    Great honest review guys. I think personally that the Garmin integrates much better as a whole the information to set you on development track I’d say as an athlete.

    I use my Coros purely for setting up my training plans and I can see my up coming fitness and don't need to subscribe to training peaks. Saying that I also just updated my 933 and expect delivery of my 955 because I like how garmin running workouts give an average lap pace rather than your current pace and for the health metrics.

      If you could only buy one watch like me would it be this Coros or the Garmin 955.

      @@taylorfitzpatrick4618 it would be a Garmin in the end. Probably FR265 because I don't need the mapping.

    Thanks, a great re- and interview with you both.. 👍 One question:
    When i choose "Workouts" mode:
    Have you experience with the coros tracking for example push ups or Barbell squats, pull - ups e.t.c... Does the watch fairly accurately register the reps on the exercise Sets? Thank you, good evening

    Coros Apex 2 Pro is the only watch that uses doppler effect speed that is certified for upload to GPS-speedsurfing ... different needs for different sports

    Has anybody heard rumors about a new Coros version coming out any time soon? I am hopeful that it will access music apps like Spotify. It’s what’s holding me back from getting one.

      Thanks. On the Epix I (Nick) have a nylon band off eBay, few cheap options on there if you search for 'nylon garmin epix band' or similar!

    I had a fenix 7x which the GPS trace was amazing BUT the overall distance in every event I did was too long. Every parkrun, every race I just had more distance than everyone else. Currently back on a fenix 6x but considering the switch to the coros

    • @clitaiulian4497
      @clitaiulian4497 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      That’s odd. I have a FR 255 and a Vertix 2. The 255 has basically the same chipset as the Fenix 7X and it always records more distance than the Vertix 2. I ran an officially measured loop 3 times and the 255 nailed it whereas the Vertix 2 was a bit behind. But both were very consistent, giving the same distance for every pass. Now, judging by this, it seems that the 255 is a bit more accurate. But, I went on a mountain hike, and, at some point, I decided to take a quick 5 min break. When I put myself into motion, I noticed that, while I was sitting, the 255 already added 30 meters to the distance although I was still the whole time. The Vertix 2 didn’t do that. This makes me wonder if Garmin isn’t adding unnecessary distance. In the end, I don’t give a damn about how pretty a track is, I care about the final measured distance, that’s important to me. I really don’t know which watch to trust tbh.

      @@clitaiulian4497 I agree, the fenix 7x for me was consistently too long when running measured events and comparing to the other runners distance. I'm using a Coros Apex now but will upgrade to a better coros when I have a bit more money 👍

    Appreciate the review gents, great insight. If you ignore price, what would be your recommendation if the most important features are GPS accuracy, heart rate accuracy and maps/navigation? I would use the watch purely for running, no other sports and was considering the Fenix 7. I know you guys are big fans of the Forerunner 955, but what do you think best ticks those aforementioned boxes between the 955, Fenix 7 and Epix 2, ignoring price difference?

    • @TheRunTesters
      @TheRunTesters  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Hi Jim. All three of the Fenix 7, Epix 2 and FR955 are really excellent on GPS and maps, 955 probably the best on HR for me (Nick), but would probably still use a chest strap if using the training analysis. 955 cheapest, Epix screen is sensational for maps but big battery cost (and only the sapphire one has multi-band GPS). Fenix has the battery life, Epix and Fenix nicer materials than 955, but latter is lighter. All great, really depends on priority of look, weight, battery and price I’d say

      @@TheRunTesters this is great, thanks Nick! I only just learned about the multi band GPS from watching your channel so appreciate that. Does the Fenix 7 also have this, or just the Epix?

    • @TheRunTesters
      @TheRunTesters  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      No problem! The Fenix 7 has it too, but off top of my head I think it’s only sapphire versions, like the Epix. 955 has it on all models

    Does it have speaker and mic for Bluetooth calls? Also from what I hear across the board, apex 2 pro should have been priced around 399 USD or less.

    Being 70m out doesn't seem great at this price? My mi fit bad that was 30 quid tracked my york marathon as 26.19 miles, feel like accuracy on watches shouldn't be dismissed considering it was about as easy to track as its going to be

    GPS works spot on when you run in a straight line with no buildings around it.🤡
