Not gunna lie, I always liked the fight sequences more in this movie than the two sequels. This movie treated him like an otherworldly shadow that was OP. In the sequels he just awkwardly threw hammerfists all the time.
I'm sure most kids couldn't, considering the last movie was Batman & Robin which was made for little kids, and then going to this with a tonal whiplash is razor thin.
I just imagine how scary it would be to have hallucinations and being in a dream like state as someone interrogates you. As an adult it doesn't scare me that much but I guess a child sure would.

The Joker was great but Murphys Scarecrow was wild. I really wished they expanded on his character. Also the nightmare Batman visuals were perfect, I really wished Nolan didn't go full realism in the Dark Knight. We needed some horror in our Batman film.

I gotta say, that fueled my appreciation for horror as a kid.. I'd love a film where batman uses a tad bit of fear toxin. The next Reeves batman film would REALLY benefit from that concept. It's definitely something batman would utilize. That way criminals would literally see him as a demon & everyone who isn't a criminal would still see him as a spirit of vengeance. A fallen angel on a mission from god. No super strength needed.

Exactly if there’s one thing the trilogy missed it was the fight scenes. Wish it had been more like the warehouse scene in BVS

Nightmare Batman is the perfect example of making a super patient person finally lose their temper.
The fear toxin appearance of Batman is pretty much what all the criminals of Gotham who only hear of him imagine, some demon that stalks the night.
