Been trying to find a replica tone that fits my playing, still hitting at it for the past 3 years :3. Its gotten better, but man that chorus is SOO GOOOD
The clean tone is pretty harsh but then combined with delay it sounds great. Do you run the fractal out through a tube power amp bc that would taje away the harshness if the Basic tone without effects. I saw yesterday the video of Periphery & it sounded just the same without reanping it through a tube power amp or Tube head
He means the pompous attitude a lot of Fractal owners have on the forums. Expect a fair bit of brow beating if you ask questions or have any complaints about a fractal unit on there.

I love how technical, gear-wise, great guitar players are. My old school guitar player isn't interested in any of this so getting him to work on his sound is a chore.
Being an old sack with a fridge rack unit next to me from the 80s and 90s I have to say I love these pieces of equipment...If I was younger I would probably sell my stuff and get an Axe Fx but.... I just love my stuff....lol..And they sound great! Triaxis, ADA-MP-1 JMP-1 2:90, Marshall 9100 stereo rack...into a ribbon and a condenser mic'ed V30s cab....BUT...I really find it so funny and ironic when I hear people describing their Axe Fx 'virtual rig"..."I use the maxon 808 in front of the Friedman amp through some V30s with a 57and a 101..." THERE IS NOTHING THERE mate...It is all imaginary. You think you use this OD, Amp, cab, mic...but you don't. It is just a series of EQs...Good quality for sure, but thats it. Soon enough people will be going: " My Mark 2c+ rig in my Axe Fx sounds like the real thing bla bla bla....." and no one will ever know how a real 2C+ sounds like anyway, no one would ever heard it live...It is just funny.
I'm sure the tone sounds good in a full band mix but it sounds pretty awful on its on. Thats a thing I struggle with is creating tones that work in a mix or with a band and being happy playing by myself. I remember hearing JPs rig back during the falling tour and it sounded like pure mid ass by itself but amazing with the band filling in the space
