Led Zeppelin formed in 1968 and went on to become one of the most influential, innovative, and successful groups in modern music, having sold more than 300 million albums worldwide. My favorite Led Zeppelin song. When I was 14 years old and mom and dad weren't home , I would play this song with the volume up as loud as it would go! Those we're great times.

I’m 46 now but remember when I was a teen in the early 90s playing this at full blast on my stepdad’s stereo system, super ear-damaging loud. Those were large speakers. I was all alone in the house, then they walked in on me jamming out at full blast. It was embarrassing, but I mean it _was_ his CD and stereo, so he shouldn’t have been too surprised 😁 Still keeping it alive.

@@williammoyers6513those two intros ARE fairly close, yes, but not exactly the same. The snare accents are different. But yes very similar.
The rhythmically challenging John Bonham intro to the Led's classic "Rock and Roll" is a tribute (actually a close match!) to the epic intro for "Keep A Knockin,'" played by Charles Connor, the iconic drummer on many of The Real King Of Rock and Roll's great 1950s hits. You see, you can't create the future until you know the past well enough to be able to reinvent it. 🥁 The outro drum pattern to R and R is of course that future made manifest and it's all Bonzo.

I'm just glad Led Zeppelin has their channel where we can leave comments.
I love going through them, replying, responding, the way TH-cam used to be.
It was a great way to interact with people who went to shows, who might be going, etc.
This might sound crazy for people today, but I was a cellar rat.
We used to have beer signs light up in those dank basements, incense burning, and we bought/brought albums.
We would sit around and listen to the albums.
You would hand the album jacket around, talk about the artwork, lyrics
if your eyes weren't too fuzzy to read them, and basically get the overall feel of the work the band just put out.
You knew the name of the band members.
That's why I'm glad we can still comment here on Led Zeppelin's channel.

Yeah, Led Zeppelin III was panned at the time. Guess it lit a fire in the band. Strange because their 3rd was different, but still amazing. We have difficulty as a society accepting when our favorite artists confront us with change.

So many people here because Danny Carey just showed them the intro. I did get shown this once but never really got it until he said "and-a-ONE..." and now after 27 years I can't unhear it. It has so much more personality when you hear it the right way too.
was my first 45 single. My sister gave it to me. I think I was only 10 years old. I listened to many Zep-songs. All of them are outraging in rock history, even sound is amazing. Cant be better today! Therefore , 🤠👍👍👍

Ed Kramer who engineered many of the vinyl projects once said, "nobody would have known about Eddie Kramer if it wasn't for Led Zeppelin". The band had the chemistry that most would die for. The popular songs are great for sure but the ones never played on radio are even better. 😎

Note to future generations , this drum beat ( which John Bonham is famous for ) was "keep on knocking but you can't come in" , little richard , beat for beat. Very disappointing to me when I discovered that because I do love John's drumming.😮
