2004 Cobra - Car is stock besides being lowered an inch and exhaust. Has original wheel and tires (Goodyear Eagle F1's) that I just put up in storage. Completely stock engine with stock air filter and pulley cover.

one of the most expensive and hardest to obtain paints. when i went to school for collision refinishing our instructor told us when he had his mustang painted ford sent out a rep to watch the paint job take place and then took any left over material and paint swatches including waste that had over spray on it. its also one of the more "ripped off" colors out there since its so hard to obtain from ford there have been tons of companies that have tried to replicate it but cant match it just right..truly one of the most interesting OEM paints that exist
@@mT_atvF5KCVHlk nope completely true. There was a special toner used in the painting process that was also used in printing bills. They were there to take any leftover toner so it didn’t fall into the wrong hands, as it was easy to print believable counterfeit bills with said toner
Such a beautiful car. Got the chance to see one at a car show recently. Only thing I hate about this car is that the side vents are fake. You would think for the Cobra, Ford would have made those actual vents.
This has got to be one of THE best videos to show off how awesome that color is on that gorgeous car!! The green @00:48 is almost startling when you've been seeing nothing but awesome blues and purples. Love love love this paint / car! ONLY thing I'd change would be to get rid of the pony badge in the grill and get that Cobra one. @WookedoutLINK I'd read the same thing in an article and thought it one of the more interesting stories regarding a cars paint, and how it's handled.

@@sammyjjo1456 A lot of factors go into that and would make the price unreasonable. If I sell the car, I'm just going to turn around and buy another thats mint with the same miles or less. I had to travel half way across the country for this one and trailer it home, chances are I'll be waiting a long time to find the perfect one again and will have to travel: Price of the car(X)+My trouble to find another (Y)+Making it Worth My While (Z)= more than its worth. In dollar form X+Y+Z= North of $40k

WookedoutLINK that was done with the 96 mystic. Not the Mystichrome. It’s a hard formula to match but Basf and ppg both have it nailed down.
