Attractive exterior color on this one. I actually like the wheels on this EV. Neat styling. These vehicles serve a good purpose and it's nice that they are becoming pleasing to the eye in my opinion.
It’s not bad looking…….I like the color combo with the interior. Too many all black interiors around. Not looking for an EV, but I do like the look of the Chevy Equinox. Thanks Joe ! And Steven Flood……made an appearance around 9:00 in side view mirror 😎
It's a very satisfying vehicle, the driver feels like he bought something special and unique. The vehicle is very well adjusted, you don't feel that it's an EV that much and you're not bothered by artificial and forced movements and sound.
The $60k price tag on this badge engineered GM Ultium product for what you are getting is way too steep. Unless they are doing massive discounts off MSRP and incredible lease deals, these will stay on dealer lots.
@@dennylafoss It's for early adopters guys. My bro dropped $5K on an Apple IIe Plus Integer in 1980. This is the automotive equivalent of that computer. It's for EARLY ADOPTERS! Except Honda didn't want to drop the hideous money to make a soon-to-be-obsolete EV standalone so they piggybacked on GM's financial bleed out. It gives Honda a market relevant product in the EV space in America and minimizes the companies financial exposure...perfect. Plus the Ultium/Lyric ain't chopped liver...it's pretty good stuff. And by how much do you think Honda should undercut GM's price structure by on price and remain a good partner. GM clearly dictated the price on this because it's built on pricey bones. The little tiny EV Honda did in house isn't even offered in the States. Alas, we don't like beautiful crafted small cars here. Oh and that sound you hear is the Prologue discounts coming in the not to distant future, I'll posit.
I test drove a touring model today. It handles nice, like a new Honda, but nothing superb and the acceleration is disappointing. Overall, it felt like a nice ride and much like my CR-V. The best part to me was the lease terms. I was given 3 options of down payments & monthly amounts. Each of the three options came out to around $13k total cost across 36 months. The buyout amount was agreeable as well, at around $23k, making the total cost to lease and buyout less than $37k. I think those numbers are hard to beat, even though this isn't my favorite EV SUV.
I have the Elite trim. The door to charging port is kind of cheap. It pops open while I’m driving and then I get an alert but I’m driving 80 miles an hour on highway and cannot close it. Other than Lack of available fast charging stations; I love it! Oh, the steering wheel is really thick (fat) If you have small hands, you have to work hard to keep grip on wheel. The HUD is the best!
What people has to accept is , most SUV EV's are in this price range today. Even the CX-70 PHEV is a bit more than this but less incentives. Even toyota rav4 and Crv are over 45k right now lol. The Blazer is about 2000$ cheaper but thats for the FWD version while the base model of honda is dual motor standard. On top of that, Honda Canada has a great promo right now , 3000$ off msrp + 1.88% financed on ANY terms.
It's so nice to have fully functional corner air curtains. And the seats looks so comfy. If I were to choose between Honda Prologue and Tesla Model Y, I would be on the fence, because although both of them are hatchback SUV, to me Model Y's design is similar to Model 3 which is sedan, so to me Model 3 is a sedan-like hatchback SUV. I want to know the result of crash test of the two cars as I want to compare them in terms of safety.
It's better than the blazer! I test drove it, and when asked how to use CarPlay, the sales rep told me it's not on there, neither is Android Auto. I turned off and went back to the dealer. My Prologue has both on the infotainment. Very solid ride, glad I went with the Honda. I wasn't a fan of the interior of the Chevy, especially the round vents.
I like it but wish they'd given it the larger range option like the Blazer. I also am not a fan of GM's buttons and switches. Exterior looks 100x better than the model Y, though.
I like this better than the Blazer, I’m just not sure that Honda will make it for very long so I wonder how well it will be supported for maintenance and repairs. If you get this fully loaded in the Elite trim is is very nicely appointed. This is a big car. 😊
People are crazy for buying EVs right now. Battery tech for EVs is going to change within the next 5 years and will make current EVs very obsolete. If you aren't wealthy and just have the money to blow, then please stay away from electric vehicles until they mature.
I hope these car companies stop wasting cool designs on pure electronic only vehicles. Our infrastructure isn't ready for it, what they should be doing is very efficient long range ice and hybrids and a few pure electric to show progress in the technology.
It's what they've been doing for the past century with the GM EV1 and electric chevette/corvair. The infrastructure is more than ready. Millions of buildings already rely on electricity with more on the way. As opposed to houses or apartments (or even gas stations!), EVs take very little energy. They're the most efficient propulsion tech that we have. The only drawback I see is cheap, reliable charging stations. Though that could be quickly changing as Tesla opens up it's supercharger network (though we do still need more cheap and easy to install fast chargers). With the right infrastructure, range isn't a concern. Imo 200-250 kms of range is enough. Nobody needs 1000+ km of range. Great for a marketing brochure, but not a realistic pro.
Don't want your pickle to get pinched in a Prologue. That actually sounds quite painful (and vaguely alliterative) and I don't even know what it means.
I think there's a reason the model y is the most popular ev and one of the most popular cars. It's like goated. To keep it short, I don't think I'd get this over a Y

its a nice car i have the touring. honda has great lease options on these. forget the price tag because if you are financing an ev instead of leasing you are making a bad decision.
Why inside top of the rear doors are hard plastic? to protect them from the sun light comes from sunroof. Please Honda! do not make the sunroof standart. Hey Honda, you may put hard plastic on the entire surface of the 5th door to protect the body and the paint from rear small impacts. Chineese, Korean and European already doing this on their cars.
