I came to see the video for "Stay a Little Longer'' and fell down this rabbithole of awesome music. Such an original sound, very southern blues meets country music. Looks like I have a new favorite country band.

wow. what can i say that hasn't been said? so elegant and sophisticated vocals, yet raw performance without a lot of production and studio b.s. great lyrics
That's one of my chief issues with some of their radio stuff. If you listen to the songs on the "BROS" album, the original 5 released (this is one of them), they are all like this. But then they get released for play and they've been tweaked to fit the drive for "pop country" and it's just not the same. Yes it's their choice, but it's hard to listen to "Stay A Little Longer" knowing what it was.
you're right. i suppose you could think of it as just different versions. I went back and listened to the other versions of "Stay a Little Longer" and they're better than what was released. I don't know what the answer is. dumb people like the pop songs on the radio. smart people did a little deeper.
