I dig his music. I come from the 80's - 90's guitar players. He's taken what Satriani and Vai has done and put a new twist in it. Modes is something that finally makes sense to me after 30 years of struggling with. His point about Key is on point. I hear a riff or a run in my head. I have to play it in each key to find the sound then look at the chords and decide which Mode fits it or do I just not worry about focusing on a Mode. I have been trying to incorporate arpeggios between chord changes to give a flow to my projects.
The amount of "just google it" questions in the comments of the livestream is crazy to me. Ask questions that he can answer better than a wikipedia page.
I've been a fan of your work practically since the beginning, I started listening to you when I was 12 years old, today I'm 25 and I still follow you my friend, one day I want to meet you and be able to make a jam with you
It's in the ears dudes, just spending time with your instrument and learning about shit and experimenting, you find sounds that you don't know the names of and still have the ability to use. Just keep noodling dudes, if there's a sound you like, emulate it, learn it, use it, with or without the theory.
Stuff like this is so valuable man. Thank you so much for posting this!
Man that is some tasty chord and note choices. Very nice. Thanks for posting.
Valuable stuff indeed. Thanks a bunch
I like to challenge my self by trying to play standard tuned songs in drop c.

When was this livestream? I turn on his IG Live notifications, but I guess I missed this
Is “that riff” that he plays at 18:06 to 18:30 ish from any of his songs? I can’t seem to place it.
He did another one of this with drop D as well
I can’t get over how awesome his tone is, how do I get that lol

I didn’t understand a word this guy said.
Music theory for you my friend
damn prog artists and their masterful knowledge in music theory
Sounds like a personal problem
man I am so lost listening to all this... I just play guitar
☠️☠️
Same here haha, If it sounds good I play it that’s as much theory as my feeble mind can retain lol
knowing all this stuff is how you fully master guitar but i think my head might explode
Try picking up chord progression on standard E, it’ll help up a lot
0:00 lol thats mee in the coments hehehe
Wait....Owane...the literal reason I picked up guitar....knows NO MUSIC THEORY?
EXCUSE ME??????????
wtf
