I think the mobile cpus became like desktop cpu's they will boost as much as there is cooling headroom but due to thermal constrain they throttle instantly..
same as my i7 13700k instantly hit 100 degree c and thermal throttle with an antec 240mm aio but upgraded to a lian li 2 360 stays max boost clock under 80 degree c.
Only the gaming phone with active cooling will be able to tamed the snapdragon gen 3.

That geekbench 6 was running for armv8 architecture, not their armv9 I think thats the problem

The Iphone 15 pro max looks timid when been tasked the oneplus 12 looks more brute when been tasked it just charges in at full force. A few updates should make the oneplus a powerful gentle man.

The screen is bright enough. Those 4500 Nits are tested in specific scenarios of HDR video in certain display areas so I can say it's a gimmick but the display is still very good

I made the Benchmark in Geekbench 6.2.2 for my S23 Ultra 512 GB and my results are higher.
I got:
2111 in Singlecore
5526 in Multicore
This phone performs still perfect.
For sure this phone performs perfectly that's why I use it for the whole year. I hope they will not ruin it after the release of S24 Ultra.

Is the brightness cabinets because the OnePlus has a very bright screen that will cause it to over great at max brightness
At the beginning of the video I said brightness is set around 50%

how it's that ? all real life performance tests shows that gen2 is even better than A17, and as iphone user I can tell you that theses phones are just garbage, it tends to lag on keyboard and has many weird performance issues, every ios update fixes issues but at the same time adds new ones, doesn't matter how the chip is powerful if the phone has no heatsink, theses temperature tests seems to be false too as I can clearly overheat my iphone in less than 30mins and it is noticeable HOT like any other phone, and when they test temperatures there is usually 3* difference which you don't feel, when samsung heats up with iphone you can even feel that iphone is hotter when you holding it, these days I don't believe what I see, i'm using phone and I know how bad it is, and A18 will be at Gen3 level in short burst test, benchmarks are not real life performance, using camera for hour, watching in the same time video or having heavy tasks in splitscreen or downing patches for game and music in the background it's something that iphone just can't compete and that's it, people like you are blindfolded by Apple go and watch Geekerwan lab tests comparison A17 to Gen2, A17 is so bad that it can't be magically fixed it's like situation with snap Gen1, so don't expect A18 to be better lol

I personally changed from Samsung to Xiaomi and now I'm preferring this gerogrus OnePlus 12.

Totally agree with you, but most of people when they pay 1000$ and higher price for their phones, can't agree there's something better for less.
so overal, SD 3 is the strongest chip but less stable then SD2 for galaxy, A17 have only best CPu performance but very unstable, SD2 for Galaxy is the most stable chip here with similar overal performance like A17..
Or just OnePlus can't make good thermals
@@SystemHacks yea in point of thermals, Ultra kiling all device, because have biggest cooling chamber and good optimize chip, also, one guy on you tube(in depth tech reviews) make video in long gaming perfomance beetwen Ultra and 15 pro max , after playing hard games makes just for phone and open you tube and google maps in same time, Iphone start throttle and game crush after 9 minutes of playing, display lose brightnes because try to save heat, and thats the new question come, how they think playing AAA games on Iphone when throttle on phone games and some open aplication after 9 minutes hard task?? also samsung have charghe option when play games, so when games start and phone is plug in, chargher dont charghe battery anymore, just directly powers device without charghing battery, no charghing no additional heating..
Apple are kings of optimization and they'll make gaming experience good. These tests In deep tech reviews like are not relevant for me, because if you want to make the device crash you can but that's not a real life scenario and that's why apple don't care about it.
it's just how the phone is assembled and software control, overall in other phones Gen3 is more stable, OnePlus isn't good anymore, anyway S24 ultra will show how stable Gen3 is and if the stability will be at 70% then it will overall perform much better than A17 or gen2, and Dinensity isn't good but GPU performance is just insane
SD 3 for Galaxy will be way stable than SD 2 For Galaxy. S24 Ultra will come with even better cooling system

I'm not trying to compare the brands Samsung vs OnePlus, mostly I'm trying to compare the evolution of snapdragon 8 Gen 3 over 8 Gen 2 👍
On the last GPU test, the iPhone was far more sensibly optimised. It dropped to a stable rate fast and maintained that to give a consistent user experience. The iPhone is managed by software to cope with your actions. The S23U seems to be temp throttled, so as soon as it hits a temp, its performance nudges down as the system gets saturated, leading to a more jerky experience. The OnePlus is the worst; it blasts and then thermal throttles, giving an inferior user experience (see FPS differential).
For me, consistency is better, which is why the iPhone had the best stability and the OP the worst. For a 2023 chip, that was great. The S23U also did better than the OP IMHO. I will only dump on the SD8G3, even with the poor show, once we see how others perform as 2024 progresses. But it doesn't look like an upgrade that amounts to much ATM.
Definitely it's not a big upgrade from 8gen 2. For the idea of having such a powerful CPU(like apple) and throttles it immediately is nonsense. On the other hand OnePlus were never good at thermal management.
@@SystemHacks I think it is a case of what the OEM feels is best for the consumer, and a consistent experience is undoubtedly much better. If Apple was doing worse at the end of the test, you might have a point, but both the S23U and OP perform much worse for stability, and if you are playing games for 2 hours, the far superior experience will be on the iPhone. Sometimes, it is about optimisation, not bragging rights, and Apple nailed it here.

well phone to phone performance isn't the same, look at xiaomi tests, it goes hot but so iphone goes and iphone just can't provide the stability which xiaomi does, any these benchmarks are pointless as in real life multitasking iphone 15 pro max loses even to s23 ultra id dims faster and more than samsung and it even crashed during heavy multitasking test, and as iphone user I wonder why all benchmarks are done specifically for iphone short term performance iphone can't compete I know all weakness of IOS and iphone as i'm using it, no matter what you do iphone won't be better at performance for long term, you can play on android watch video's at the same time and overall multitasking destroys iphone just search it and you'll see that iphone isn't even close, and gen3 closed the gap even more

So sustained performance is for most irrelevant and it is the snappiness of opening an app or doing short-spurt tasks, and single core CPU is what 100% matters there. The iPhone is 30% better than the rest and for me and 95% of iPhone users that is what matters, not silly multitasking tests that no one does on a phone!

How? 😂😂 8gen3 its fuckin joke, not 25% better than 8gen3. Its about 10% worst most trottling and draw more power consumption. Im happy when i buy on february 2023 my s23ultra. Verry good decision. But respect on 15 pro max. Verry good camera detsils zooming.

Oneplus 12 never lag like absolute zero, but even speed tests i have seen s23U facing animation lags having world one of fastest chips. One ui is kind a unstable heavy os
