      @@2strokeguru I watched your video about ignition , I was able to switch my ignition coil and get my 80 kd100 running for a bit. Now it won't start unless I push start it and it has to have the throttle wide open to run. Then it stalls. Am I able to clean my carb without having to replace the gasket and other stuff? I'm having a hard time finding parts and help in my town. I'm up in Canada , I really like watching your videos. The carb is spitting gas out when the cover is off and its leaking from the bottom.

    Hey Kevin, what would you recommend for a broken throttle cable? Since I can’t seem to find any oem replacements anywhere nearby and they don’t make any aftermarket cables specifically for the ke100. I saw some universal ones that come with the entire throttle tube assembly, but I would prefer not changing out that much. What are your thoughts on this? Thanks in advance!

    Where can I find a new rubber seal that goes between the carb and the intake tube? I’ve looked for days on different online retailers and can’t find it in the diagram showing this seal. I found it for the old model carb (with the idle screw on the outer front of the carb, but mine is the newer (1990) model) and I can’t seem to find this seal for the newer style carb. In your video, you said the carb spacer between the carb and intake tube was a different diameter for the old and new model, so I assume the seal is also different.

    Super helpful! Just cleaned the carb on my '76 KH100.
    The plastic idle speed adjustment knob that sticks out the top boot on mine slips on the knurled metal knob underneath -- so I can't adjust the idle speed while riding. Maybe I'm missing a part, but it looks like the plastic knob is just supposed to grip the metal? Got any tips to keep this from slipping?

    Hey Kevin one more question, so I have done almost everything and NOTHING is working. I was hoping you would help. So the symptoms are it is SUPER smoky, it won’t idle at all, it will only idle on choke, it has no power in first two gears but the other gears PULL, and it seems like it is sucking air...just replaced both crank seals and still same results. Could I have installed them improperly?? Thanks!
    Edit: no oil under the stator cover! That means left crank seal is good! So right crank seal again or what?

    Kevin, great video. Couple quick questions regarding my 1970 G4TR Trail Boss.
    1.) When looking up and ordering parts, whats the difference between a G4TR-A, G4TR-B, and G4TR-C and how do I identify which version/model I have?
    2.) I'm looking for a replacement air cleaner element (schematic aligns with G4TR/A/B part) part number 11013027, but only see one used one on ebay that's missing the foam ring and it's $100.00. Got both from ebay. cleaned the carb and checked a couple other things you said to check on your videos but still cant get it to run right. It starts but races and dont want to idle. I had all of the jets out except the one that is down in in front of the main jet. I think you said it was the idle jet. Float is level like you said and everything else seems to look good. Bike was very clean even inside the airbox where carb is so I figured I would be able to get it going no problem. • @2strokeguru
      @2strokeguru  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      running too rich means its getting more fuel than air it causes the engine to run cooler resulting in carbon build up one of the most common problems is a dirty air filter or a air flow restricton like a mouse nest in the air box DONT run the engine with out a air filter cause that will cause extreme opposite problem lean condition start there and let me know how you make out

    • @baqcasanke
      @baqcasanke 6 ปีที่แล้ว
