One way to boost efficiency in your processes and procedures? Allowing multiple processes to happen at the same time. Watch the full video on my channel for more. #processdriven
I feel like metaphors are great when they end up relating to the real world. I could tell you a long story about cooking dinner too, but if I don’t make it relate to the process at hand then it’s just a boring story about cooking dinner.
That would a very simplified example, but hardly the pure value! Rather than having Step 1, Step 2, and Step 3 to ship an order (aka linear processing) you could do Step 1 and Step 3 at the same time so they’re both done before Step 2 begins (aka parallel processing). It’s a bit more than just “throw more people at it” logic. ✌️
Then suddenly two lines form, one to each cashier, and you will have no guarantee your urgent process/cart can be prioritized in this scaled up system, because you could be unfortunate to have put it in the line with the deadlock to places ahead.
Wow can’t wait to share this tip with my fellow first grade students
😆 Oh someone's feeling sassy.

Really? 2 people doing the same work are faster than just one person? How long have you been sitting on this information?

That’s possible! You might want a different strategy in place if you expect big variation per order time. ✌️
Or, just have the lines split later.
GREAT stuff. Keep going.
Thanks, will do!
Wait people still go to grocery stores?
😂
too complicated for me
