Thanks! The tips were VERY helpful. I just completed the mission to unlock the extra large resource canister. I agree, they need to make the two schematic unlocks permanent. I had loaded up my most recent game which I started in May 2023, and the chips on Atrox were the worst. Gateway chamber #3 was mostly buried at the top of a Mountains biome. (My first clue that this was not going to be very fun...) I spent a few minutes digging out and getting a road built to the gateway chamber then maybe 25 minutes driving/digging around while looking for the stupid chips. The platform with the chips was COMPLETELY BURIED. It was not that far away but was deeper than I thought it would be. I got lucky and partially uncovered a gravity globe and knew that I must have finally found the chips!
I'm glad it helped. And I feel you on the struggle. I recently encountered one on Atrox that was floating high above the canyon next to the gateway, and another on Glacio that was buried deep under a glacier. I really dislike the requirement of unlocking these per save; they should work like the PUM-KN shelter. Once you unlock it, it's unlocked.

I get that. I was thinking it'd be some big key to something fairly substantial. Instead, my hours of standing next to an exo request platform hoping to see those chips was for... a canister and a seat.
That is the one that I had the most trouble finding each time. When I used the VTOL, I had to be flying at pretty much ground level before Usagi's navpoint would appear on the compass since most of them were deep inside of a fissure. If flying in a straight line around the equator and then from north to south and back again doesn't help, you can do what I had to in one instance. Pick another random direction and fly in a straight line. Maybe northeast or southeast, all the way around the planet. I had to do that for one of them and it was quite the grind.
that seems to be the one most people are having problems with, especially just finding crevasses to begin with, and then the strong change it is deep down inside of a crevasse. Some people have resorted to making a copy and going to creative mode and then putting a beacon on every crevasse region they find to make sure they are not backtracking, and then when they find it in creative, taking note of their location and then switching back to their regular copy of the save.
you mean you found a platform without a chip? If so, I've heard of that happening. I know the devs are aware of it, but the last I heard they were still working on finding a fix.
with the new mass production protocolevent i found the c variants by finishing it and keep trading but they dont give anything so idk what they are for
you did it already if you found all ten. you literally only have to pick them up to count as progress toward completing the missions to unlock the XL canister and new rover seat.
All my Atrox equator gateways placed in the sky!! And as searched blow them on the groung with usagi I found no marker for that installed platform nowhere under the gateways. What should I do ?
Even if your gateways are in the sky, the installed platform will still be very close to Gateway 3 on Atrox. It is one of two fixed locations for all of these.
I just found Calidor Circuit model A and SOMEHOW it wasnt in the fissures it was in the valleys, literally on the surface Edit: Apparently there was a fissures biome next to it and since my world was before the update the terrain probably glitched it and spawned the structure in the dunes instead of the fissures? edit 2: the fissures was exposed
the regions can overlap somewhat, with stuff from one appearing in the other. But yours will be the 1st I've heard of being actually outside of the fissures region.
I’ve searched every corner of calidor’s surface with usagi fed, and while I’m seeing the b1 chips, I’m not even getting a marker on the compass that ends up being an a3 chip. I’m using the hover board and I’m seeing usagi’s markers for everything except the platforms for the a3 chip. The world WAS made before the update. Any suggestions?
It seems this one is giving people the most trouble, myself included. It took quite a while for me in most saves. I did a combo of existing saves and new saves and they were all a pain. I just kept at it and eventually found them. I did use the "straight line" approach though. First, a full trip around a planet around the equator. Then another from north to south pole, then back again. When that didn't work, I'd try like going northeast in a straight line until I went all the way around. I think part of the issue is that the fissures can get kinda deep, so Usagi isn't detecting the chip.
@@VaingloriousGaming thank you, I found it. I had to bring my rover with paver and drill (like you did in the video when you found the chip in question) to calidor and dug my way under under the biome. Thank you.
You *might* get one as an incremental reward in the current limited time event. I got one out of like two dozen reward shipments. Other than that, short of using mods on PC, you probably won't get it back unless you can find it. Usagi will show the data circuits on your compass as a dark green Usagi navpoint on the compass, so maybe try hunting for it?
i cannot find the atrox at all. i have searched this planet more than 20 time and usagi wont pick up anything. i even mined out almost everything around equator 3 and still nothing. can i please get some assistance?
the Atrox installed platform is a fixed location, it will always be near gateway 3 on the equator. Some players have reported these platforms appearing partially or even fully buried, however. If you are confident there isn't one, well... your save could be bugged (unlikely if you found platforms on other planets) or you just haven't spotted it yet.
I have seen other people say they have two of the surface vehicle bays in their save. I do also. I think it may be a bug. I just went all over the place in creative mode. No luck!! I do think I found every marble on the planet!
I just used Usagi tbh. One time I was driving a rover, all the others I used a VTOL. And yeah, I'm seeing duplicate Parkade Pads (vehicle bays) in some of my saves, but they still have all the other chips as well.
@@VaingloriousGaming I gave up on the A3 mission and finished all the others for A and B pretty easily. I mostly wanted the seat and packed up the XL canister you initially find and hauled it home. Thank you for the video!
the one on Glacio should be the simplest as it should spawn pretty much right next to the gateway at the North Pole. I have, however, heard some rumors of the platform failing to load. If you're playing on PC and using any mods, try disabling them. There is at least one mod preventing the platform from spawning.
you can always just go to the north pole of Glacio and walk up to the installed platform with the xl canister on top; that should trigger the mission. Pickup the data circuit on that platform, and you'll kick off the mission for those as well.
@@pon986. if you go to the gateway at the north pole on Glacio, you should be able to just see it sitting there without using your compass to find it...
@VaingloriousGaming thanks for the response, do you know a way for my rovers to stop sinking into the floor? I know others have this problem just no fix.
@@Ironz._. there isn't an actual fix for it, though there are a couple of work-arounds. One of those is to utilize those parkade pads. If your rover is parked on one, they shouldn't sink through the ground. Before the parkade pads were added, players built large platforms and parked their rovers on top of those platforms to keep their rovers from sinking. It's only ever happened to me once, years ago, so I don't worry about it. But everyone who parks on platforms swears it keeps their rovers above ground.
I've heard of that happening, but mainly to PC players using some specifics mods. If you are on PC and using mods, try disabling them. If that's not the case, well, keep looking, it *should* be there.
yeah, it's a tricky one that a LOT of people are having problems with. I heard through the grapevine that a future update could possibly make this one a bit easier to find.
@jamesdeyette4778 thanks for the timestamp! I think you mean those greyish shell navpoints on the compass? Those are indicators for possible snail shell locations for the first part of the snail mission on Atrox.
two items in the catalog cannot be unlocked with research bytes. You must have all of the data circuit models a and b to unlock them both (a unlocks one, b the other).
it might be, I've heard from a lot of people who can't find them. Though it does seem that some mods on PC are preventing them from spawning. If you're on PC and using mods, try disabling those mods.
3 words... I Hate Calidor Although, does anyone have any tips for Calidor other than going round the planet north to south then east to west in a vtol? Because I swear I have looked in every single spot and still not seen it
So I've found all ten chips in about 25 different saves now and Calidor is always the most difficult. I didn't keep exact count, but waaaay over half the time I made a copy and used creative mode and flew very low to the ground. While the devs did increase the range the chip and platform will show up on the compass, I don't think it was enough. They often appear deep inside a fissure, so deep it may as well be in the first cave layer. So not only can you not see it, but it won't show up on the compass if you're very high above the ground. It's incredibly frustrating.
after 3 hours of non stop searching I still haven't found it, I am starting to think it might be glitched out or something. I have went on a creative version of my world and went to every single fissure and marked it with a beacon after checking it, unless I missed one I am nearly certain it might just not exist, although knowing my luck I probably missed one.. Also, from a little experiment I did with the other platform thing I found, Usagi can see the platforms from one layer up or down, and to the very last ring on your compass. Although for now I think I am going to give up untill a later date since I am on the verge of dying on how long this is taking, but the tips in the video were actually really useful for all of the other data chips.

@@VaingloriousGaming I have 2 parkade pads on calidor, and can't find fissures platform. Is this possibly why I can not find it?
@@willow036did you mange to find it? I cant find mine
@@rarescoliban6680 No. I have started to dig under the fissures.
i just cant find the calidor fissures. been searching for days!!!
that seems to be the one most people are having problems with, especially just finding crevasses to begin with, and then the strong change it is deep down inside of a crevasse. Some people have resorted to making a copy and going to creative mode and then putting a beacon on every crevasse region they find to make sure they are not backtracking, and then when they find it in creative, taking note of their location and then switching back to their regular copy of the save.
I think mine is glitched I see the icon but when I’m on it there’s nothing there just a platform like the one you found the B chip
you mean you found a platform without a chip? If so, I've heard of that happening. I know the devs are aware of it, but the last I heard they were still working on finding a fix.
with the new mass production protocolevent i found the c variants by finishing it and keep trading
but they dont give anything so idk what they are for
they will probably be for something like the first two were, just in a future update.
What if you don’t have usagi for finding the one on Atrox?
the one on Atrox is pretty easy. There are only four gateways on the equator, and that platform is going to be pretty much right next to one of those.
i have collected everyone, but what can i do with those circuits?
you did it already if you found all ten. you literally only have to pick them up to count as progress toward completing the missions to unlock the XL canister and new rover seat.
As far as I understand it, the one that’s supposed to be om Calidor does’nt spawn for me. I’ve been looking everywhere for hours.
that is the one people seem to have the most difficulty finding...
Hey, do ou know the purpouse of the data circuit model C's? I got some from the AMPP event and i don't know what they are for.
They will probably wind up being similar to the A's and B's, unlocking something to come in the next update. What that is... I have no idea.
How do I find the equator in orbit?
you are directly above the equator when you are in orbit
I just found Calidor Circuit model A and SOMEHOW it wasnt in the fissures it was in the valleys, literally on the surface
Edit: Apparently there was a fissures biome next to it and since my world was before the update the terrain probably glitched it and spawned the structure in the dunes instead of the fissures?
edit 2: the fissures was exposed
the regions can overlap somewhat, with stuff from one appearing in the other. But yours will be the 1st I've heard of being actually outside of the fissures region.
@@VaingloriousGaming interesting :0
Thank you.
the flat surface ones are too hard like the sylva one, couldnt get em
Me and my buddy somehow lost the first one from the north pole of glacio, is there a way to respawn them or trade for them?
You *might* get one as an incremental reward in the current limited time event. I got one out of like two dozen reward shipments. Other than that, short of using mods on PC, you probably won't get it back unless you can find it. Usagi will show the data circuits on your compass as a dark green Usagi navpoint on the compass, so maybe try hunting for it?
Has the update been released on switch yet or is it just me because as of Friday I'm still waiting for it.
I don't think it has released on Switch yet. Their patch notes mentioned "keep an eye on social media" for Switch release news.
i cannot find the atrox at all. i have searched this planet more than 20 time and usagi wont pick up anything. i even mined out almost everything around equator 3 and still nothing. can i please get some assistance?
the Atrox installed platform is a fixed location, it will always be near gateway 3 on the equator. Some players have reported these platforms appearing partially or even fully buried, however. If you are confident there isn't one, well... your save could be bugged (unlikely if you found platforms on other planets) or you just haven't spotted it yet.
1:13 WHATS THE YELLOW FLUID?
seems the cauldrangea was updated this week, too, even though it wasn't mentioned in the patch notes...

@faio1794 you win the internet today.
@@VaingloriousGaming thanks
@@faio1794 that explains where the ceramic comes from, I guess.
How did you know which crevice to check (that sounds so wrong) on Calidor for the A3 chip? Mine is obviously buried. Thx.
@@VaingloriousGaming thx VGG. I am now in a creative save dropping red markers on every crevice location I check.
@@VaingloriousGaming I gave up on the A3 mission and finished all the others for A and B pretty easily. I mostly wanted the seat and packed up the XL canister you initially find and hauled it home. Thank you for the video!
Does the atrox show on compass?
it does if you have the snail well fed :)
@VaingloriousGaming ty
@@VaingloriousGaming also do you have any tips to start on the natural location to find it easier?
i can't find the one on glacio no matter how long i search.
the one on Glacio should be the simplest as it should spawn pretty much right next to the gateway at the North Pole. I have, however, heard some rumors of the platform failing to load. If you're playing on PC and using any mods, try disabling them. There is at least one mod preventing the platform from spawning.
@@VaingloriousGaming yeah i just figured it out. it was buried in a mountain near the gateway. found it thanks to usagi!
the problem if you are using mods it will not genertate the installed platforms
I'm not so sure, I use mods. Well, one, DebugX I think it's called, and it works fine for me.

you can always just go to the north pole of Glacio and walk up to the installed platform with the xl canister on top; that should trigger the mission. Pickup the data circuit on that platform, and you'll kick off the mission for those as well.
@@VaingloriousGaming but I can't find this canister....it's just not marked on the compass

what plant?
Is there more than one structure on each planet?
the pads
yeah, there often is, though they will always hold the same stuff.
@VaingloriousGaming OK thankyou
i can´t find it at portal 3 on aatrox, or the icon ever showing up😱
I've heard of that happening, but mainly to PC players using some specifics mods. If you are on PC and using mods, try disabling them. If that's not the case, well, keep looking, it *should* be there.

yeah, it's a tricky one that a LOT of people are having problems with. I heard through the grapevine that a future update could possibly make this one a bit easier to find.
what is the fossil icon?
fossil icon? you have a timestamp so I can see what icon you're asking about?
@@VaingloriousGaming 4:10
@jamesdeyette4778 thanks for the timestamp! I think you mean those greyish shell navpoints on the compass? Those are indicators for possible snail shell locations for the first part of the snail mission on Atrox.
What’s even the point of getting these data circuits when you have everything researched?
two items in the catalog cannot be unlocked with research bytes. You must have all of the data circuit models a and b to unlock them both (a unlocks one, b the other).
i still can't find it
the one on Calidor is notoriously hard to find
found nothing think mine is bugged
it might be, I've heard from a lot of people who can't find them. Though it does seem that some mods on PC are preventing them from spawning. If you're on PC and using mods, try disabling those mods.
3 words...
I Hate Calidor
Although, does anyone have any tips for Calidor other than going round the planet north to south then east to west in a vtol?
