Alright this one is going into my file of offbeat Christmas songs, right up there with Dead Christmas by Monster Magnet and Red Water(Christmas Mourning)by Type O Negative. An instant depressing Christmas classic. 😊👍
@Prgrssvmind I feel like a fangirl ahaha, I can't believe it. You sir, are a top drummer, a great musician, and a cool guy for replying to this nobody on TH-cam. I'm loving this new face of one of the most important people in Metal. I am surprised and excited.
As someone who was wholly into the scene back in the 80s - Dave and the rest of the Slayer guys partied at my house in Portland, OR bitd (as well as Ipecac's/Mr. Bungle's Mike Patton - I used to live with Marko and John Duffy from Werhmacht/Spazzti Blurr) - but has now been redeemed by Christ, and knowing a very small bit of Dave's "spiritual" background, this song feels as though the "Imago Dei" in Dave and Paula is clawing its way toward the surface.
WINTER TAIL HAIL short story from FINLAND - It was rainy midsummer ILOSAARIROCK 2000 festive very near to FI-RU bordercity JOENSUU with FANTOMAS giving their salute for us mere mortals - I was working as stage tech and going off-road with my minivan full of usual gear and shit - yet that particular day I had priviledge of MY LIFE to casually haul all of FANTOMAS gear next to stage and load it all off with Sir Lombardo and Sir Patton - just casual talkin´ "Yo Mika (my name) where this go?" "Oh take it there" - story in short - one moment I cherish forever is as I am offering Daves second double kick drum from that beat up backstage minivan for both Dave and Mike and they together carry it onto stage while I watch it go like they be my workers - beautiful visual still in my deep memory - SO - THIS STORY TO YOU DAVE - share it someday for Mikeanos maybe \\,,// PEACE LOVE

Listening to the Ipecac-holiday playlist for days. This is one of my favourites, it's perfect.
Beautiful magical dreamy song.
Wow this is beautiful. Their other songs are also amazing and the lyrics have depth and meaning. Mesmerizing.

Like 87, I was a sophomore in '87. Holy shiz, and high as HELL
Wow so pretty. A bit of Portishead vibe if you don’t mind the compliment
