I’m sorry you like the game but I PRAY it shuts down. All the kids who spent their Christmas/birthday money on skins now get to see them disappear with their money. Multiversus dying is honestly something the studio had coming (no offense to the people putting hard effort in), but they literally did it to themselves. When you make a game that adds characters, you want to add characters that are well known and well loved, and some underrated characters too (kind of like what Marvel Rivals is doing where they add their big a-listers that everyone knows and loves, but they’re also balancing that out by adding some lesser known but loved characters too). Multiversus was honestly adding too many characters that (no offense) no one cares about. WB has so many franchises under their belt, and they choose some of the most lame, obscure, and bland characters to add instead of their main characters. And unlike Marvel Rivals (which already has a big name for itself since it’s Marvel), Multiversus can’t afford to add well known characters AND lesser known ones; they have to be pulling ALL A-listers and ones that are really popular to get people to even consider playing it over Smash Bros. or other online fighter games. Fighter games like Smash Bros., Multiversus, etc., always have a hard time getting consistent players because, unlike FPS games, the game-loop isn’t that fun. For FPS games, it can be moments or things like a different map, team lineup, teammates, character, moments. For fighter games, the maps don’t matter and are just for spectacle most of the time (and you don’t even pay attention to them since you’re strategizing and fighting, characters (that are almost the same), cosmetics, and battle-passes that nobody honestly cares about, etc.). Fighter games already have it not too lucky as it is, and adding characters that nobody cares about doesn’t help the game either. I (and many others) unfortunately saw this game’s downfall since the 2nd or 3rd season.

Honestly I think multiversus can save itself if it just changes 3 things 1. Is make every single character free from the beginning so you don't have to grind to get them 2. Give an actual story mode to the game similar to world of light or subspace and 3. Add atleast 5 characters a season, like take what they did for the first season they promoted joker, agent smith and Jason, but then they added a 4th character with banana guard, literally they should do that instead of having us wait months for a new character to come out, I mean hell how cool would it have been if during the time between let's say raven and marcilene multiversus finally dropped scooby doo into the game

The game has never been good since the relaunch there is no competition if your game cannot even compete with games that came out over 10 years ago. The game deserves to die and I cannot wait for the day and this is coming from somebody that has over 400 hours in the game. :)
I think what they should do is stop updating the game but not shut it down and they let us chose what season to play or which version to play from the first playtest to season 5

Unfortunately the game has an uphill battle. With a free to play like marvel rivals out and doing so well I just don’t see a ton of people going back. I wanted MVS to win but that looks less likely every day
If this game was like Marvel arrivals, I guarantee you 100% people will be all over this game but no, they don’t think outside the box and this is why it’s gonna shut down. They should probably take some notes on Asian games in order to improve their system.
The voice clips leaked for some characters such as Aquaman, and The Wicked Witch from The Wizard Of Oz are very real for sure, and I hope MultiVersus will not shut down. Various objects can be seen in the new launch trailer last year, and I think MultiVersus will stay alive for the future.

Confirmed they're shutting down the servers.The reason this game died is because they slowed down the speed of the game from the beta which attracted the super smash bros community. As soon as the game came out the speed went from smash bros melee to smash bros Brawl and we weren't having that. Complete turn off and let down. They also made the characters look bigger and zoomed the camera in which felt off. It had potiental to become a competitive game and they butchered it. RIP (2023-2025) Ps. Also the online sucked

Oh man, I remember when you were defending the pricing structure of S1. Everything was overpriced and the grind was insane. I still miss Beta but it's a shame this game never reached its potential.

People will pay money as long as the game is fun. Unfortunately the grind and gameplay is not fun. Cosmetics is not the issue believe it or not.

Honestly if MultiVersus ends I will happy mostly because the game always had problems and it’s mostly boring that there isn’t some a lot of modes I didn’t like like the game it was all about grind and pay to get cool skins but I would be sad tho considering that all of my data would be gone.

Needs to shut down the game is just supper unbalanced 😂 theres like 10 bad match ups in the game hit boxes are wonky some characters have so much hit priority like they will straight up cancel every move u thrown out with one attack that just has krazzzy hit priority some characters can just hold u at the edge some characters reward just running the entire match and not fighting wat so ever bro they took out arya starks counter move just to add it only if u fighting another stark bro that move saves her from ppl that are stronger then her witch is half the roster the fighter road is wild some characters can just run and spam moves

I didn’t really go into detail about what I meant by that so I would like to elaborate a little bit. I’ve heard they’ve had a lot of characters set up and ready to go as well as also the last two characters that I’ve heard are coming with the leaks they don’t feel like this would be that you care as the end of the season they feel like they’re just characters that are ready to go, but I also have high hopes for Multiverse because I really hope they use this as a way of like building hype and making people believe is the final one just to get more people’s eyes on the season and talking about the game than ever because I love this game with all my heart and I really hope it didn’t shut down at all
