The first thing I thought of when they talked bout the save file recover is all the people that try to blow up Desolo may have a chance of doing it now as they can get rid of all the debris that it creates.
Iirc the main issue with blowing up desolo is that terrain you remove actually takes up memory (I’d assume the game has to keep track of what naturally generated terrain no longer exists) so you end up massively bloating your save file size
@@oberonpanopticon yeah, it presents numerous problems. the save file size bloat is the result of removing a bunch of terrain, which can make a save impossible to load. If it *can* load, then all of those resource nuggets have a bunch of stuff happening 'under the hood' of the game that FPS can become more like seconds per frame. Plus, what is with people wanting to blow up an entire moon?
@@oberonpanopticon Your probably right as one save I had where I reshaped Novas the file was 140mb. But I could still load it without a problem. I guess anything over that would cause problems.
The Vesania structure you found is what I'd call a "Truck Stop" because its multiple ramps indicate multiple bays that can house 6 vehicles. Just try to avoid putting your rocket on the platform, as I've just talked to someone who made that mistake and their rocket was yeeted into space.
I've been calling it the Rover Port. Truck Stop works well, too. My shuttle was yeeted into oblivion when I loaded the save and the Glacio platform was in the middle of my base. :(
@@snipeeeeeeeeeee yeah, I'm hearing about missing chips more and more. Worse, one of the devs said they are aware of the problem but they haven't been able to reliably reproduce it to figure out what's going on, so a fix may be slow to arrive.
It's been quite a while since I've played Astroneer. You're correct about the seat. It always annoyed me when I wanted to fill the entire top of the large rover and put the seat on front and couldn't. Just the seat is enough for me to load the game up again and see how far I'm behind. I liked using the large rover to pave roads 3/4 around a planet and then to the north and south poles That's how I'd unlock the gateway chambers. Then I'd use One Last Midnight's method of zig zagging to the center to unlock the core. I liked it that way so I could go back down and gather resources easier. I'm far enough behind I just got to the trains but didn't build any.
Pretty excited for some new content. I wonder if they'll update the new items to be printable at some point. Maybe there's an XL printer coming that would make this more practical. Little disappointed about the Tapper too. It was fun watching the organic nuggets spin up on a Honeypot or one of the most dangerous flora.
Definitely agree with you on the uninspired nature of the missions. It's kinda my biggest issue with the missions system as a whole - it encourages players to play the game in a very specific order and way, instead of giving you the freedom to unlock items and build things in whatever way you want. If you follow the missions system religiously every playthrough, you'll end up with a 1 dimensional version of player progression instead of multiple directions in which to move and explore. I get SES is trying to encourage players to explore and engage with all the systems the game provides, but such an approach kinda diminishes player freedom. I don't like Vesania, but the VTOL is fun, so I guess I'll put up with it and visit the planet for 1 very specific reason? Part of me is tempted to just ignore the missions completely, or switch my save to creative mode and then back just to disable missions - but then I'm locked out of events and questlines and hoverboards and stuff. I try not to be salty as an Astroneer player, but I am a bit disappointed with the lack of player freedom in Astroneer in general. I thought a lot of that was being resolved in the custom game modes update, but even then, the actual player freedom is still restricted. What if I want to make a custom game mode where I have no storage carrying vehicles, but still wanna fly around on a jetpack? Can't do that, the vehicle recipes are bundled. What if I want to play nomadically, with a field shelter and a portable smelter, never setting down in one spot? Well, the field shelter is a really expensive recipe, and it is not one of the items you can choose to start with unfortunately. Just give us more options, it would be so easy! I'm having fun getting back in Astro anyway though, doing hardcore runs starting on Atrox without a shelter and ending when I get right before beating the game. It is fun seeing the way player progression it totally changed when you start on Atrox - I had a portable oxygenator before I had a shuttle, the nanocarb was just lying around and research is really valuable on Atrox.
I feel ALL of that, 100%. An early version of custom games I tested had the ability to disable at a per recipe level instead of just a big group. It was GLORIOUS. I know they say it is a difficult technical hurdle, but I hope it is one they turn their attention back to because it was how custom games should work. I had some grand designs for different challenges at that point and then, when it was released, I was like "hey, where'd my options go?!" I always felt the missions were a good replacement for the tutorial, but they just went too far. Instead of using them as a way to acclimate a player to their world and gently nudge them when they needed it, it became just an overt hand holding system that, as you said, really only encourages a very order and way to play. I kinda feel like new players today miss some of the magic we had before missions. The first time you saw a gateway and thought "what is THAT? What do I do with these power cables?" and then figuring out there were caves, and even more the deeper you went. I think the missions spoil a lot of that sense of discovery. Sure, I get that their data showed them that only some low percentage of players ever activated a gateway or travelled to a different planet or whatever but, I dunno, it just swung too far in the wrong direction.
I remember mucking about for a bit on Sylva on my first playthrough wondering what I was actually supposed to do and what my goals should be, and then googling 'what should I be doing Astroneer'. Google told me to build a small shuttle and a thrusterz and other than that, I never needed anymore handholds... That being said I did end up using a storage hole and relying solely off the shelter rtg for power on Sylva for the next 10+ hours in that playthrough
heh, that reminds me of a stream I raided once back in the day. Bunch of dudes didn't know you could make other power producers so anytime their power was too low, they printed a new shelter. They had like 20 shelters all in a fairly small space. It was priceless.
I think that's a great game. Let the player play the way they want or give them a progression. Worked for subnautica, works for this. Why would you care if other people play a certain way when you can play however you want?
I miss the days of astroneer when you just did your own thing. There was no handholding at all. When you need an RTG, you gathered materials and built one. Now you get a bunch of small ones as rewards.
Glad you covered all of this. I was curious about the platform, and am disappointed that we can't make it. I AM however, going to make a base around the existing one, as I had been wanting to set up a north pole base anyways.
I think a lot of people are disappointed we can't make it, or at least move it. Hopefully the devs will hear our feedback and do something about it in the future. In the meantime, yeah, I guess we're building bases around it :)
Just took the XXXXLLLLLLLLLL canister and leave the platform catch dust. Insane to build a base around it, i am a free spirit and don't let them dictate my choice of base location. Besides i like the total mess in my base with all the discs laying arround left and right from previous missions. Insanity i pick a few up and mission was done. The only thing i am really looking forward 2 is more planets.
Maaaan, I wish they would let us package, repair, or build all these fancy structures we find like that, especially that one tall landing platform. The new seat is neat, but I can't give up my drill/paver :T
@@TheMrSeagull talking about a drill and a new seat. You may go backwards 😁. I mean you can put the seat to the rover's opposite side 🤭. And probably you do not need to use a drill every time you go.
@@VaingloriousGaming My take, they need a tier 2 packer to allow "terrain base spawning" structures like the shelter, raised landing, the truck stop, the new large platform to be "repackaged" and "redeployed". Just make it expensive (and large). Something like 2 diamonds and an exo chip?
Thanks for sharing. Not even a little interested in the new storage. The platforms might have been cool to build with, but not if we can't even make them.
I feel ya. I did the 400 of everything once and while it was fun putting together the logistics of automating all of that, having the actual huge reserves of resources never appealed to me. Given the weird locations of some of these platform spawns, it just feels like a big missed opportunity.
Although not ideal spawn location for existing saves, for a new save, it makes sense. But, wish we could just package and move them. Also wish they would do more big structures, although it should cost most, like maybe it needs something from each printer combined.... Either way, these updates got me ready to jump back in, and start new save
yeah, I can see that. I tend to start new saves for big projects fairly often, and I just get a bit annoyed at needing to do the same missions over and over before I can get on with what I *really* want to accomplish. :)
@@VaingloriousGaming I can relate, but I feel that it would be best to balance the amount of mission unlocked blueprints and byte unlocked blueprints. The mission unlocked blueprints belong to game changing items like the hover board while byte unlocked blueprints belong to standard items like platforms, storage, appliances, etc...
they lock behind missions cuz they have an issue with ppl just landing at a planet then set up shop there and never even trying to explore anywhere else. this is how they want to encourage just fucking around and exploring. they aren't doing that well w this tho
I was kind of hoping the XL canister was not a mission thing, because I have _way_ more than enough bytes to potentially unlock it. I can't even unlock the darn thing because there was only *_one_* platform on Calidor in my save, and it didn't even have a data circuit, let alone an XL Canister or the other junk that is normally on it! I found other Fissures biomes large enough to support another platform, but that was the only one I found. No chip, no debris, nothing. Just an empty platform.
I get the idea of nudging players out into the worlds to explore a bit, but the fetch quests in Astroneer always seem uninspired. I spend so much time focused on looking for a thing that I'm not really all that concerned with also investigating the biomes that surround me.
i think that the missions are encouraging ppl to check the biome names and use usagi(i dont use usagi enoki and eva bc they are not useful(eva seeds are too expensive)) i've heard a lot of complaints about "where is the fissures of calidor"(its between the surface and the caves in certain locations i think, ran into one when doing the galastropod missions) yeah ses should add more uses to bytes the base in my previous save might get destroyed, but its unlikely because its above the gateway not beside it
I had a tour of allllll the biomes in Astroneer in two recent Astroneer Academy videos. Next time you see someone ask, send 'em here. ;) And yeah, your base will be fine if it's on top of the gateway. Mine are all down on the ground. I checked a bunch of my saves with Glacio bases and ooooof, lots to fix.
some very good thoughts on that ... the new platforms spawning in bases are a big annoyance ... but in my eyes the biggest annoyance were and are the gateways blocking the nicest spots to build ... please let us have a game mode where they dont exist or are alot smaller
I don't know if I'm going to use the new canister 😅😂🙈 It's truly amazing. But in the end, I really don't need that many resources stored 😅 Other than maybe Organic 🤣🤪 But the Rover seat is cool for playing with more than 2 friends though!! Now 6 people can enter 1 rover, that's pretty awesome! Other than that. I agree with you on everything !! 🎉 Hope we will be able to make these new things at some point 🎉
On a server i made automatic explosive powder factory and now it took 1,5 days to fill extra large resource canister and with large resource canister took only 0,5 day im only happy with the extra large resource canister
Early to mid game I would use the xl cannister for scrap. We have all easily used 2000 or more scrap in a given game. Always wondered why some items never got an xl size.
heh, I'm not sure I've ever used 2,000 scrap in total let alone across a single game. But yeah, for those who lean into the scrap trade, this thing is great.
@@VaingloriousGaming I even used scrap to get resources and put them in large cannisters, so the scrap can really start stacking up after a while. It got so bad for me it more of a base building sim. So bad that I could no longer save at one point. 😆
that one can be tricky, because it can actually (though not always) spawn a bit down into deeper fissures instead of up at the surface level, making it a bit too far down for Usagi to detect or even for you to see unless you are looking straight down. I'll have a video about finding all ten of them in a day or two.
He is right. I had to go on my hoverboard to find that one on Calidor fissures. That one was the one that wasted the most of my time. It was so far down Usagi didn't detect it until I was literally on top of it. Very time consuming to say the least.
My base on Vesania was wrecked, not beyond repair thankfully, by terrain generation apparently related to a large crashed ship spawning at my location. It didn't seem to have any relevance to the Roadtrip update, only containing some typical items you might find in any crashed ship, but there it was. Its location was also blocking my rail system and it was a PITA to dig around and get it to move out the way. I didn't destroy it thinking maybe it had some unknown significance but would like it gone. I vaguely recall there was a crashed ship in a similar spot that I blasted to bits for the scrap. Could that have decided to return from the grave? I did stumble across the "truck stop" some distance away but far enough I don't think it would've had an effect on the terrain at my base. Although that said, there did seem to be a noticeable amount of random terrain generated across the surface I ventured over. Makes me worry about the state of my bases I haven't revisited at other locations that might also have spawned some mystery trash or those near gateways where that platform might pop up. I was on Atrox when the update happened and nothing seems to have changed there but maybe the game will take advantage of my absence to f around so I'll find out. All in all, not too impressed with the rewards versus the potential to destroy many hours/days of work.
I had something similar happen on one of my Vesania bases. Sort of a "wedge" of terrain that I removed a lonnnnng time ago when I flattened out the area for the base. The Parkade Pad ("truck stop") is fairly close by for me, though. I have numerous saves where the dark, hardest terrain is not under the parkade pads and installed platforms as it should be and, instead, somewhere near-ish, there's weird terrain deformation that wasn't there before.
The mission for the canister has lost me 🙃 cannot find calidors or atroxs chips. Im even using usagi. Calidors: says fissures and have come across 5 so far w/ nothing, only found the large station thing, but it wasnt the right chip. Atrox: says equator but i feel like ive sat around it for 30 mins and no sign 😭
you're not alone, I'm hearing from a lot of people struggling with these things. I am working on a "guide" of sorts right now that should be out tomorrow. In the meantime, on Atrox: Gateway Chamber 3, you'll find two chips on one platform.
Use the vtol to get around and we found that the first set of structures with the XL canisters were all next too the purple teleport structures. The truck stop depot structures were stand alone though
Now I'm annoyed. I've been using a main save that I will copy out when a new event starts in order to reduce lag from the build up of LTE items in my world, and then deleting them when the event is finished. Which means I had all of those chips that had no function, and now I don't. I do realize that this is my mistake for guessing wrong whether or not these would join the pile of neat but useless items we can gather in this game, but still. >.
yeah, there had been some background chatter that they would be useful for something, and maybe hold onto them, but there was no in-game indication of that. :/
Hurray the new b seat will work great for an elevator using the rails. Was always annoyed that they didn't have that option. Not sure i really care about the xl cannister though. Its cool, but i dont think I would ever have a reason to store that much material all at once. 400 resin gets you 200 Large A platforms.
It was a fun build if annoying to set up. Actually was able to call it to each floor of my mountain base using a button that was on a delay. It was before I realized how janky loading in could be with button repeaters that were not on platforms. One day I loaded in and all my meticulously placed button repeaters in the elevator shaft had fallen 😂. Took a long break after that@@VaingloriousGaming
@@VaingloriousGaming Put in something that can hold X amount of another thing, and there will be players who will take it as a challenge, and dedicate their entire game play to filling up one each with every type of resource they can make/find.
I strongly suspect that the new unmovable platforms are assets that will become printable/producable in the Glitchwalkers Expansion, or not soon after. And this was their way to let us play with them a little early. The parking garage you should briefly is intended for those who tend to lose rovers through the terrain.
That's an optimistic take, but not one I think will come to pass. One of the devs mentioned they were originally trying to get them to be things we could craft and place ourselves, but due to their sheer size, it wasn't working out. Instead, the idea shifted to being something we could build a new base around.
@@VaingloriousGaming Shame. Really only viable for new start games then. Or for those willing to uproot their bases. I got fortunate that one platform spawned in right next to the gateway chamber I use as a base to begin with. Mind, the platform is on a floating island, but that could be fun to work with.
4:20 please hurry on the location video edit: i managed to find the ones for the canister which was what I cared about. You gotta use the little dude that points stuff out and I did it with the hoverboard and jetpack but I'm guessing it's really a job for the VTOL. Probably would have taken half the time with the VTOL. I'll look for the rover seat ones later. I don't really care about that except for 100% mission completion. edit2: found the others using vtol very quickly
The structure I found on glacio was not easily viable as it spawned underground, I used usagi to find it but when I get near it found it while I didn’t even see it. Had to go back and dig it out to even find the data circuit
yeah, there is an issue where the platforms are not spawning proper. It is supposed to be on the surface, right by the gateway. most people will find it there.
When I included the XL Canister in Astroneer Academy, I made a copy of my save and used creative mode in that copy. I made use of the resource plinth which will fill any canister at full speed. It took over 30 minutes. You can see that footage, sped up, here: th-cam.com/video/-NKZwAXKkDY/w-d-xo.htmlsi=AAlGZRWs70HrMvOF&t=1437
Don't like it when games are tweaked in such a way so as to keep players online for longer periods of time. And not for good reasons. Just fetch quests, as you pointed out, or achievements that require endless grinds. The worst is when the actual story of the game, the lore, is blocked by such artificially prolonged loops. This is what player engagement metrics like "№ of players online in the last X days" and "Longest gaming session (hours) in the past week" brought upon us. And here I thought developers would not be affected by those metrics...
absolutely. too many companies fell for the lie of 'big data' that "consumers don't know what they want, collect every ounce of data instead of listening to them." And I've yet to meet a consumer data analyst who doesn't sound like they're just pulling things out of the air at random to explain what they "see" in the data.
gotta wonder how many people (myself included) had to make a new save cuz of the new platform not spawning. not even Usagi could find it, all she pointed to was a wreck i've already found
not bragging, but I usually am. ;) I start the moment an update drops and don't take a break until my video is complete. I know people want the news ASAP!
i wonder if my 10x mod will work with the new canister. That would be 20,000 per canister! For us that are hoarders, 20k per canister just means more.... more.... more.... and much more! The seat.... eh, it something thats there but i dont even use 1st 3 seater anyways. I still say that we need XXL versions of current items that cost 100k+ bytes to unlock... I dont have a byte farm but just going around and salvaging items i have over 700k. So a regular way to use them would be great.
I've seen the 10x mod, never tried it. but wow, 20k would be just... insane. And yeah, with the bytes, I have saves with hundreds of thousands and I've never used byte farms. I'd love to have something to spend those bytes on.
very solid commentary, and i agree that they have to stop with the challenges locking items. in mist saves I max out the reasearch stuff after like session 4. However i think you are dead wrong on the tapper, and i hope you will listen to my opinion. I also think the game can feel too easy sometimes, and i dont want to have to manufacture ways to make it harder by avoiding items i already have. all you have to do is double the amount of tappers you have to have the same production as before. players shouldnt be able to only use generators at the start, just like how players shouldnt be able to use the hoverboard off spawn. sure i could avoid the things that make it easy, but id hope that system era can balance there items to make a clear early middle and end game setup, which is what they did with that nerf. Anyways, i agree with everthing else and thanks for the update.
I suppose my viewpoint comes from what players should be able to do, not what they shouldn't. You said "players shouldn't" and, well, that just isn't a viewpoint I can share. Who am I (or you or anyone else) to say what someone else should not be able to do in a game, especially when that opinion is informed by your own preferred play style? A sandbox game like Astroneer is best when it focuses on what can be, not nerfing things so they can't be. Or, put another way, open up possibilities, don't limit options. It doesn't take much to find people who struggled with power early in the game and then just walk away from it. I lurk the Astroneer section of Twitch quite often to find pain points people are experiencing so I can offer up solutions in the Astroneer Academy series. I have seen at least a dozen people play for less than an hour, bumping up against the lack of power and lack of research bytes early on, and giving up to go play something else. That's been just this past month. Some of them go so far as to refund the game. I dunno, as I mentioned in the video, I grow weary of seeing things nerfed in any game because a vocal group complained it made things too easy. Especially in Astroneer where custom games are a thing and you can make it as difficult as you want and still experience missions, LTE's, and the full gameplay loop. I can't adjust the tapper rate in a custom game. You CAN adjust the power production or consumption rate.
I need to clear the air, I lied. My scrap addiction just got worse after trying a print of the extra large canister. It is a little over half full, I have a scrap addition.
I have another video coming tomorrow that will go through it all step by step, but until then, have you picked up the data circuit at the north pole of Glacio? You have to actually pick it up to kick off the new schematic mission.

well, a couple of things. While they haven't said much about it, a big portion of the team is working on their next game. And, there is a HUGE expansion for Astroneer coming later this year. They've been up front that this year's updates leading up to that would be small.
@@VaingloriousGaming that being said, we also have to keep in mind that they probably dont sell millions of copies of the game every year. The money for continued development / updates on the game has to come from somewhere too aside from investors (who also only invest if there is promise of profit beyond breaking even on the initial investment). To my knowledge all updates are funded through the optional cosmetics store. People dont seem very aware that game devs dont do this as an unpaid hobby or something.

somewhat unusable, since you have to build around it. Would have been far more useful if we could create it or at least package it to move it somewhere else.

I had some grand designs for different challenges at that point and then, when it was released, I was like "hey, where'd my options go?!"
I always felt the missions were a good replacement for the tutorial, but they just went too far.
The only thing i am really looking forward 2 is more planets.
definitely agree with the point about fetch quests, we know how to use the research chamber!!!
I agree with your opinion about the taper haiters
💯
Maaaan, I wish they would let us package, repair, or build all these fancy structures we find like that, especially that one tall landing platform.
The new seat is neat, but I can't give up my drill/paver :T
yeah, imagine a base w/ a space port, the new platform, and the parkade pad all together. perfection. but not possible. :(
@@TheMrSeagull talking about a drill and a new seat. You may go backwards 😁. I mean you can put the seat to the rover's opposite side 🤭. And probably you do not need to use a drill every time you go.
@@crasymuse yeah but just in case I need it 😂😂😂 thats the point of crafting it
@@Homeside301 😂😂😂 I meant that sometimes I go on paved roads 😂😂
@@VaingloriousGaming My take, they need a tier 2 packer to allow "terrain base spawning" structures like the shelter, raised landing, the truck stop, the new large platform to be "repackaged" and "redeployed". Just make it expensive (and large). Something like 2 diamonds and an exo chip?
Calculated it, it would take about 30 min to load fully ur unload fully. DAMN
😲😲😲
I'm sure one day I'll build a new base in a new save around one, but yeah, I too wish we could just put them where we want.
12:00 personally, I enjoy completing missions to unlock blueprints because it creates a challenge for the player weather they're late game or not.
yeah, I can see that.
@@Game_Blox9999 that's really strange. the platform on Calidor should have a big old canister with a single Resipound in it.
i think that the missions are encouraging ppl to check the biome names and use usagi(i dont use usagi enoki and eva bc they are not useful(eva seeds are too expensive))
i've heard a lot of complaints about "where is the fissures of calidor"(its between the surface and the caves in certain locations i think, ran into one when doing the galastropod missions)
yeah ses should add more uses to bytes
the base in my previous save might get destroyed, but its unlikely because its above the gateway not beside it
I had a tour of allllll the biomes in Astroneer in two recent Astroneer Academy videos. Next time you see someone ask, send 'em here. ;) And yeah, your base will be fine if it's on top of the gateway. Mine are all down on the ground. I checked a bunch of my saves with Glacio bases and ooooof, lots to fix.
@@VaingloriousGaming ooooof :/
@@VaingloriousGaming ok thx!
some very good thoughts on that ... the new platforms spawning in bases are a big annoyance ... but in my eyes the biggest annoyance were and are the gateways blocking the nicest spots to build ... please let us have a game mode where they dont exist or are alot smaller
that's not a bad idea, tbh.
I don't know if I'm going to use the new canister 😅😂🙈 It's truly amazing. But in the end, I really don't need that many resources stored 😅 Other than maybe Organic 🤣🤪
But the Rover seat is cool for playing with more than 2 friends though!! Now 6 people can enter 1 rover, that's pretty awesome!
Other than that. I agree with you on everything !! 🎉 Hope we will be able to make these new things at some point 🎉
On a server i made automatic explosive powder factory and now it took 1,5 days to fill extra large resource canister and with large resource canister took only 0,5 day im only happy with the extra large resource canister
that's a lot of explosives... just what are you planning? ;)
Idk
Early to mid game I would use the xl cannister for scrap. We have all easily used 2000 or more scrap in a given game. Always wondered why some items never got an xl size.
heh, I'm not sure I've ever used 2,000 scrap in total let alone across a single game. But yeah, for those who lean into the scrap trade, this thing is great.
@@VaingloriousGaming I even used scrap to get resources and put them in large cannisters, so the scrap can really start stacking up after a while. It got so bad for me it more of a base building sim. So bad that I could no longer save at one point. 😆
@@ytborg7 you might have a scrap addiction, see a doctor ;)
@@VaingloriousGaming no worries, I've scaled down my scrap addiction by way more than half. 😆
Played for at least 3 hours yesterday and till this day can’t find the circuit model A in calidor fissures
that one can be tricky, because it can actually (though not always) spawn a bit down into deeper fissures instead of up at the surface level, making it a bit too far down for Usagi to detect or even for you to see unless you are looking straight down.
This update has C.O.O.L. and unique type seats.

Aw, yisss! Teh Big Boi Canister comes to Astroneer!
i was waiting 🙂
thanks for being patient! I ran into a TON of technical problems getting this one out there!
I was able to find the big thing on Sylvia
I didn't even think about elevators, yeah, that'll be perfect. and yeah, I can't see ever collecting 2,000 of a resource.
It was a fun build if annoying to set up. Actually was able to call it to each floor of my mountain base using a button that was on a delay. It was before I realized how janky loading in could be with button repeaters that were not on platforms. One day I loaded in and all my meticulously placed button repeaters in the elevator shaft had fallen
😂. Took a long break after that@@VaingloriousGaming
@@VaingloriousGaming Put in something that can hold X amount of another thing, and there will be players who will take it as a challenge, and dedicate their entire game play to filling up one each with every type of resource they can make/find.
2 words: Lots Of Dynamite
Am i same by being more hyped by the large seat rather than then
Xl silo ?
Hey, it's a pretty cool seat. If you dig it, then be hyped!
4:20 please hurry on the location video
edit: i managed to find the ones for the canister which was what I cared about.
I already have it all recorded, I just gotta work out my mic issues before I can produce another video. Hopefully by Saturday, at the absolute latest!
The structure I found on glacio was not easily viable as it spawned underground, I used usagi to find it but when I get near it found it while I didn’t even see it. Had to go back and dig it out to even find the data circuit
yeah, there is an issue where the platforms are not spawning proper. It is supposed to be on the surface, right by the gateway. most people will find it there.
using some rough math. The extra large canister needs 16.5 minutes to fully fill up. This is at 2 resources per second transfer rate.
And here I thought developers would not be affected by those metrics...
absolutely. too many companies fell for the lie of 'big data' that "consumers don't know what they want, collect every ounce of data instead of listening to them." And I've yet to meet a consumer data analyst who doesn't sound like they're just pulling things out of the air at random to explain what they "see" in the data.
gotta wonder how many people (myself included) had to make a new save cuz of the new platform not spawning. not even Usagi could find it, all she pointed to was a wreck i've already found
I've heard of one other so far having a problem. The platform spawned, but nothing was on it.

I hope that with the xl canister they just put resource transportation between planets
agreed. what good is a canister with 2,000 resources if I can't move it from planet to planet?
i wonder if my 10x mod will work with the new canister.
It is a little over half full, I have a scrap addition.
the first step to recovery is admitting you have a problem...

It absolutely blows my mind that System Era has 45 employees and all they do is put out a tiny update once per year with like two new buildings and a bunch of cosmetics. Honestly I have no idea how they stay in business.
well, a couple of things.
