Unfortunately I feel as though it’s gone down hill so much over the last several years. It’s just not what it used to be. That being said, I think if you’re staying at MGM and have the MyVEGAS reward- it’s worth it.

Ok everyone…My Vegas trip was completed by seeing none other than Travel Ruby and Mr. Ruby down on Fremont street on Thursday night. Yes, my wife and I went up to her and told her how much we love her show and enjoy her advice. She was super nice. When I first saw her, I said to my wife, OMG, that is Travel Ruby…My wife said, it cannot be…No, no it is her!!! I must admit, I felt weird at being so excited seeing her on Fremont after watching so many of her videos. We love the video content, length, and honest reviews and meeting you made the end of our trip great…John and Erika from Ohio.
Not too impressed with this buffet. I saw spilled over food left on the counter. Looks like they don’t really clean too well. The food looks really generic. Basic. Below basic. Hmmm…….. I guess you get what you pay for. Especially now in Vegas with their high prices.
This buffet was absolutely Terrible quality the last time we were there in Spring 2022..even WITH the MyVegas coupon, we vowed Never to go there again!

You get what you pay for. Buy 1 Get 1 would barely make it worth it. That buffett is garbage. Spend a little more or go to a non buffet brunch. Appreciate the honest review!

I agree. $28 for a buffet is nothing these days in Vegas. BTW, Five Guys has to be the most overrated burger joint in America. Go to In-N-Out or the Shake Shack!
I had this buffet a couple of years ago and it wasn't great. To me it was on the level of a Golden Corral buffet at a Vegas price. I'm going to Vegas in a couple of weeks and I can get a BOGO thru My Vegas, so I'm thinking of going again. Price will be right and it's filling. Nothing fancy, but it's not $100 per like the top buffets.
I ate at this buffet multiple times last year and it wasn't that good😕😕😕 perhaps it's improved some what since then but who knows😒😒😒 anyway the Excalibur and Luxor buffets are of the same caliber I tried both of those as well and it wasn't anything to write home about either it's sad really twenty plus years ago MGM was top of line when it came to the buffet but now no way😒😒😒 thanks for the video ruby we'll catch you on the next one.😋😋😋
I know for many tourists who are new to Vegas, the reviews of buffets and eateries at the casinos will always be welcome. But for those who are ready and willing to venture off strip via Uber or rental, I think reviews of great off-strip places will really do well too! Prices are more reasonable with less waits (sometimes, I've seen lines out the door for ayce sushi places).
I hear that, but most people who come to Vegas it seems don't venture off the strip unless it's to the dam or one of the local parks. Having friends who live in vegas I totally agree, some of the best food spots are not on the strip...
I normally love Ruby’s vids but am pretty PO as had to endure 7 adverts during the 20min vid come on your tube this takes the P and puts people off watching … 😢
Seems to all be Fatty foods and spicy food . Portions are way too big for me. I would like to see healthier food like fruit and porridge or the equivalent of the Australian Weet-Bix that has no sugar. Sodas are 9 tea spoons of sugar each glass. $10.00 USD equals $15,70 AUD atm . Where are the salads and /.or veges ? Oh wait up, the brussel sprouts look good and the shushi rice should be brown not white. Brown pasta is good. I never eat sweets. Overall a Diabetes nightmare . nuts are healthy . I like olives too. Thanks for sharing
Great video. Y'all ever consider ranking/summarizing the buffets you've had? It seems there's fewer in town, so I would expect a top 10 list would probably have them all. Could do a 'best overall', 'best value', etc. - Keep up the great work.

Moat buffets with an omelet station will make you scrambeled eggs to order which is always the better choice over the buffet scrambeled eggs. also i noticed the meats they give you smaller portions when you ask for them when the carbs- pancakes/biscuits/waffles are more accessible. this is intentional to get guests filled up on the carbs which is cheaper than the meats. hence when i buffett i usually skip the breads and go back to the carving station to get my moneys worth. btw i looove your videos!
The food didn't look that great. My favorite buffet ever was in Pompano Beach FL at the casino there. They had a sushi chef making the sushi right in front of you, and they had Peking Duck, as well as other more high-end items. Unfortunately, it looks like Harrah's took them over and got rid of the Buffet.
Yes that was the old Isle casino my friend. I really miss their buffet as well used to be called "Farmers Pick". The sides they had were incredible and the prime rib on the carving station was still to this day the best I've had at a buffet. They had a great Chinese food selection as well. Yeah harrahs got rid of it which was a shame.
The corned beef hash, waffles, three types of sausages, omelets, and good coffee would definitely make it worth 20 dollars. In my opinion, good quality corned beef hash can be a little expensive in diners.
@TravelRuby Got in Sunday for a week in Vegas. Just had lunch at MGM Grand buffet and was not impressed. My favorite thing was the NSA chocolate cake! 😅
I just don’t understand the appeal of buffets like this. Unless you pay for the good ones and can load up on good crab and shrimp then it’s just basic cheap food sat out under heat lamps getting gross. Surely it’s better to just go to a Mexican place for tacos or go for a decent pizza, or if you want meat then go get a steak dinner? It always just looks like huge trays of really sad food.
Thanks for the overview. I adore brussels sprouts too. I do love well-made veggies... and sushi.. and cookies... maybe not all at once LOL. Ruby, I just came back from my first time to Vegas with my husband! I was so excited to go the places you’ve mentioned in many of your videos. The only thing I disagree with was that I quite enjoyed the pool at planet Hollywood lol But everything you talked about was such a blast to me and I just want to say thank you! And you would laugh at me trying to find blondies in miracle mile shops. We went in a giant circle we were so lost haha. The Cesar’s pool WAS cold 😂 I can’t wait to go back but I am truly thankful for the knowledge bc I felt at home and not a tourist when I arrived. I think I stunned my husband with all the knowledge. I don’t think he could keep up.

I was in Vegas this week and I did visit the MGM Buffet. It was inexpensive compared to others and I did use some comps to cover part of the meal. I would come back to eat because it served it's purpose and I also enjoyed the omelet, cornbeef hash, ice cream and donut😂😊
I’m an old guy and remember when MGM was THE place in the 80’s. That food looks pretty bad compared to some of the others you have reviewed. Who needs rubbery scrambled eggs? Thanks for the review!😊
For some reason, most places do a lousy job on the scrambled eggs. I have to suffer thru them because I don't like eggs any other way than scrambled. Disappointing.

We do ketchup salt and pepper on the breakfast potatoes in Canada. Yummy. Must be Heinz Ketchup. One thing I know is Heinz Ketchup in America and Heinz Ketchup in Canada are not even close to the same
I stayed at mgm last month and ate at this buffet. The fact that you said the burrito was good, made me stop the video and stop listening to your reviews. The food at this buffet is hot garbage. Not unlike eating at the old chain called Country Buffet.

Yes..with a B1G1 deal. There are loads of breakfast deals more in tune with what a woman's appetite is. But I would splurge here because it's cheap and the multitude of options make it worth it. Hi from Wisconsin 🍺
I tried chicken fried steak and country grave at The Orleans buffet once. I’ve been addicted ever since. We don’t have that in the UK where I live or Oz where I’m from, so every trip to the US, I make sure I have it. Delicious!

😊 I have eaten at that MGM buffet in all the decades of its existence since 1995. Was probably Better pre covid but as buffets go post covid I like it maybe better than the Excalibur and Luxor buffets. Get the My Vegas BOGO and its a winner.
Buffet @ breakfast for $30.00? (Each without the bump?) (Dennys down the road has the same.) All that bread? Grease for days much? either you're throwing away the food or you're a bottomless pit, either way, egads.
Its been probably 17 years since i last went there. And it doesn't look like much has changed. But the food looks to have gone downhill a bit. Food options was more, and good quality, especially for the price which doesn't look like it's changed either (with inflation adjustment). Self serve drinks looks new...but again, consider its been nearly 2 decades for me.
Good review! I have to agree with you on most of the food. There was a really good Achiote pork chop when we went. I was also hoping for some steak on the buffet.

Being that a Five Guys meal is over $20 now (I literally walked out of the store), I'd say this was the steal of the century.

Compared with the price of meals you pay at restaurants these days, paying $28 for all you can eat sounds like a reasonable price.
I ate there this past January. Absolutely the worst buffet I have been to. Luxor buffet is leaps and bounds better.

B level buffet-The best value is the Bogo coupon that’s available, as Ruby said. Otherwise it’s not worth the $28

I stayed at mgm last month and ate at this buffet. The fact that you said the burrito was good, made me stop the video and stop listening to your reviews. The food at this buffet is hot garbage. Not unlike eating at the old chain called Country Buffet.
I didn't like the fact that when I went there was no salad bar.
I love the way you educate and review. I would eat food I hate (beets, lamb, etc.) just because you said they were excellent.

Yes..with a B1G1 deal. There are loads of breakfast deals more in tune with what a woman's appetite is. But I would splurge here because it's cheap and the multitude of options make it worth it. Hi from Wisconsin 🍺

I tried chicken fried steak and country grave at The Orleans buffet once. I’ve been addicted ever since. We don’t have that in the UK where I live or Oz where I’m from, so every trip to the US, I make sure I have it. Delicious!

Better pre covid but as buffets go post covid I like it maybe better than the Excalibur and Luxor buffets. Get the My Vegas BOGO and its a winner.
Agreed. Especially the Luxor buffet - it's not very good. I'm a big fan of the Luxor, but not for the buffet.

Buffet @ breakfast for $30.00? (Each without the bump?) (Dennys down the road has the same.) All that bread? Grease for days much? either you're throwing away the food or you're a bottomless pit, either way, egads.
Its been probably 17 years since i last went there. And it doesn't look like much has changed. But the food looks to have gone downhill a bit. Food options was more, and good quality, especially for the price which doesn't look like it's changed either (with inflation adjustment). Self serve drinks looks new...but again, consider its been nearly 2 decades for me.
Good review! I have to agree with you on most of the food. There was a really good Achiote pork chop when we went. I was also hoping for some steak on the buffet.
