    As usual- another quality review, Des! All the important questions answered, but still concise and snappy! For my use, the new features aren’t worth the upgrade from the Pace 2, although the HRV functions are appealing. Thanks!

    I love that Coros is stepping in the right direction, but I am kinda put off by the price of the Apex 2. I was hoping for it to be $350 especially since it doesn't have Multiband GPS but I understand why it's $400

    Thank you for the great review. If I am interested in doing sports in the gym, walking, gymnastics, workout, will this watch be suitable for these purposes? From your video I understood that they are quite accurate and not much inferior to Garmin watches in terms of heart rate and oxygen sensors. Or will the Fenix 7 PRO be more accurate for my purposes?

    Great video! I have a question: Coros Apex 2 VS Garmin Venu 3? Im looking at both of these and cant decide! Which one of these two have better heart rate accuracy and better GPS? Does the Venu 3 even have maps at all?? Any feedback would be really appricated!

      Go for the Coros Apex 2. Venu doesn't even have navigation.

    Thanks Des, Enjoyed your review. I am an Apex Pro and Vertix user. I would be interested in knowing how the Apex 2 Pro GPS accuracy compares to the original Apex Pro. That sort of determines whether I upgrade. I use a Polar HR strap since my Apex Pro wrist HR is mostly crap. But I have found the Apex Pro GPS accuracy to be pretty darn good in Oregon. So I would be curious to see if the new chips set is better. All the best.

      A Chinese blogger compared the hear rate accuracy of Garmin 955 (use Garmin HR strap) and Apex 2 pro. The result shows that the average heart rate and maximum heart rate were the same.

    How is the new screen with the fonts and the sapphire glass? I have the pace 2 and it’s very easy to see. I found the original apex pro to be a bit hard to read in certain conditions. Is that Apex pro 2 screen better and easier to read vs the Original apex pro?

    nice explanation bro.
    but can you help me to choose between garmin instinct 2 solar or coros apex 2, most of my activities are hiking, bikepacking and bike touring. what I'm looking for is solid hardware and software, GPS accuracy and battery life.
    one side garmin offers solar power and power manager but don't like the screen and coros has ok hardware but one side on the software side there is something lacking in my opinion

    should I buy the apex 2 or get the old apex pro at a discount. From the review besides the new heart rate sensor and music i cannot seem to find any significant upgrade. My concern remains whether the apex pro will get outdated with no software updates . What do you advice.

    • @mikem4215
      @mikem4215 ปีที่แล้ว

      Apex pro “should” continue to get firmware updates as long as storage space is available. Have an apex pro as well and waiting it out pending when they stop the updates.

      Also considering Suunto 9 Peak Pro which is very thin watch with superb battery life and clean interface. Think the only negative I can think of is the less brighter screen. Apex 2, Apple Ultra are thick watches so I wouldnt be comfortable with those.

    Dommage que l'on n'ai pas le choix d'avoir un écran saphyr. Je n'aime pas, je ne vois rien. J'aurais préféré avoir un écran classique et mettre un film protecteur. Car qui fait du "tout terrain" avec sa montre ? Je soupconne une manière de commercialiser plus cher car écran saphyr. Sinon j'utilise Coros Apex pro au quotidien, j'ai délaissé Garmin. Ma montre est la seule à capter aussi rapidement le signal GPS et j'adore leur plateforme

    Hello! I'm in between the Garmin Instinct Solar 2, the new Coros Apex 2 and the Coros Apex Pro. The cheaper one in my area is the Instinct. I want the watch for hiking, trail running, occasionally city running, pool swimming and "tourist walking." Would you give me your opinion, please?

    The bezel on the "base" model looks rather unattractive. I kind of prefered the first gen models. Glad I got a Forerunner 255 in August though. That one is made of plastic, but does pretty much the same as these two, looks better (in my view), and for less.

    Fantastic having a review already! In your honest opinion, do you think the regular Apex is worth it vs the FR955? I love the metal build and smaller size/weight, but I'm torn because although I love my Pace 2, it's hard to argue that Garmin has a more complete ecosystem, especially as an Edge owner as well and the latest Garmin's have fixed the battery life issues I had with my older Fenix 5 and old FR's.

    • @DesFit
      @DesFit  ปีที่แล้ว

      It's kind of a toss up in terms of software features vs materials. Already having an Edge bike computer should factor into the decision as you mentioned though as it can be more convenient to have everything in one app. But I can't deny that the materials used on the Apex 2 are quite nice!
