    So is it just because of the TSB that the intake vvt gear was deemed bad? I have a 2014 rav4 2ARFE with about 200k miles - that now makes that noise, how do I know which vvt gear will be the culprit, or could it just be a bad tensioner and not the vvt gears at all?

    Hey bud, why did you advance the timing 10° on the crank pulley? I'm about to do this. Your video is awesome and the best.
    And also, did you have to compress the tensioner again before you put it in. Is that the reason why you had the nail in there?

    • @JuanRubio99
      @JuanRubio99  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      That’s what Technical Service bulletin said unless I misinterpreted the information, I could be wrong. But my car is running fine. Yes I did have to compress the tensioner hence the nail

      @@JuanRubio99 Thank you Juan, very much. These Camrys go forever, and I'm fixing my wife's up because I know I can get another 150,000 out of it. With the scarcity and availability of new cars because some kind of delivery/chip problem that they say, used cars are going for a premium now. I'm doing my best to keep mine running.
      Sorry to bother you but one more question, after putting tension on the chain with a bungee, was it very difficult getting the gear away from the chain? I noticed you said you had to rotate it, and then put it back in the same way you took it out.
      Thnx
