn phases summaries, but also circling very clearly where to find each symbol or keyword you were explaining. Made it very easy to follow you. Happy to like and subscribe. Hope your channel grows fast.
Thanks a lot! I appreciate that :) That was a big problem for me when i started playing this game, not being able to find the symbol or keyword that was referred to so I’m really glad this helped. Welcome to the channel!!
I recognized this shuffle technique immediately when I saw you play in a 3 player match. Good video to learn the game. A game that will keep going on for the forseeable future 🥳
I have to say thank you so much for this video. This video broke down the game much better for me than any other video plus the rule book. You have to do more of these with different hero’s and villains you do an amazing job explaining things!
If there are any new players reading this. Remember an "interrupt" trigger happens BEFORE the listed condition. And a "Response" trigger happens AFTER the listed condition.

Thanks! The first encounter card that encounter phase was the Stampede which triggered Spider-Sense causing Spider-Man to deck out and get dealt a second encounter card which was the Charge

Thank you both, I ended up going with gamegenic because they were a little cheaper and my local card shop had just enough to cover all the cards for play tonight. Had a blast and felt way better knowing they were all protected from the start. Thanks again! 😊
Great video. Very informative, and you moved through the phases at a good pace for people to follow along with. An unrelated question: Where did you get the fancy hero card? Thanks!
Since it is an interrupt, can great responsibility prevent you from losing during step 1 of the villain phase - If there were 6 threat on the main scheme and 1 threat “would be placed”-

2:43 I think this is wrong. You do HAVE to put one modular encounter set. It doesn't have to be Bomb Scare, but the encounter deck still needs one set. Bomb Scare just happens to be the set the designers reccomend for the Rhino scenario. Am I wrong?
When a modular set is required it’ll say in the contents “One Modular Encounter Set (Down to Earth)” for example. Mojomania’s Magog also requires a modular set but not a specific one. It’s setup also says “One Modular Encounter Set” then specifies (a random mojo set)
Thank you so much for this video! My wife and I used to play this all the time, and then we had to stop for a few months. We tried playing last night and were confused about what to do. We completely forgot to deal with the face-down booster cad each time and forgot that after you beat the first phase, there's a second phase, lol. Not only that, but we beat level 1 Rhino and were like, wow, that was extremely easy. This can't be right, lol. Question: You were able to thwart the side scheme Breakin & Takin, does that mean the hazard is gone as well? So if Rhino lived and attacked he'd get the normal 1 face-down booster, but after that he'd get 2 encounter cards correct? Or since the side scheme was beat he'd get the normal one face-down booster and 1 encounter card after that?
Really glad this helped out! I’ve definitely made those same mistakes before when i first started 😂 In regards to Breakin’ and Takin’ and its hazard icon, if Rhino lived he would attack as normal with his boost card, then when we deal encounter cards we would check for any hazards in play, and since there is one Rhino would deal 2 encounter cards
I’m confused on what to do with the nemesis cards. The instructions say to put them out of play but I don’t see how they integrate with the game. (Playing spiderman vs rhino)
You’re correct that they are set out of play. There are certain encounter cards that bring them in. In the core set, from the Standard I modular set, there’s a card called “Shadow of the Past.” When this encounter card is revealed, the player who revealed it grabs their set aside nemesis minion and puts it into play
you might want to try slowing down your speech a little bit and being a little more clear and precise. I'm sure what you are saying is worth listening to but it's rather difficult to understand at times. Good effort.
First off, great video! Question: At roughly 33 minutes in during the deal encounter cards step of the villain phase. Shouldn't the encounter cards be revealed in the order in which they were dealt, meaning Charge would have been attached to Rhino before Stampede was revealed and resolved (Because Charge was dealt when your deck was emptied)?
Thank you :) There’s a couple of different layers to your question-the rulings state that the player may choose to reveal encounter cards in order that they choose, though most players including myself try to reveal them in the order they are dealt. In regards to this game, Stampede was actually the first and only encounter card that was dealt during the “dealing of encounter cards.” The next step in turn villain phase is to reveal all the encounter cards that are dealt, with stampede being the only facedown card. So stampede is revealed, then Rhino initiates an attack, triggers Spider-Sense, i deck out, i deal myself another facedown card (Charge), then complete the resolution of stampede. Then, since I’m still in the step where I’m revealing encounter cards, and there happens to still have facedown encounter cards in front of me to reveal, i must keep on revealing so then i reveal the charge. I’m not sure if i did the best job of explaining that but hopefully it makes sense. If it doesn’t lmk!
@@webwarriorfanaticmy apologies I must have been sidetracked and missed the timing. I was under the impression that you decked out during his initial attack and drew the encounter card stampede after drawing the encounter card for decking out. But the rules do state that each player reveals each of their encounter cards in the order in which they were dealt. Which you obviously did
@@wkumher No worries! Totally understandable. For the order of encounter cards, this is the most updated ruling I've seen from the developers: "The order you reveal encounter cards does not matter.
